Avenue Apartments

This complex DOES NOT have a business center. Laundry facilities barely work on a consistent basis. Staff has no backbone and community wide vandalism continues. Water and Sewage is also NOT a flat $20 fee. I’m not sure who wrote this listing but it’s very close to being completely dishonest.

Went in for a tour and was assisted by the property manager, Ashley. She was very informative and professional. Though I am familiar with the property, previous tenant, her polite attitude offered an overall better experience. She walked me through the application process and overall was great to work with! I would recommend anyone to come check out the property and work with Ashley or her team!

There is currently a mice plague. Not enough is being done to stay on top of it. Just when you think you had finally gotten it handled in your apartment, a neighbor will move out and they will fumigate and plug mouse holes for the new tenant and suddenly you are overrun again!

Great location close to everything you need mall, grocery store and pharmacy within 1 to 2 mile radius

So now we have some new staff members, you would've thought that they would improve some of these issues 1 broken gate 2 off professionalism 3 broken laundry door 4 TENAT RESPECT 5 dog control(it really shouldn't be any) 6 maintenance RESPECT, Maintenance job skills 7 communication with tenants 8 parking(it should be assigned parking, way to many cars) And now ALL RENT RECEIPTS MUST BE EMAILED. So DON'T MOVE HERE ID YOU'RE LOOKING to be VALUED. NOT GOING TO HAPPEN!!!!

Here's what's wrong with Ave Apts. Before I signed my lease, I wasn't told that I would be in a 18 month lease (I was rushing and needed to find a place asap) and my security deposit wasn't even on my lease (had to get the property manager to fix it.) The day before I was suppose to move in, they call me and tell me that I don't make enough for a two bedroom, so I asked them did they have a one bedroom ready, took them a min to tell me yes. They put in new mailboxes all the way at the front of the complex, I live in the back and don't drive. The washers in the landry room stay leaking and broke (water always on the floor, it smells and black nets everywhere.) Ants all in the kitchen in the summer along with potato bugs and flies. The only thing I liked about this place is that before COVID-19, maintenance always showed up on time to complete their work orders. But I can't wait til me lease is up.

I have been a resident 3 years and once Quest management took over things went downhill. Poor customer service from the rental office and Quest management. I will not renew again!! If I could have picked zero stars I would!

This office is built on lies and constant miscommunication. From the time I was supposed to move in and then telling me my unit isn’t available forcing me to spend more money on a larger unit. To all of the 8 mice I caught on traps I’ve bought bc theirs doesn’t work. To all the roaches I see during the warm weather outside. To the end of my lease term and then accessing extra fees due to miscommunication. I will NEVER return here!!!! EVER!!!

Please don’t move here. I just put my 30 Days in. The apartments are roach and mice infested. I woke up this morning to a mouse in my bread messed me all up. Every month I came home to a letter on the door saying that I owe money. Luckily I had my receipts. Time went on and I received another letter this time I called corporate they fixed the situation without a problem it took 2 months for the rental office to do anything about it. My car was towed while I slept the towing company phone was going straight to vm goes around the rental office to the most unprofessional staff that I have ever met in my 30 years. They say what they want and will always try to call the law so that they can try to cover themselves. I called corporate today and advised them. I hope to hear from them soon. The kids have no respect for the law, security and this property. Trash in the parking lots hallways where ever I know that you are paying for the area you live in but wow this is the worst. I would never recommend a dog to live here I had better days with the old rental office. Not happy at all about this place

The Avenue has the worst Maintenance and Customer Service. The turnover rate is high for residents and management. They take their time fixing things and act as if you are bothering them to get it fix. Drug traffic area and my car was broken into within 2 months. False advertisement with the admenities. I've contacted corporate and still no resolve.

