Northwest Raleigh features a unique combination of residential neighborhoods and convenient shopping centers all in park-like setting. City planners wanted to preserve as much of the landscape as possible while also making a way for a sprawling city in need of high-quality, affordable housing. The major routes in this part of town are lined with mature oaks and plenty of greenery. Shopping malls and retailers like Crabtree Valley Mall blend into this park-like community seamlessly, and often can’t even be seen form the road. Although this neighborhood is known for being residential, you can find many major attractions nearby like the North Carolina Museum of Art off Blue Ridge Road. Many Raleigh residents call this section of town home because if provides affordable apartments complexes, established subdivisions with large lots, and convenient access to Downtown Raleigh, located less than 10 miles away.

Property Ratings at Autumn Ridge
Forced cable package that costs more than my preferred package from the same provider, no less. Trash all over the parking lots, dog poo in the grass, apathetic office staff. They keep jacking up the rent but make no improvements. Maintenance is inept, incapable of simple repairs.
The things I liked most about my year long stay at Autumn Ridge was the quietness of the neighborhood and real wood fireplaces, which are almost impossible to find. Management and maintenance were always exceptionally responsive in the few times I needed them. Had a brand new refurbished apartment too! Give them a strong look. You will be glad you did!
On the surface it looks like a great place - beautiful grounds, good location. But in the past eight or nine months it has gone downhill. There's trash littering the property around the buildings and in the parking lot, more nighttime appearances by police due to disturbances, and the pool and surrounding area have been shut down the entire summer. The pool was completely unusable beginning in the spring of 2018 and never opened at all. There have also been issues with their online payment system. I've spoken with several of my neighbors and they're all concerned about the same issues. Don't even bother with Autumn Ridge.
I visited in February and loved what I saw. Then I moved here in June and for the first month it was a pretty good experience. I was excited to be close to fun spots in the area. The day I moved in, my neighbor said “This is a place you move OUT of, not into.” Yikes. Now that I’ve been here for a few months, I understand why. 1. The pool was supposed to open in May, but it didn’t open at all this summer. I never saw people working on it, and we didn't get any discount for it on rent. 2. The office will mark online that they have completed our maintenance requests without ever walking into the apartment. How can you fix a broken toilet or spray for roaches if you don’t enter the room? 3. I didn’t want to pay extra for washing machines, so I was happy to hear they have laundry rooms across the property. The problem? They don’t have air conditioning, and the machines are filled with dead, and sometimes alive bugs as well. 4. The stairs are always disgusting, with bugs and cobwebs. I have never seen them power washed. Basically, don’t live here. I moved here for the price and the location, but it's just not worth it. I'm paying too much money for such a disappointing experience.
If I could give 0 stars, I would. The customer service from the manager has been non-existent over the past month and now I am being charged an additional $800 of which I do not owe. Customer Service for Autumn RIdge has become horrific since new management took over.

My fiancé and I have lived at Autumn Ridge for almost 4 years now. We have had a pretty good experience here until this past year. We have seen the high turnover rate from the staff at the office over the last 2 years. The team here now has been the worst bunch so far. 1. When I called to verify when our lease ended, I was sent to a call center. The people working at the call center no nothing about your lease or anything. So it is beyond unhelpful. My fiancee called multiple times and finally got someone that could help with our lease. We were simply told we could not renew our lease because they were going to renovate our apartment at the end of the lease. The only option we were given was to move to a newly renovated apartment in a different building. So essentially we have 4 months to figure out where we would like to live. The apartment complex gave us NO indication that we would have to be moving when we renewed our lease or anything. We have even asked to end our lease 1 month early and were told there was nothing they could do. 2. No matter how much you complain about a neighbor this apartment complex does nothing but sends out a letter to a the whole building talking about the issues. No rules are enforced so everyone can do whatever they want. Any dog breed? Sure. Just they them it is a mix. They do not check. Do not want to pick up after your dog? No problem. Leaving trash bags outside your door for days? Whatever you want. They do not care apparently. This apartment complex is more like a frat house than anything else. Especially as nasty as it looks. 3. Bugs are never ending.. 4.The apartment is falling apart. Never put anything on the mantle. We learned the hard way. The apartment is made of all cheap material and the paint job is pretty terrible. 5. The stairs are always disgusting. They are rarely pressure washed. The 1 pro: The maintenance team has also come to the rescue for us. They are quick responding and will do there best. Jerone has above and beyond for us when our fridge went out. If you are looking for somewhere to live, look elsewhere. Promise it is not worth it.
Staff was very friendly and I love the new updated floor plans the flooring is absolutely beautiful and very spacious!
I Have lived here for 6 monthes and when this place says they are renovating, they ACTUALLY mean it. They are very proactive with making sure this apartment complex looks good. Great job management and staff!! ???? Thank you for all you do Autumn Ridge
Friendly staff, very fast repairs, nice features, up to date everything in the apartment, quite, friendly and welcoming. No complaints.
Is a great place to live as a single female. There is always parking at any time of the day. This location is very safe and the police station is just minutes away. The office staff are always helpful with any problems that may come up. There is a great pool, kids play area and dog park to enjoy.
We love our 2/2 apartment here at Autumn Ridge. Super spacious for a great price. Two balconies, open living area, tons of closet space, and pet friendly! There are a few cosmetic things with the walls and fixtures that are kind of an eyesore but they're minimal, and the appliances aren't new, but I think they're going to be update pretty soon: The amenities are decent, we like to pool area and the dog park. Staff are super friendly too. Overall, we love it here.
Nice location, close to shopping and restaurants, also convenient to my work.
After living here for a few months my opinion of Autumn Ridge is just as my title says, it't alright but not anything spectacular. The apartments themselves are in decent shape, but the appliances are very outdated and the general condition of the units are lacking. My apartment was covered in popped nails, oversprayed paint that got on the cabinets and appliances, and the floor was filled with soft spots, just to name a few. As for the people, it is a real mix of folks living in this community. There are everything from college kids to families, but most seem to be poorer. It can get loud and there is definitely a fair amount of drug use around (the main reason why I'm moving out). All in all, Autumn Ridge is fine, just not the place where necesarilly everyone would want to live.
