I have lived here for many years, and unfortunately, this place has gone downhill. As someone mentioned, if you happen to live next to loud and inconsiderate neighbors, the leasing staff won't do anything about it (even when you put in noise complaints). For the amount you pay, you wouldn't expect to be dealing with people blasting music all hours of the night, smell of weed throughout the complex, and pet waste all around the grounds. There have also been a handful of tire theft incidents over the years. I would be careful renting here and would look at other complexes. Again, for the price you are paying, you wouldn't expect to be dealing with the behavior of many of the tenants who live here. And know that management tolerates this behavior and will not enforce rules.
I’ve been here for little over a year and for the first few months it’s been peaceful. However, things changed when this inconsiderate neighbor moved next to me. He has been LOUD even during quiet hours and I have sent in noise complaints to the apartment. Nothing, all they do is send in a warning but it doesn’t matter if your neighbor is an inconsiderate tool. Don’t live here, you get no peace for the price you pay!
Community has gone downhill since being acquired by AvalonBay from JLB. Weed smoke everywhere, and breaking and entering into vehicles. Paying for parking, but no towing; allowing others to park for free. Paper thin walls and flooring, can hear everything. Would not recommend.
This place is awful. They say it is smoke free but I guess weed is okay. The place is falling apart looks good and is kind of quiet only because they cant keep places occupied for the high price and low quality.
This community has unfortunately gone extremely far downhill since we moved in, roughly 2.5 years ago. Crime in public areas has increased dramatically, with suspicious activity a regularity at this point and damage to a vehicle at some point during a one-year lease nearly guaranteed. Avalon are doing nothing to address these concerns by improving security, improving lighting in parking lots, nor installing cameras in public areas. The apartments are built and maintained to very low standards. Noise travels easily through walls and ceilings, cabinet doors and bedroom/bathroom doors hinges strip out often. The foundation in our building has clearly shifted since being built in 2016 and has led to doors no longer lining up with frames, cracking drywall seams, etc. Our apartment sustained continuous severe water damage throughout our second lease term, despite many full days of 'construction' taking place in our apartment's living area to 'fix' the issue. After which, a thick layer of drywall dust was left over all of our belongings and we were left to clean it ourselves. This on top of the lack of response to other relatively major maintenance requests (usually the result of deferred maintenance to major equipment like the A/C, water heaters, etc.) make it a chore to live here. The maintenance staff themselves are mostly wonderfully helpful, they're just clearly overworked and understaffed, it seems. Spend your rent money elsewhere, please.
I have been living here since they opened in 2020 and I can’t wait to move this month. I am I paying 2 bedroom prices for a 1 bedroom, any service requests you put in online they will ignore until you call and beg for someone to come fix it, walls are paper thin, and you can hear stomp above you.
I read the other review listed on here and couldn’t agree more. I’ve been here a little over a year, was here since they first opened up in august of 2020. I had to move to a different unit within a month of living here because of how loud the resident above me was. It was unbearable. I could literally hear everything and I complained all the time about how loud they were, so they moved me to a different unit. But LUCKY ME, I moved to a unit that had a resident above me that was 10x worse. I contacted the leasing office multiple times regarding how loud the resident was and they were no help at all. As of this month, I’ve decided to move out because of the noise level. It’s honestly a shame how poorly the floors are built and pitiful that residents have to live like that. If you move here, request a 4th floor apartment or you’ll be living in hell. However, the apartments are beautiful and I love the amenities.
I can't understand how they advertise this place as luxury. The building floors have thin walls. My upstairs neighbor stomps around like they are in a grocery store walking around shopping, I can hear them cough and I can hear them vacuum. At this point, they might as well live in my apartment. That is how much you can hear through these walls. As always cooperate greed get in the way and these companies will build in any way that is the cheapest but not the most comfortable for the people they are serving, SMH. I dont think alot of poeople will stay here that long with this kind of noise from neighbors. Don't advertise luxury when the building is not built to luxury standards!
