As its name implies, Central Downtown is located in the center of Fremont and is home to the city’s downtown district. Located between three major freeways and a train station located in the northern end of the neighborhood, Central Downtown is a popular spot for those working at tech companies in Silicon Valley. Downtown is home to several medical facilities including Fremont Center Hospital, Kaiser Permanente Fremont Medical Center, and the Washington Hospital Healthcare System, providing renters with employment opportunities and healthcare close to home as well. Residents can walk, bike, or drive to diverse restaurants, grocery stores, and shopping centers like the Fremont Hub, an outdoor mall with big-box department stores. Along with central location and abundant amenities, renters love being within walking distance to Central Park, Fremont’s largest park with playgrounds, a skate park, a water park, and more.

Property Ratings at Avalon Fremont
I visited this complex in 2022. I read the reviews, and my main concern was theft! Before going into the office to check out some units, saw a windshield repair man. Talked to him, and he said car was broken into the night before. Said it's not his first time there too! I left after talking to him. lol. There's no gates and at a BUSY intersection. I think I made the right choice. lol.
Been living here for over a year, we've had items stolen from our garage, attempted break-in on my trailer, a serious increase in cars broken into both in garages and parking spots. There's no security whatsoever, and the only cameras are the ones that tenants have purchased. Homeless were living in the storage units inside of garages. The pedestrian doors have all been broken into and management has done nothing to address the lack of security. No communication has come from the management on a course of action. The apartments are overpriced for what you get. Go rent a house for the same price or even cheaper and save yourselves the police attention this "community" gets.
1. The place is very noisy. 2. All equipments are very old. The kitchen ventilator got broken during COVID but they won't replace it. 3. The staffs more like the owner of property. They are very tough. Never negotiate with tenant. Their words are always like: we are not arguing, we are making statement. Old place + bad people.
The staff was very rude and impatient. Virtual tour was scheduled with them at 4pm but they never responded. When I call the leasing office about the appointment, the lady blamed me for calling them after the office was closed. She is really unprofessional and rude
From day 1 I was impressed with Avalon Fremont. Mae helped me pick out the apartment that was right for me and always was available for any questions I had. After moving in she told me to please contact her directly if I had any questions or comments. About a week after moving in I did notice a few things that while weren't broken, weren't perfect (just like any other move). I brought these to Mae's attention and they were fixed immediately and haven't been a problem since. Now that I'm writing the review I'm realizing I haven't had to request maintenance other than that first week I moved in. The community is very friendly and the neighborhood is nice. I really like that Avalon is so close to transportation. A few of my coworkers are jealous that the our work shuttle stops right at Avalon Fremont. It's a huge plus. Every time I've needed to pick up a package no matter who is working they immediately recognize me by name and ask how they can help. Also, I found out earlier this month during an emergency just how caring and kind the staff at Avalon Fremont is. They went above and beyond to help me out and asked for nothing in return. The least I can do is say thank you again here and spread the word that this is an amazing place to live.
Safety, convenience, responsible staff, great location.. All these features make me feel I made the right decision renting here. I am a widow and these things matter a lot. The floor plan with tons of cabinets and washer/dryer in the unit is another feature to be lauded. The patio size is just right for my dachshund to sunbathe and run around.
This building complex is great! I moved in here in July '15, and the first thing we noticed was a funny odor coming from the carpet, after talking with the maintenance staff, they agreed to replace the carpet, they even helped move all of my furniture the day of the replacement. The staff here are really outgoing, and they remember all residents names. But more than that, they go out of their way to make sure that everything is going well with your apartment, they even help out with local knowledge of events for new to the area people. This complex does have a lot of families, and if you chose to live near the pool, like me, you will hear kids playing in the pool area. The gym is nice, a little small, but never overcrowded. This is California, so if you want to do anything, you're going to have to drive there, but with a private garage, storing my car was not a problem. If you park outside in the provided spaces, they tend to fill and empty according to most people's work schedules, so be aware you may not get a space directly outside your apartment. I have only lived here for a month so far, but everything has been of good quality, and the rent is relatively affordable for the San Fran/Bay area.
