Love the community. Very good location with great woodsy scenery. Staff is great. Neighbors are wonderful. My experience at Avana has been wonderful.
I like the location of the complex, no noise, lots of greenery, helpful staff. I don't like that there is no playground and some people don't follow the rules for walking dogs.

Fantastic location near restaurants, shopping and 85 385 exits. Super spacious apartment homes and apartment home amenities! Love the wood burning fireplace.

All of the staff have been warm, friendly and helpful. The maintenance crews have been quick to respond and fixed the few problems. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. Even after the hurricane, the debris was removed quickly.

The playground as displayed on the website looks nothing like the playground on site. It’s falling apart and my child can’t even enjoy it. The floors are so creaky I hear almost every step my neighbor upstairs takes. This was a disappointing move in unfortunately. Hopefully new tenants in the future will have a better experience.

Very nice neighborhood and very quiet. Good amenities . Also, nice forest atmosphere and a trail as well. Staff is very friendly. Maintenance still has some issues at times

Maintenance here is terrible . I have put in multiple requests to only have nothing done. As well as my friend in another building … who cannot get maintenance or staff to help with ongoing issues within their apartment as well. Property not kept up either . Run down swing sets … tennis courts , etc

1. Move in day. Toilet in 2nd bathroom needed a ring replaced. Maintenance apparently knew about it but no one told us not to use it. It took a month or more and several requests to get the toilet replaced as they couldn’t get the right sized part to repair. So for 1st month we couldn’t use one of the toilets. Preventable had they told us. 2. Overflowed air conditioning drains. Apparently 4 air conditioners drain into a locked closet in our apartment (only maintenance has keys). Maintenance told us that the drains get clogged periodically with dust and debris and need to be cleaned out. It took 2 minutes or less for him to shop vac it out. Unfortunately, because they didn’t do this maintenance preventatively we had a flood that required a restoration service to bring in fans to dry it out. Preventable with routine maintenance. 3. Water runoff from heavy rains pools in front of our apartment and overflows onto our patio and into the apartment. Preventable with barriers, redirecting gutter flow, and grading of property to allow runoff away from the building. This flooding was the worst yet and required the restoration company to extract water, remove baseboard, and install fans and dehumidifiers. There is, not surprisingly, mold behind the baseboards. We had heavy rains again the next day and we’re watching the rain water flowing onto our patio and toward our door. We called the emergency maintenance line asking for help to redirect the water and were told there was nothing they could do. So I guess we just have to watch the water flow into our apartment every time we get heavy rain? My husband and I went outside and did what we could to divert the water and were scooping it off the patio to prevent more interior flooding. Where was the help from the property? Not even a phone call to discuss it with us. Absolutely unacceptable. They are helpful after a disaster but unwilling to do anything preventative or to assist in the moment. It seems to be the more expensive, frustrating, and unhealthy approach, but I’m not management. Nice staff if you can get someone to talk to you. It doesn’t mean they will do anything to help you but they will be pleasant. Maintenance is responsive for damage but repairs can take longer than necessary. Quiet, lovely neighborhood. Nice neighbors. Not proactive. Mold, flooding and multiple preventable water issues.

Great place to live, except the maintenance department. It takes forever to get anything done. Me and my wife have had an easy experience. I wish they would check on the gym though, the 25 LBS weights are missing, a TV has been unplugged for almost a year now, and it’s getting kinda gross in spots.

I’ve found Avana Thornblade to be the hidden gem in this area. The apartments are spacious and feel private. The office staff goes above and beyond to make the community great. They are always so pleasant and helpful. The same goes for the maintenance team. They are quick to respond and really care about helping you. The neighborhood is quiet, peaceful, and feels safe.

Had many troubles with the apartment. There was white paint over spray and drops on the stove and all over the mirrors, one of the closet door fell off its hinges (and when fixed, maintenance didnt even screw back in all of the hinges), when we moved in, it was taking 2 cycles to dry clothes and we noticed thw the lint trap was completely full from the tenants before, the draw in our fridge was broken, and the there was paint peeling in the master bathroom shower which was causing the tub to clog. On the otherhand, we love the balcony, pricing, how big the apartment is, management is very friendly, and you cant really hear uostaurs neighbors unless they are actually stomping. The complex is in a great area and only about a 12 drive into downtown.

Love living here. I love the size of my apartment, the convenience to nearby stores and eateries and getting to know my neighbors. Management is professional and maintenance gets stuff done in a timely manner. I have recommended this complex to some of my coworkers. It’s a very nice community.

My husband and I have enjoyed living here the past 14 months. The only reason we are moving out is because we bought our first house. We love the amenities they offer such as the pool, the events they host, and how you can earn points that translate to money by answering their phone line questions and polls.

We love living with Greystar. My family and I have lived here since 2017, and I truly have seen seen a change in the front office since they took over. Anna-Scott was very helpful in making the process go smooth. She has been there for us ever since, along with everyone else who does a great job in being extremely friendly and helpful at any time. This is by far the best tour I have ever had! From my initial conversation with Joselin and my physical tour with Anna. They answered every question I had and more! Truly an amazing staff!

I have moved here in May of 2021. This place has gone downhill ever since the new management company took over. You should do a surprise walk through without notifying the women in the office and check all the facilities around the area. All the Mold that is in the breeze. Waves and railings all the Mold on the Tennis court. All the Mold on the kids play sets. It has got disgusting.

Overall this place is a beautiful and quiet place to live. Dogs friendly and the park is a perfect size for dogs to roam/play in. The nature trail is the best part of this community!

Avana Thornblade is a beautiful place to live. I especially love the balcony and the nature trail. My apartment is private and quiet. And though the location is close in distance to everything; best restaurants, mall, and supermarkets, it still feels a little country like being so wooded, which I love. The office staff is very friendly especially Memory who has always been friendly, prompt and helpful when I’ve needed anything. Maintenance has also been efficient when I’ve had an issue. If you are looking for a peaceful, beautiful apartment complex you will love Avana Thornblade.

Truly the most unique apartments in the Greenville area! We’ve lived at other apartments and toured dozens of others, this is the one that feels like home. The nature here is beautiful, feels like living in a forest. Sometimes I forget we are just minutes from a big city! Can’t recommend this place enough.

Gated has barely worked since living here, walking path in poor condition, apartment building in poor condition, dumpsters in our parking lot, takes FOREVER to get a maintenance request, poor communication with maintenance and management

The only thing I like is that it has a washer dryer inside rhe unit and the layout and size of the unit is great. Besides that that's all. Uneven balcony and nails sticking out. Spiders and wasps everywhere Bathrooms always leak Dishwasher on 2x4'S

I am very happy at Avana Thornblade and highly recommend the community! From the welcoming and helpful leasing staff to move-in checklist reminders, it was easy to settle in. The apartment community is beautiful (all the trees, the landscape, the walking trail) and in an ideal location in Greer. The building layouts are great, feeling more like separate homes than rows of apartments. The size of the patio space, the wood burning fireplace, and the location of our specific apartment are some of the main reasons we chose Avana Thornblade. We had literally looked at every available apartment complex in the area. We had no doubts this was the place we wanted to be.
