Property Ratings at AutumnCreek Apartment Homes
They do not follow up to emails/calls. Once they do they are very rude and not very well to work with.
I've lived here for almost 11 years and I've never had a serious problem with any of my neighbors. Until my current upstairs neighbors moved in, that is. I've sent three emails to the property manager over the last four months complaining about the noise they were making and I was ignored each time. After getting no response, I followed up with a phone call. The property manager was very rude. She confirmed that she had received my emails, she just wasn't going to do anything about it. The one time I ask the property manager to do her job and, you know, manage the property, she refuses. I would not recommend living here.
The maintenance staff is very quick to respond should you have any issues. The grounds are kept clean and beautiful looking. The property manager is wonderful & friendly. This has been the best complex I have lived it. I feel safe here, it's quiet, and close to the mall/restaurants. I always enjoy the community dinners they provide for us. I would recommend Autumn Creek Apartments and the management team of Gold Leaf Development are wonderful.
I just want to say that normally I'm not someone who would ever leave a bad review, but in this case my experience with the apartments went downhill during my time there. The apartment itself was pretty nice for the price point, however the fitness center has taken a turn for the worst with the machines frequently out of service and the cleaning wipes always out of stock. My biggest issue, though, was the fact that the leasing office was almost impossible to work with. I would call and leave messages, I would email, and they would never respond. I usually ended up having to leave work early to go into their office whenever I needed something. This was particularly problematic when a washer issue caused my apartment to flood, and the leasing office wasn't helpful in scheduling follow up to take care of the issue. Another issue occurred when the maintenance staff lit the pilot light in my fireplace (as I requested) but didn't turn off the switch so my apartment was 96 degrees when I got home from work. I contacted the leasing office to let them know what happened, and I never heard anything back. Those were just a few of the issues I had in my last year living at Autumn Creek. After the last year, I cannot recommend these apartments.
This was my first apt after graduating university. It was really lovely, maintenance was quick to respond to any issues that arose and appliances worked excellently. Community events were something to look forward to and my neighbors were very polite.
I’ve lived here in a 2nd floor unit for three years. Great tenant. Always paid rent in time. One time I asked to transfer to empty unit on 3rd floor because of excessive noise both above and below my unit. Was told no with no reason given. Had issues with drugs in the building and was told to deal with it myself. Am moving now and asked to extend my lease one month mid summer and was denied, despite the many vacant units already in the complex. Not accommodating at all, not smart business and very unprofessional as far as I’m concerned
Autumn Creek is so homey! The maintenance team is so quick to respond and helps out with any issue you may have in a timely manner. The management staff is friendly, courteous, and always helpful. This is by far the best apartment complex I have ever lived in, and I've lived in a few. A great location and reasonable rent make this a great place to live!!
Property Manager at AutumnCreek Apartment Homes, Responded To This Review
Hello and Thank you! We are so pleased to hear that you are enjoying your new apartment. We take great pride in our properties and staff and we all are glad to hear that you are having such a positive experience. Again, thank you for your feedback and I will share your comments with the AutumnCreek staff as well. Have a wonderful holiday season in your AutumnCreek home!
I've been a resident with these folks for close to 3 years now, and the staff has always been great with me (big time kudos to Marie). Any issues that I've had were resolved timely, and they have always been willing to work with me. Rent is affordable, and the apartments themselves are well maintained. My apartment was spotless when I moved in, pearly white carpets, freshly painted walls, and clean from door to balcony. This has been a safe & secure place to live. Tap water can be a bit harsh though, so I definitely recommend either filtering your drinking water, or going with bottled water. My favorite thing about living here is that you have the benefits of living near everything without the hassle of living directly in the city. The location of these apartments is literally a stone's throw from Madison's East Towne mall, and there are plenty of grocery stores & restaurants all within a 5 minute drive. If you're not a fan of Madison's stores, Sun Prairie is right down the road, so that's a bonus. The underground parking & in unit washer/dryer/dishwasher units are definitely a plus too. The landscaping/cleaning crew takes good care of the place, no gripes there. As for the other tenants, I haven't had any issues that I've needed to notify management about. Through the winter months, my apartment was fairly easy to keep heated. With it being a newer complex, the windows hold good and the apartment seemed well insulated. The option to use electric or gas (fireplace) for heat is nice too. The only winter gripe that I have is that with the hills around the apartments, it can be a royal pain to maneuver through in the snow. They've always been good about getting the plows in early and getting salt down so there's really not much else they can do about this. Overall, I'd definitely say that this is a great place to live!
The location was great! I was hoping the apartments would be larger. Looking for a little more room.
Very nice location and property. Lindsay was very accommodating and helpful. This coming from a homeowner for the last 35 years so it will take some adjustment :-)
They never contacted me regarding my interests for renting an apartment there. I scheduled a showing there and the lady that showed us the apartment was very rude and unprofessional.

Doni, we regret that you feel that you did not have a pleasant experience during your last visit to Autumn Creek. We keep record of every showing that we have. When we reviewed yours it looked like you were unsure of when you wanted to move, and were looking for a less expensive apartment than the most affordable option we had to offer at Autumn Creek. We also manage the Autumnwood property across the street that may be closer to the price range you were looking for, and we'd welcome you back to come take a look at the two bedroom options over there. We will keep you name and phone number in our files and if a less expensive option such as a sublet or smaller apartment comes available we will contact you and find a convenient time for another tour. Thank you for your feedback - we always like to know what we can do to improve our customer service to potential and current residents.
These apartments are good for the price. The amenities offered are good. They look like they well maintained and managed. Before I had my tour I was offered coffee and cookies!
