Property Ratings at Avalon of Hermitage
Half the amenities are broken or can't actually be accessed, we lived here for a year and they never fixed out broken patio door, the hot water doesn't work, no parking, loud neighbors, stolen packages, broken entry gate. Just don't stay here. And if for some reason you do, don't expect them to be in the office, ever.
The new management here is amazing. Savannah and Cheryl in the office are both very friendly and eager to help. They worked with us to get a unit we love. DJ the maintenance man is great and has always been there to help us with anything we've requested right away. I feel that everyone really cares about the tenants and treat us with kindness. Everything has truly been great!

Hello, thanks for the positive feedback! We're always happy to hear good things from our residents.
This place could be great. The landscape is nice and the apartments are reasonably sized. They're not cheap but affordable. That's about it when it comes to pro's. The con's? The apartments are poorly maintained, ours had a serious slant all over, especially in the kitchen. You had to push the fridge door all the way in because gravity would open it back out!! Maintenance staff would always tell you 'well this place was built 25 years ago so there's nothing we can do'!. Same excuse when it came to the heating system not working during the ice storm last year or the AC being dead when temperatures started rising. They tried to cut corners with both before realizing they'd have to get new equipment. They'd give you a 'bonus month', naturally after you stay and pay for a whole year. Then, if you don't extend your lease and they find out that you're moving out, they rush you and tell you they promised(!) someone else that they could move into YOUR unit weeks before your deadline is up!! Don't even dream about getting your deposit back. Even if you go back and patch up all the holes in the wall, clean up real nice, they'll hit you with a bunch of bogus fees and tell you that you owe them(!) money. And, they sent it straight to collections without sending us a letter first. Seriously, forget these people.

Thanks for the 5-Star Review- it makes us feel great about all that we are doing here at Avalon of Hermitage Apartments!
Went to look at a unit on last week and was very impressed. Very nice snd kind staff with great service! Now im strongly thinking about applying for a 2 bedroom??
This place sucks. It's cheap and there is a good reason for that. I guarantee you, you will have some problems with your unit within the 1st few months. Itll take a while to get fixed and itll be fixed the cheapest way possible. The stuff is unhelpful and rude!
Hi, my name is Sierra Jackson and I live in a horrible apartment. I have stage 5 Kidney failure and I have just recently been put on the list for a transplant, I am currently on dyalisi now. This apartment has mold and I had asked them to come and fix it but they haven't. I have been sick for a month in a half because of it, I wake up with my throat hurting and barley being able to talk because of it. Please help me get out of here, you'd honestly be saving my life. I can provide medical records of my condition if needed, I am 19 years old and I have a job and go to college, I have a good head on my shoulders and I will not let my Kidney failure defeat me.
The buildings and aesthetics are fairly average compared to other apartments in this area. Their about right in the middle on price for this area. Their landscapers are excellent. There is a small park for children and also a number of car garages for those who want to keep their car indoors. Their staff is generally friendly and easy to deal with. We have had a number of maintenance issues, all easily resolved. Other than 1 robbery we have never seen or heard of any crime in the area. There is a hospital close by. A bar, grocery store, and gas station all within walking distance. 20 different restaurants within 3 miles. Easy interstate access. These apartments are a find.
wife and I moved to Nashville just over a year ago and had to select an apartment pretty fast. We chose Avalon because the grounds were nice and it was a gated community. All seemed well. Two days after we moved in, our neighbors were smoking marijuana on the steps right in front of our door. Strike 1. When I complained to the office, I found out that they sublet lease their apartments to the Nashville School of Art and that basically the apartments around us were dorms. Strike 2. Then our upstairs neighbor's children sounded like a pack of elephants and the leasing staff did not seemed to care much. Strike 3. There have been numerous evenings that the police are just outside my balcony for various reasons like; Drinking, Domestic disputes, and loud noise complaints. Strike 4. Our apartment flooded several times (Upstairs Neighbors toilet) so you can imagine the smell that has accompanied that, also which has never been fixed. Strike 5. We read reviews before we moved in (mostly bad) but the staff seemed nice so against my better judgement, we moved in. If you are a respectable person and like to live in peace and get what you pay for.....DO NOT MOVE HERE!! The staff are the most unprofessional people I have ever dealt with and the complex is not worth half of what is charged for rent. I look forward to when we can leave!!!
