Property Ratings at AVA Back Bay
There are many issues both pro & con to living here. Rent increases yearly at a considerable rate for less than luxury surroundings. Pet policy is sketchy because they say only cats are allowed but dogs have been proliferating; all service dogs? I sincerely doubt it. Hot water, a/c & heat are included but are not very reliable.

I live with my boyfriend. As new to Boston, AVA helps us settle down. I love the location of the building. People here are really nice. The only thing I think AVA should improve is probably some renovation inside the building. Though we love here, I don't know whether I am able to live here after the rent end because of the increasing rent.
I just moved to Boston. In this lovely apartment, I met some friendly people who are very helpful. However, the high rent is making it impossible for me to afford. My current rent is due this December. However, I think I will have to move out to a far 2-bedroom apartment.
I currently live in the AVA building in downtown Boston. The location could not be better. There are so many amazing restaurants right outside your door and you could walk to anything in the city from the building. You literally could get to NYC without going outside, who could say that??? The management of the building couldn't be more helpful. They are quick to respond to any issues that arise and always are very friendly. The manager of the AVA building is always willing to listen and help in any situation large or small. I have lived in the buildings for many years and honestly have no plans on leaving. Sure, we are in the middle of a city and the construction could be frustrating at times, but really what could one expect, it's a thriving area. I would recommend anyone to live in the building without hesitation!!!
