Property Ratings at Avant
Finally the management decide to open the swimming pool and open the rooftop.that is very excitement, but most of the time people will go to pool with pants or even jeans. Being in Jacuzzi with under wear?!!!!?? Gym?!?There is no weight at all. Rooftop or night club?!?That doesn’t make sense . wired people even in midnight smoking and jumping on top of your head .Party, loud music and jumping on a floor doesn’t cool when they have plenty of units under roof. You will get crazy, don’t move here
1-Don’t move to building B seven floor. The rooftop area is above you.24/7 people up there.Party with crazy loud music.people jumping and running.moving furniture. There no management to fix the problem. 2. Dirty and smelly rooftop, all the time people smoke up there and pets poop around the BBQ area. 3.The security here is a joke.even the building is not gated. The parking door is open 24/7 for everyone. 4.most of the time people are in swimming pool with underwear and sleeping pants. 5.No burbel no weight in gym. 6. I Had a terrible 12 months here in building B under ro.U will see what I mean in second week, when u sign the contract. DO NOT MOVE HERE
Follow the information below and make your own decision, 1-TWO times shooting in building and person killed last year and also you can see the shooting print in front of the main door building B 2-24/7 PARTY AND LOUD MUSIC from top to bottom. Very loud music and sometime the security can not do anything about it. 3-DO NOT ORDER ONLINE ,90% someone else takes yours or lost in building. 4-BROKEN TRASH ,smelly and dirty around Chutes and elevator. 5-SMELLY ROOF AND ACYUPPIED ALL NIGHT WITH SMOKER AND WIRED people. 6- Pets all time in roof and pee everywhere.(next to BBQ area in summer time hardly you can breath. 6-SMOKE FREE COMUNITY ..LOL...LOL even you don't like to open your door for a sec. 7-Seven eleven next to building B ,Nissan dealer next to building C building, Metro station behind the building A have fun with sound and scary people around the seven-eleven day-night. (0) STAR for the building that you don't feel safe, healthy and most of the time you can not sleep and chill. LACK OF CURITY AND TERRIBLE MANAGEMNT GOOD LUCK
Can't wait to move out from this place. If you want to live in quiet environment, do not move here. I've been dealing with the noises from upstairs ever since I moved in here. The management team tried to resolve the issue but if your upstairs neighbor doesn't listen, then you are screwed. The management can't help you any further unless you break out of the lease which costs thousands of dollars(almost 3 months worth of rent). I've lost 10 lbs since I moved in here because of the stress and lack of sleep(can't sleep until my upstairs neighbor goes to bed). Counting my days to move out from this hell. Staffs are super friendly though(literally every one of them).
From having my car broken into and belongings stolen out of my car in less than 2 months of living at this property, to someone else's Mercedes Benz same make year and model that same night my car got broken into along with others. Someone took all 4 of his tires off of his car and mounted his car onto cinder blocks to hold it up since they stole the tires! To 18 year olds drinking on the roof, throwing up on one another as well as underage girls being carried off buy other guys that are drunk as well on the rooftop. Once the lady who buys the alcohol for the minors comes up to the roof with the head of security that she was dating. He then tries to walk up on me in a aggressive manger and try and fight me. I notify management first thing the next morning, and they then removed him from working at the property. To me trying to transfer units. AND GUESS WHAT!? I have now less than 48 hours until I am supposed to move into my new unit and I was notified yesterday by a leasing agent at this location that I can't move Friday like I was told I could because the tenants haven't moved out of this apartment yet. Mind you, they were supposed to be gone over a month ago! They have changed their date twice now, to when they would be out. I have ordered $1,000 for furniture in which can't be cancled and is scheduled to be delivered Friday, have called off of work, my friend has called off of work as well to help me move, I have switched over my mailing address through UPS, cable and literally packed up majority of my apartment for this move that I am supposed to be doing Friday. My bed is even broken down completely, and I have been sleeping on my mattresss on the floor for this move that I was told by corporate and management I could move Friday. PLEASE NOTE! This is a summary of all that I have experienced! I tried to copy and paste the 11 paragraph complaint that I have emailed to corporate in this section but it exceeded the character limit by 10,000! DO NOT MOVE HERE IF YOU DON'T WANT THESE SAME TYPE OF PROBLEMS!
Don't get me wrong, the building is a nice place, however the living experience was hard. We came from overseas (China) looking for a place and chose Avant. We finished our lease and will not go back. The location is next to the 2 FREEWAYS 10 and 110 (crossing), there is a metro line right behind (the tracks, not the metro stop!), so much noise all day & night. adjacent, there is a Honda dealership and service cars garages! If you want to park, good luck squeezing through the huge trucks that are right next to the garage entrance! Some staff always had a very rude attitude towards us. Also the cost, pricey and not worth that much. You have to pay unnecessary things, such as it is mandatory to pay for Cable & Internet with bad quality company $70 a month added, even if you don't want cable and or wifi you must pay. Parking is $150, and you have to pay for everything, electricity, gas, water, etc. even trash. My husband and I moved further in downtown, where the location is much better and the prices are fairly the same but a much better community and building.
The Avant is a great place to live in downtown LA. It is in South Park, right across from the LA Convention Center. It is a quick walk to LA Live. Although the main entrance is on Figueroa, there is an entrance on Flower St as well, so if on foot, there are multiple entry points. The Metro Pico Station on Flower St is literally a couple of minutes away, which is also really convenient. The complex even provides bicycle access. Being pet friendly, (max 2 pets per unit), there's a welcoming water bowl at the building entrance. There is even a pet grooming room! The roof has amazing downtown skyline view, with bbq grills, tables, a large flat screen with a fireplace, and lounge area. The Pool area has nice cabanas and is well furnished. However, since it is on the second floor and surrounded by units, the pool hours on the week days are until 10 pm, which is a little restrictive. I came from another building in downtown and the pool and the gym were accessible 24 hours. Considering this building is pretty much brand new and the windows and the patio doors are well insulated, I personally would prefer if the hours were not so restrictive. The gym and the roof close at midnight, which again I think should close much later or not at all. There is also additional lounge/rec room with large flat screen tv. In one of the buildings, there is a massage room in case you want to book a massage. In the lobby level, there are PC and Mac stations with a printer, as well as a conference room. It really is great, but the only problem is, it is an ink jet printer, and the cartridge runs out of ink very quickly and often. I did overhear that they are planning to switch it to laser printer though. Staff is very nice, including the 24 hour front desk attendants. They are just that, however, and I came from a building where the front desk attendant was a concierge, and was a lot more knowledgeable about the local information, events, etc. Not even the general office staff during the day (from Essex) know a lot about the local events. With the kind of caliber of the type of dwelling place this place is trying to represent, I think they should study up downtown LA. Overall, it is a new and beautiful building, and I am enjoying my stay here.
