Property Ratings at Avalon Alderwood
I thought only parking and car break in is an issue in this society, but apparently even packages are not safe here. My expensive and large package is being stolen from inside a building and no one from the staff is willing to help or provide access to the building with locker to just check if it has been misplaced.
This complex is extremely unsafe. There is a ton of theft that goes on here. Management has been made aware by multiple tenants and they do not care. They have done nothing to make sure the residents are safe. You will have property stolen if you live here. Look else for a safer community. This place is scary. Will not be renewing my lease.
This is the worst community I have lived at. I have been here for several years and this place has just declined. I’ve gotten my car broken into twice back to back. They say the have camera’s for security but yet the camera in front of my car doesn’t face my car. Funny how that works. They used to have security that would walk the complex and now I’ve yet to see one. This I supposed to be a safe place to live and there are so many unsafe things. I’ve walked out to my car to see a homeless person injecting himself right in front of my car. Now I know they can’t do anything about that because the area is full of ppl trashing it but why is there nothing being done about security? I’ve found needles around the complex, the hallways always smell awful and are constantly trashed. The maintenance staff here are great and they work hard but they can only do so much. Avalon charges so much but yet can’t keep the place safe and clean. The amount of staff that has changed since I have been here has been ridiculous. There is one person in particular that works in the office who is just the rudest person ever. She clearly hates her job and doesn’t want to be there. When ever we go in for help she does the bare minimum if at that. Everyone else that I have worked with has been so pleasant and great and has really tried to help when it comes to certain things. Now as for guest parking that doesn’t even exist. After hours they let you park in future resident parking and they have about 8 spots that that can be used for visitors. It is so inconvenient especially for an apartment complex of this size. We used to have parking and now it’s all changed. If you have guest good luck on getting any parking. This place is overly priced for no reason. They say they go off of market value but I know that isn’t true. So many people have been moving out and they constantly have vacant apartments. I have never had so many complaints about a place. I can’t wait for my lease to be over. I would not recommend living here.
I was touring these apartments and saw roaches. Plus the neighbors were so loud above. Nice pics onlinebut worth the price living with roaches and loud neighbors above me.
For the price you pay, the customer service is TERRIBLE. Only 5 visitor parking spots for this massive community. The MOST expensive building is the loudest. Living next to a creek and it’s visitors isn’t worth the money
Very rude and horrible management. I made an appointment for today and no-one showed up for a tour, wasted our time. No one called us to apologize or reschedule. I will not recommend this apartment.
I wasn't going to write a review at all because this experience was too overwhelming to talk about...but now that I have had time to let it sit I think it's important that I share it so no one else ends up in this situation. Simply stated, my apartment was infested with cigarette beetles, moths, and green larvae that would crawl on the floor and kitchen pantry. I tried to move into another unit only to find the small beetles in those apartments as well. that was three more apartments that had bugs in it. At this point, I decided to move out of the complex completely. I feel like the apartment should have offered to cover the cost incurred for the move as it was not cheap and a complete inconvenience . I had moved to washington state for work and was in the process of starting my new job so this was way more stress than I needed or could handle. From Aug 7 or so up until Sept 9 when I moved out they could not resolve the problem. Orkin came and sprayed and it didn't help. I sprayed my own bug killer and it didn't help. I am not sure what the legal ramifications are for something like this but I feel like when an apartment fails to maintain livable conditions they should be responsible for the cost incurred to move out of the apartment whether it be into another apartment in the complex OR in my case completely out of the community. I ended up throwing away all my food in the pantry because I did not want to transfer anything over to my new living space considering they were all over the pantry.

Parking is free, but if you want assigned parking then there's a fee but I haven't had trouble finding a parking space. The kitchen looks beautiful! My apartment didn't have an island which I thought it was going to have but I was okay with it since I was very happy with the place. I'm living on the top 5th floor with a nice vaulted ceiling which makes the place feel much bigger. There's no neighbor sounds, the insulation is great! It's next to a major street so there is street noises but it doesn't bother me. Everything in the apartment was in excellent condition but a few stains on the carpet. The rent price is a little higher then I hope but I'm very happy with the place. It's near everything I need.

When my girlfriend and I first started looking for apartments we fought a lot. Between prices, location and style it was a stressful time when it should have been fun and exciting. After touring multiple places we had gotten nowhere. Finally, we agreed to take a look at Avalon alderwood. When we got here we both were blown away with the modern look and beauty of the actual apartment, the incredible location and ease of access to both freeways as well as close shopping centers (Alderwood mall, Fred Meyer, Costco and plenty of restaurants). The immediate selling point to us, however, was the security. A computerized key is needed just to get into the building, let alone your own apartment room. The security and safety features were an absolute necessity as I work nights into the early mornings. Moreover, it has a 24 hour access gym with everything you need. The pool area is gorgeous as well as all the other amenities they provide, like the mutliple public barbecue areas. Not everything is perfect, our elevator takes an insane amount of time to use and the trash schute we have in the building sometimes doesn't open. However, those problems have made us feel spoiled as many apartment complexes don't even offer such additions for convenience. Overall our experience has been wonderful. The staff has made us feel very welcome and there has never been a problem with any of our neighbors. It is even a smoke free complex! If you can afford the prices I would highly recommend this area to anybody looking!
I love my apartment which has a view of the pool. It has stainless steel appliances and very cozy. I love sleeping and waking up everyday in my apartment.
I have been nothing but pleased with Avalon Alderwood. From the staff in the main office to the maintenance crew, they never disappoint. The apartments have great finishes compared to any others I have seen, and at a price comparable to those with cheaper finishes. The grounds are all also very well kept and there are so many nice amenities. My favorite part of the place has to be the gym, which is huge for an apartment complex gym, it has 2 stories and a lot of equipment. The pool is very nice too, as well as the grilling area. As far as location, it's pretty unbeatable. There is a shopping center with plenty of places to eat right across the street, and the Alderwood mall is just minutes down the street. They are even building a second phase, which rumor is they will be putting in a general use space for guests and events. What a great place to live!
The Avalon Alderwood Apartments, in Lynnwood Washington, are newly built; strategically just off the I-5 freeway and Alderwood Mall Parkway. These units have a variety of floorplans and building configurations with multiple parking options. Shopping is literally a walk across the street with a mega mall just a short drive away. Located on the major bus lines offers access to mass transit and the nearby freeway leads to all of North Seattle and Universities. The pool and Bar-B-Q areas are perfectly maintained. The perfect combination of fun and convenience in the Puget Sound.
This apartment was all brand new and never lived in, when we moved in. It's beautifully appointed with higher-end appliances, fixtures, counter tops and modern accent wall color. The rooms are also larger than other places we looked at in the area. It's right across the street, and walking distance to grocery shopping, restaurants, and health, dental and vision clinics. And, it has a great swimming pool and a state of the art work out facility. It's got everything we were looking for!
This complex fit our needs the best as far as location and amenities. The staff were very helpful and very knowledgeable about the complex and surrounding areas. Looking forward enjoying our new home.
