Property Ratings at Avenue 965
You may not have hot water for months plus your sink can overflow with sewer and the pool on June 29, 2024 and has black and green algae which is very dangerous.
DO NOT MOVE IN HERE. No hot water for months. Also, it’s supposed to be 24 hour open pool. It is the opposite. It’s 24 hours closed and dirty. Constant random water shutdowns, also laundry issues. It is also a non smoking community due to the lack of ventilation in the units but people constantly smoke everywhere. No insulation at all so the units are ovens even with the AC full on. The pictures do not represent the reality.
Never think to move here, no hot water for months.
Roaches are an absolute problem here. They don’t do much to take care of them either. I’ve had my unit sprayed 4 times and they are still a problem. The water gets shut off multiple times a week. Maintenance is questionable. Sometimes things are marked as done when they haven’t been touched at all. Tiles are done so cheaply they peel up for anything. Ventilation is terrible. No windows. Just a wall unit for AC and that isn’t the best in the summer time. I really feel like they have taken advantage of people just surviving on a lower income. If you don’t have anywhere else to go then this will work for you. If you can afford 200 or more dollars just get another place somewhere else.
There is a roach infestation on the 935 side in the picnic area. STAY AWAY!!!
Water shut off at random for hours with no warning, no ventilation so humidity build up is insane, chunks of the ceiling have literally fallen off, drainage in the bathroom sink sucks, the paint in the tub is so cheap it peels just from turning on the water so it’s incredibly slippery, the floor is lifting so much I’ve tripped multiple times and the faucets in the bath are so loose you have to be careful not to move them. Also upon moving in they didn’t bother covering the holes in the walls and ceiling. And bring a lamp cause lighting is super dim..
Pros: amazing perfect amount of space for 1 adult student, near campus, quiet and neighbors keep to themselves. The interiors are well thought out and have been cherished for decades. Cozy and comfortable. Cons: no gated entry, airplanes fly over you ever 30 mins, there are trash diggers, sometimes the building has an odor. Im understanding of the consequences of every apartment and nothing is ever perfect. I chose to reside here because of the value and overall it’s a dope place to kickback for anyone 18-35
Apartments.com took down my previous review because I guess all the negative things I was saying sounded like I was making stuff up or purposely trying to make this place look bad. Everything I said was true and I don't need to exaggerate-it looks bad without my help. Instead of going into detail and having this review removed again let me just say: GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING!! Even if you are friendly with management or think they will make records, they won't. I ended up having to pay a huge amount when I moved out because of previous management's terrible record keeping. Additionally the apartments are old and things like hot water were out for month at a time. Sketchy things always happened in the units around me and felt like police were there every other day for minor disputes or drug related things. I had a really horrible experience and still leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
