Avana West Hills is beautiful from the outside and alright on the inside, Management is a little hard to get a hold of and when emails are sent out,?it’s being sent from a totally different property which they also own and does not pertain to anything that’s happening in our complex. Maintenance is horrible and the parking lot is flooded with garbage and debris, especially on the weekends.

Avana West Hill, in my opinion, is a very safe & quiet community. Close enough to shopping, restaurants and entertainment. Easy access to highway 5 and 167.

AVANA WEST is a nice place to live compared with other places I visited. The issue I had with my rent is solved now because I pay my full amount every month no balance so that I don't get fake bill anymore. I love AVANA WEST clean and alot of parking, our cars are safe and you can see the parking lot when in your house it's a beautiful design ??

The maintenance team in this apartment is the worst ever. I had a leaking water at the back of my toilet and a air fan in the bathroom that don’t work well. I called the office and they said they filed those problems as emergency. Yet nobody even showed up. They called and they not showed up without even saying anything. Like a month later I received notification that the problem is fixed? What kind of working attitude is this? I have never experienced this type of unprofessional working ethic like this any where else before

Lovely scenery. The master bedroom is amazing. The building unit system is the best I've seen. That along with the layout of the apartment complex makes it very easy to navigate. The staff is very friendly and professional.

Worst Management We've Ever Had
My partner and I have lived here for 2 years and it's been nothing short of frustrating when it comes to management. The previous management that we had was actually really great. Super responsive, very nice people, and cared about the community. Then, once Greystar took over, things went downhill really quickly. They decided to do some construction on the property and felt like it was a good idea to allow shipping containers to cover 8 of the free parking spaces near our building for months, making parking a nightmare. I complained about this but no response. They painted only one of our buildings an awful color and have not changed it since. We are supposed to be a gated community but the gate is always open now, even through the night. The worst of it all is how incredibly unresponsive they are. I've lost track of how many emails I've sent them over the last year and have recieved, at most, a response to one email. Ironically, it was the email where I told them we are breaking our lease and moving out. We're just so disappointed in their lack of attention to the residents needs, which is the biggest reason why we are moving to a better complex right down the street. We were told one of the leasing agents works at all Avana properties, but that's not a valid excuse for never being able to respond to your residents. I probably wouldn't recommend this property to anyone, unfortunately.

Management doesn’t care is right
Management is not responsive at all. No returned emails for me regarding a 6 month old issue. They have heard from me numerous times and only returned silence. I am sad and frustrated. I completely agree with the other review regarding Greystar. The company took my deposit for an apartment that was not available. They proceeded to blame the computer system, call center, apartment needed for something else and not available for 90 days. I have left so many phone and email messages without a response. Staff and especially management is very unprofessional and not apologetic to my concerns. I just want my money back. How disappointing. What a stressful and expensive cross country move and this added to a challenging time for me.

Management doesn't care
My car got broken into three times in 6 months, twice in one week. Front office person sounded bored the first time I reported, second time said they didn't have any plans on adding cameras to the buildings/ parking lot. So if you move in, just know there isnt ANY kind of security if someone breaks in. They don't enforce the parking rules, so a bunch of people park for free leaving no spaces for the suckers who actually paid for their car to park. Constantly have yelling throughout the night, drug-addled ramblings and threats of violence. Wouldnt be nearly so bad if there was a promise of having something on video if violence actually occurred. They don't answer noise complaints, dont enforce quiet hours, and definitely don't enforce safety whatsoever. It's extremely expensive for how little you get.

I agree with the reviewer who posted not too long ago as soon as my lease is up I am out of here. The old crew and management was awesome they still set rules and knew what they had to do but also let the renter's have a quality of life and likes it's your home. NOW the new management and staff are annoying don't listen and rather yell at you for anything and everything then let you live and know you can't just enforce what didn't use to be in a snap of a finger. It is not our fault you guys didn't have it together before. As SOON as our lease is up we will be outta here and we moved in wanted to be long term renters but not with the new crew.

Eager to leave
I've been here a year and a half, came in shortly before the transition of management. Before it was great, they were really supportive and listened and were really nice and welcoming. One they were purchased the new management tried to implement all these new rules and regulations, you could see the stress was effecting the staffs quality of care. The new management is here and it feels a lot more impersonal every time I go into the office. They're so disorganized. I'm not really a fan of one of the girls that's new. She seems very by the book and doesn't really to care if you're having any problems or need help now. The maintenance crew is very good though, very smart guys, totally willing to help if you run into them anywhere on the complex. I'm just waiting out my last 6 months and then I'm out of here. It used to be affordable but I can no longer justify the price of living here.

Soon to be a" Previous tenant" and so thankful to move!
The management is less than desirable. The grounds are un-kept, and the amount of illegal drug activities (which have drawn the police to be here on numerous occasions) is out of control. What once was a fun-loving community has turned in to a horrible nigh-mare to live. If you have other options besides this property..run to them. I am not certain if it is the management company or the manager that has taken over with-in the last year but from 5 years ago it went from wonderful to absolutely dreadful and worse over the last 2 months (if possible). Good luck living a happy, clean, and healthy lifestyle here...The drugs have taken over the community not to mention the staff in the office (oh what can I say about them) they are rude, disorganized, and quite frankly the right doesn't know what the left is doing. If your desire is to live where the grass on the grounds are never green (they don't water) , have an astronominal water bill, pay for covered parking, AND UN COVERED PARKING AS WELL (Yes here if you are single and have two cars you have to pay 25.00 to park the "extra car" ) one car per adult I'd free any after that is 25.00 and nope it is not covered. Greed and uglyes has found it's home and it is here at lake Fenwick estates.

The secretary at Lake Fenwick estate is very unfriendly and very rude to people who come into look at and ask about apartments for. You come into pick up a package she doesn't even knowledge that you are out there and then when you stick your head in the door. She said what do you want. The manager is even worst. He doesn't greet you with a hand shake or said can I help you. He doesn't care about his employees at all. He wouldn't gave them time off to do community service or help them take these test so they can get a bonus this year which they won't get. And they worked really hard to get those bonus so they can have a nice Xmas for there families. If a tentants of the apartment building he treats like dirt and very rude to them. He won't even throw a Xmas party for the kids in the apartment complex with Santa Claus so that they can have gifts and treats plus have there picture taken with Santa Claus. And some of these kids that is the only gift they get because there family can't afford to go out and buy gifts. And the company that brought Lake Fenwick Estate Virtue property and management from California are very high on having functions for the families of there apartment complexs they own.

With onsite gym pool and courts what a great place to live. Away from the hustle and bustle of city life. A woodsy feel no traffic sounds or constant sirens. Quiet neighbors and peaceful community. Onsite parking cable and phone available.
