Avery Philly

Honestly, after having lived here for the past 6 months, I don't think you could beat the price for the amazing amenities you get. The remodeled gym, free laundry, beautiful study rooms, and wifi/housekeeping are awesome. The only 'downside' i'd say are the kitchenettes, you can't really cook a lot. However, the communal kitchen on the 1st floor comes in handy! You get more than what you pay for in my opinion, but overall it's been a good place for a student on a budget. The location is also amazing! So close to Temple campus, Cecil B. Station, the IBC Rec Center, and a grocery store.

Kitchens are smaller however everything is perfect and the best thing is its near to department and bus stop and subway. I would also suggest that in this rent, the rooms should be larger.

This place is great! The residents are nice, the staff is friendly and accommodating and I love gushing over the dogs in the building. This place has so much to offer!

I love living here minus the security guards hitting on me, the roaches coming in from my neighbors apartment, and people trying to see me weed as i leave the front door.

The location is fantastic, just minutes away from essential services and close to public transportation, making it easy to get around. The management team is professional, responsive, and always willing to help, promptly addressing any maintenance requests or concerns. While the location can feel a bit bustling at times, the overall experience has been positive, with the combination of excellent personnel and thoughtful features making it a great place to live.

I’ve had a great experience living here! The office staff are friendly and approachable, and the floor areas are always clean and well-maintained. Maintenance requests are handled quickly and efficiently. Overall, everything about this place is excellent. Highly recommend!

No communication with residents about updates or changes to the building. Changed the gate locks without informing anyone. Back door has been closed off forever with no update about when it’s open or why it’s closed.

I am pleased to be a new resident at Avery. I was well assisted during the whole application process. I recommend this place to anyone living in Philadelphia.

I enjoy the building's amenities, specifically the gym and the yoga studio. They are clean and have everything I need. I also enjoy the study spaces.

The staff were unhelpful and dismissive whenever I raised concerns. Their lack of professionalism made it difficult to address issues. The roach infestation was a significant issue. Despite multiple reports, management failed to provide effective pest control, affecting my comfort and peace of mind. I would not recommend.

I have loved living here the staff is always kind and helpful and the amenities are great. Utilities are all included, even laundry, and I haven't had any problems with the functionality of anything. Only complaint is there's a connecting door between me and my neighbors room; it doesn't open, however, everything can be heard through it which can get annoying at times, but overall great place definitely recommend!

Very professional staff, rent prices are actually affordable. Gym is cleaned every day, a lot of food places near by and also connected to the building itself.

They’ve created a welcoming and friendly atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The security measures also give me peace of mind. Overall, Avery offers a great combination of comfort, convenience, and service. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place to call home.

Friendly staff and maintenance team is quick. Overall, the activities are many for you to interact/engage with other students. It is accessible to many stores near by.

As a Temple grad student, this community is a no-brainer in terms of value. The move-in process was quick and application was easy. This is a resident-first community (no profit-driven vibes here). Location is great: it is a stone's throw away from campus, grocery, and public transit a fifteen minute walk from the air train. Amenities are great: new gym, new community kitchen, study & game rooms. Staff is very friendly and seemingly goes out of there way to address your concerns. The fact that all units are furnished at such a low price make this an attractive option for out-of-state residents like myself. Despite the small space, there are lots of "third-place" options nearby and on-site to make the place feel much larger than it is.

I enjoy it a lot! I like how close we are to the grocery store and campus, and the study rooms are great. Sometimes bugs can sneak in through the windows but otherwise it’s okay. I enjoy the event that the office holds as well! ( also I love how dog friendly it is )

Has been good other than my room change on move in without prior notice. Staff is very nice and get back to you quickly. Love the community events

During my residency, I've had a generally positive experience, particularly regarding maintenance responsiveness. Whenever I've reported an issue, the maintenance team has been impressively quick to respond. Most requests are addressed within a day or two, which is a relief, especially when dealing with urgent matters. Their efficiency has made living here much more comfortable. However, there's one persistent concern: the smell in the study rooms. While the facilities are otherwise well-maintained, I've noticed an unpleasant odor that lingers in these spaces. It can be distracting, especially during long study sessions. Overall, the experience here is fantastating and supportive. I love living here.