I've been a current resident of the Avenue Apartments for approximately 3 years. Since my stay here as a tenant I've noticed drastic improvement to the neighborhood. From the redesigning of the management office, the construction of the pool, to the safety and security of our community. The professionalism of the office staff is very warm and welcoming and the integrity of our management team adhere to building relationships to it's client and tenant's. I appreciate all they do to accommodate the needs and concerns of the resident here at the Avenue. Again, I say thank you.

I really do love the apartment but there are a few things to change. The appliances are definitely dated and not energy efficient but still functional. I've been here since it was Penn Landing and I can definitely tell you the new mgmt is hard to reach. I loved being able to email mgmt, call or put in requests easily online. I haven't had such ease with new mgmt. I did see a few insects when I moved in but that was taken care of quickly. I also like that the complex is kept fairly clean considering all the litterbugs I've seen. Overall you get what you pay for and this is a bargain. Resident since Feb 2016

The new management (quest management) is no better that the last management company. You make complaints and write letters and they still do nothing. When you try to check up on a complaint, nobody remembers anything nor do they keep up with it. Employee turn around is terrible just like old management. You put in request for maintenance( toilet overflowing) and they come almost a week later. I CANNOT WAIT TO MOVE

Penn Landing is an ideal location to live at. Close to two metro stations, two malls and several grocery stores. The property is well kept with 24 hour security on premises. The staff members along with maintenance staff are very friendly.

This community has a bad reputation from the past. Now, under new management it has made the community more peaceful and a good place to call home. There is 24 hour armed security in the premises along with pleasant staff in the office. It is close to metro and the beltway.

Unfortunately this apartment complex is in a drug infested area with high crime. This complex does have security and gated access after 10pm. I haven't had any problems with insects or rodents. Maintenance isn't that great. I have to call several times and wait months for someone to come. The walls are very thin so you will hear your neighbors above you, below you and beside you. The rental office staff is friendly and I love the convenience of the online portal to make rental payments and request maintenance.

The Apartment Complex Is Nice Like A Mile Aways From The Mall And Shopping Centers In The Area Metro Is Around The Corner The Metro Bus Comes To The Complex To Help Those In Need Of Transportation Penn Landing Maintenance Isn't All Good It Takes Forever And A lot Of Calling To Get Something Fixed Most Of the Apartments Have Roaches Other Than That It's A Pretty Good Place They Have 24hr Security And Access Key Only To Enter Gates After 9pm-7am The Apartments Are Really Spacious And Have A Nice Balcony Or Deck Depending On The Floor You Can Choose An Refurbished Apartment Or Non Refurbished One Which Only Things That Are Changed Is The Cabinets, Stove, And countertops The Utilities Aren't Bad You Only Pay Gas And Elcetric But You Pay The Gas Bill With your Rent It Comes From A Different Company Overall It's An Decent Place To Live I'll Give it 3 Stars

Our little one bedroom is quite an anomaly. It boasts a large closet and equally large kitchen. The dining room area is even more spacious, which allows for it to double as an office. Our apartment is awesome.

Convenient and affordable location. Not bad to start off

I moved here in July 2011 and this is a great place to live and I suggested this place to a few people and because of my suggestion 2 people have moved here. I love it here they have all kind of activities for the families, It is quiet and since I have been here there has not been any crime in this complex that I have heard of. This is my first apartment and I will be here for a very long time. It is just a great place to live.

I moved in about a year ago and I'm renewing my lease. Penn Landing is close to 495 and it's easy to get into DC. The price is just right and there's plenty of kids that my son has made friends with.

I have been a resident at Penn Landing for 3 months now and still have not received my mailbox key. I have made 5 calls for repairs on my refridgeator and to date it is still not fixed. Today it is completely off, my food smells and no one seems to care. They constantly push it off from one to another. This is a very unprofessional community and they definitely need more people skills. Robin the property manager is never there when I call. I will definitely seek legal guidance on my rights as a tenant.

Not a bad place to live. A lot of people have been living here for sometime now. If you know the area and the people in the are your good. There are a lot of kids tho.
