I am a current resident. The apartment was not cleaned or painted before I moved in. I have had multiple issues with pest problems. The staff is non responsive. It is a waste of money. I'll probably have to burn my furniture when I move.

I have lived at the 200 East Apartments since January. Living in this community has been a very positive experience. I want to say a big thank to Caitlyn, Site Manager. She has made my application and move-in really smooth, answered all my community questions, and promptly solved problems I had. The first day I moved in from the West Coast, was New Year Day afternoon. The office was closed for new year holiday. Caitlyn drove to the apartment and gave me the really kind courtesy of letting me settle down to new home. The front office staff are very friendly, considerate, and professional. When I call or stop by the office I am always greeted by my name and very helpful with any of my needs. The maintenance staff have done fantastic jobs as well. My maintenance needs are completed within the same day. The property is always kept clean.

When I moved into 200 East the apartment had a thick layer of dirt and dust on the floors and countertops. I was told they clean the apartments before a tenant moves in but that seems to not be true. There are also windows on my unit that have broken seals so they are all fogged up and let the outside air in. The A/C also does not work and there’s a leak in my floor. All of this has been wrong with the apartment prior to my move in 1 month ago, which tells me no one did a walk through to ensure it would be ready for move in. When I spoke to the property manager he told me he would put in a work order for my A/C. He had no explanation of all the missed pre checks, didn’t offer any apologies or any type of compensation for the trouble. This apartment complex is not where you want to stay, you can pay just as much somewhere else and get quality living space and professional staff.
Great comfortable environment. This complex definitely feels like your on a resort. It is peaceful living. Its everything anyone could be looking for in comfortable and affordable living.

This place is not safe, and the team allows strangers to come into your apartment almost every week with little or no notice. When they do provide notice that they will be entering your apartment, they do it by putting a note on your door, which advertises to anyone that you are not home. Then they walk in with no notice - so for example my girlfriend stepped out of the shower to find three men walking into the apartment. The office people are nice enough, but not effective because the owners are more focused on making money than running a decent place. Also, the units might look fresh and are newly painted, but in fact they are old and have all sorts of maintenance issues.

This place is great! I love my apartment, the dog park and how close it is to Ulmstead Park. The office staff is always friendly and professional. I really feel like they care. They even hosted a wine event for us. The only downside is people not picking up after their dogs which just makes it a little less than perfect.
I've never loved anywhere I lived this much. I've been in the building for nearly a year now and this is the first time I've ever renewed a lease.The new staff are amazing. I love everyone that works here. Michaela and Meryl are terrific! Everyone on the maintenance staff is friendly and very quick to help! The amenities are amazing. But what makes the community really special are the people, employees and neighbors I certainly recommend everyone come check out 200 East Apartments for themselves and I'd be happy to call you my neighbor!

my apartment has so many issues that haven't been fixed after multiple request and the office staff has done nothing to help.They charge unfair fees and their customer service goes down after you sign the lease.

New management took over a few months ago and they do not care about their tenant's safety. They have had multiple contractors that they have given keys to apartments without supervision. They enter your apartment without management's knowledge and without giving tenants prior notification. More than one contractor has done damage to our unit while doing their work. Our gray marble countertops that were just installed have green spots on them which I had to report so that management couldn't try to charge me when we move out. We are being forced to switch over to Spectrum service which will cost us more than our previous TV services. Maintenance and contractors will enter your apartment before you have a chance to open the door for them. We have had to install cameras because we no longer feel safe in our apartment. I worry everyday leaving my pets at home while I'm at work because I don't know who will be entering my apartment while I'm not there. Do not be fooled by their affordable rent prices because they will tack on a few hundred dollars of additional fees. You have to rent a washer and dryer from them. You cannot bring in or buy your own. You have to pay for the door side trash pick up. You can not opt out of it. There have been numerous "upgrades" that have been done while we are here that have been nothing but an inconvenience, destructive to other parts of the apartment and a way for them to increase our rent even more. We are saving for a house and can't wait to get away from this place.