The space is perfect for just me and my cat, however the walls are extremely thin and you can hear absolutely everything. I have had to make numerous noise complaints and they are never taken seriously.

Everyone here is so nice and friendly. The very few minor maintenance issues were handled almost immediately. I may be the oldest one in the building at 60 but nobody makes me feel that way. Great environment and newly renovated units!

I have genuinely never had more fun anywhere and staff is always so friendly and so so helpful all the time which definitely has come in handy many times.

The apartment is very nice I really love living here, however the walls are very thin and other residents do not seem to respect this. I’ve had to make a few noise complaints which seem to have not been taken seriously.

They never email or communicate about anything until it’s too late. They never respond to emails. No one ever seems to have the same or right answer when you ask a question. Again they really just suck with communication. Was told that we would get comped laundry starting when you move in and still have not received it halfway through September. No emails about it or when we will get it.

Love the study rooms new look and the addition of furniture to the common areas. Also, love the addtition of trash can among the floor! Looks clean and well kept.

The renovations have been great. The building looks nice and clean. At the moment the environment is calm and quiet, I hope it stays that way.

I loved Avery Philly’s numerous amenities but would love to have had more sunlight in the apartments. I am in a 2BE/BA but there is very little sunlight. However, I LOVE the leasing agents (especially Hanna) and all the other maintenance agents who have helped us SO much as international students.

As of right now I will give it a 4 just because there has been a few hiccups since my move in date. Overall it’s been smooth! I see a lot of potential in the Avery being a nice apartment building just gotta tighten up some things.

There's a well-equipped fitness center and even a community lounge where residents can relax and socialize. The management team was always responsive and helpful, addressing any concerns promptly. The living conditions here were poor, and the staff made things worse. The property was often dirty, and the noise between units was constant and disruptive. The staff had been rude and dismissive when I needed help.

The move in process was great! No issues with gaining carts to help move boxes, and it was not chaotic dealing with other tenants nor the staff. My experience was definitely not stressful in the slightest.

Amazing I love how homey it is here! The community activities are fun and allow you to meet so many people. The office staff is very kind, caring, and helpful.

A great place to live for the rent and great staff! Only thing is that the walls are thin and I can hear my neighbours. Experienced water issues since I started staying, but the staff is quick to ensure any problems are taken care of ASAP.

It is so well furnished and a beautiful set up. everything is so clean and i love how spacious it is! I can’t wait to stay for the rest of the year.

I love the customer service! When I have questions and I contact Avery, someone always replies immediately, they are polite, and most importantly, very hlepful.

My experience so far has been ok. I feel like ive been a little out if the loop so far until i call to get an understanding but im sure they are dealing with remodeling and a lot of different applicants so it is understandable. So far my experience has been good.

It was quick and easy to get approved and in with the approaching year. It wasnt too long after application that I received a phone call. My process was less than a week.

My experience at the Avery has been okay. Nothing outstanding and nothing bad. The only things that bothered me were thin walls and the ability to hear everyone outside of the door.

It’s awesome! Pretty close to campus in a walking distance of 10 mins. Very friendly and helpful staff whenever you need help. The units are all clean and nice.

It is a nice place to live with as well as the free utilities for the time to stay here. The study rooms are very spacious with the comfy sofas and tables as well.

Living in an apartment near Temple University has been an exceptional experience. The proximity to campus has made my daily commute a breeze, allowing me to balance my academic responsibilities and personal life efficiently.

Staff is nice and pretty helpful. They throw fun events and they’re updating a lot of stuff so it’s nicer now. Kitchen is a little small though.
