Avery Glen is the Best Bang for your Buck!

I searched for apartments in Decatur for weeks before I found Avery Glen, located within a five minute walk from downtown Decatur, GA. I have been happy here for almost two full years now and would absolutely choose this apartment again. The staff are friendly and helpful and will work on any requests immediately. Maintenance is always done within 24 hours, mostly done on same day if you request early enough. The apartments are fairly spacious for the area and are in great condition. Appliances aren't brand new, but they are all clean and functional and I haven't had any problems beyond the occasional garbage disposal acting up. The people here are friendly and mostly keep to themselves, mostly small families, college students, or young professionals. This is a very pet friendly apartment. The only things that I can say against it are that the gate leading in and out is located on a very busy straight year-round and that on really cold winter days the heat just isn't as good as gas heating. But a small electric heater easily fixes this problem. The draw backs are very minor compared to the good things about this place. All in all, I really like it here and would highly recommend this place to anyone who is nervous about a place in Decatur, this place is pretty much a sure thing for the vast majority of people.

Best Apartment for the Value in Decatur

My personal experience with Avery Glen since the the fall of 2013 has been very pleasant and mostly stress free. Summary: Avery Glen is a relatively small group of apartments right next door to Agnus Scott and less than a 5 minute walk from downtown Decatur. The people that live here are mostly single professionals, small families or college students. Neighbors are friendly and mostly keep to themselves. Pet owners are responsible. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the apartments themselves are kept in good condition. Pros: The maintenance staff have always fixed any problems I've had within 12-24 hours. The appliances are in good condition so I've only had to call maintenance a small handful of times. Avery Glen is gated and patrolled by Agnus Scott police regularly, sometimes they even stick around for a few hours. The one bedroom apartments are in good condition with plenty of space and decent patios with a storage closet. The staff are friendly, helpful and responsive. Apartments come with a built in alarm and walk in closets. Cons: The heating system works fine, but lately with the colder winters they have to run a lot in the cold to stay warm. A small electric heater eliminates this problem and it is only minor. Some of the lamp posts are the same height as second floor windows so blackout curtains may be required. Carpet floors are mostly fine, just not a personal preference for me. Overall: For the location, price, quality and general coziness I would say that Avery Glen is pretty tough to beat in Decatur, GA. No place is perfect, but if I could choose again, I would come back.