200East seems to have a theme of not respecting residents and charging unfair fees. They purchased Edinborough at the Park, the reason for the high rating. 1) The way they handled remodeling in all apartments was abysmal. It was declared MANDATORY remodeling including Saturdays. First it is bizarre to remodel the inside of apartments for existing residents. The respectful thing is to remodel AFTER the resident has left. There is no need to bombard inside their homes to "improve" them when the residents are perfectly happy right now. On top of this, they told us they will charge RESIDENTS a fee if we don't clean off the area before they remodeled. Even though they ONLY informed us 3 days before they will enter! It's incredibly rude to charge residents a fee for not cleaning when you are already inconveniencing them, they may be on vacation and have missed your notice. They also "warned" us that if any of our things were damaged when they remodeled, it would not be their fault and they will not cover any expenses. Seems incredibly one-sided and rude. If they won't cover our expenses that are their fault for the people they hired being careless and destroying our stuff , then why should we cover their expenses of having the remodeling take longer b/c we didn't "tidy up"? When it is their fault anyway for deciding to remodel and hiring a crappy company that charges for extra days? 2) Penny pinching is a theme with these apartments. During the transition, they cancelled all of our auto-payments. This was expected to deal with the annoying setup process again. What was not expected however is that they charged all of us setup fees to setup our payments AGAIN. It isn't right to charge residents for things outside of our control. This place should 1) refund existing Edinborough residents for the auto-payment setup fees. and 2) Cancel remodeling of apartments where residents are currently residing. 3) Send us an apology letter apologizing for how rude they have been and how inconvenienced we have been due to this. 200 East is still fairly new, so I can only guess there will be more transgressions and poor treatment to come. Expect this high rating you got because you were lucky enough to inherit Edinborough's reviews to quickly plummet unless you change your attitude about how you treat your residents.

The landscaping is beyond compare. It is a peaceful, and inviting setting. It is a realtively quiet and respectful community. The apartments are spacious and functional. The cabinetry is outdated, as is the appliances. They have begun replacing flooring and converting it to Plank. Word of warning: Easily scratched and management will overcharge to replace it. Very expensive! Management very friendly initially. It tones down after lease signing, but not to the point of being disrespectful. They do not answer their phones, as they should. The maintenance staff is outstanding.

Very nice community. Office staff are very welcoming and friendly. Maintenance staff is awesome. They tend to get to service requests the exact same way. The clubhouse and fitness center are amazing. Love the gym! The indoor pool is nice as well. We have a tennis court beside the clubhouse. Lately on Wednesdays they have been allowing food trucka to come a service us. They take cards so it makes dinner on thursdays easy and convenient! We are relatively close to many fast food places, SHEETZ, amd walmart. Its a very diverse COMMUNITY. Ive been here 3 years and would like to stay till i decide to buy a house. I believe in honesty. Only cons to my complex are the parking gets crazy around 10pm when most people are home. Sometimes have to park several spaces away from building. The other is some buildings have aparments downstairs on the backside... i was not able to get Dish Network due to lack of line of sight. Others in the front didnt have that issue. Thats really the only two but it is still a great place.

A quiet community backed up against a nature preserve with tall gorgeous trees that will change into radiant oranges and reds during the fall, take on the feel of a wonderland in winter, and return to lush green through the spring and summer. On top of a beautiful setting, the area is superb. It is right off of I-40, but you don't hear it through the afore mentioned woods. This location allows you to get to downtown Raleigh or Durham in about 20 minutes, into RTP or the airport in under 10, or even downtown Apex in around 30 minutes. The community itself is made up of two halves each of which have the above benefits. Both have a pool and laundry facilities along with newly built dog parks. There is a shared office between the two that includes an indoor lap pool, gym, business center and common area. The staff is helpful and always looking for ways to improve the community like occasionally getting food trucks to come by. There are several options of floor plans for the units at reasonable rates. The finishes in the apartments are old to put it bluntly, but this allows them to be priced more than competitively. That being said most (if not all-not 100% sure) of the units have washer and dryers included. The apartments are also equipped with ac, natural gas heat and cooking, and even gas fire places in some cases. In short, the area is in a peaceful wooded setting, nestled in an outstanding central location, with older finishes, but all of the other benefits more than make up for it. I would certainly recommend that anyone take a look at the community, or even call it home.

The location is perfect and all of the staff are very helpful. Maintenance is usually quick to fix problems and it would be the perfect place except for a few things. I have had multiple leaks from A/C but maintenance comes and is able to find the problem. There is a mandatory charge of $30 for valet trash, $35 for W/D rental, fees for trash and sewer, plus water. I have lived here for two years and I will have to move this year because my lease renewal was a $100 increase. My rent has increased $100 both years since I have moved and with this recent increase and plus the extra $100 I pay for trash fees and W/D rental each month, rent has just become ridiculous.
