Roaches everywhere! Hard to reach staff! Mailboxes were removed onsite for a while. Pool is filthy. Potholes all around parking areas. Trash overflowing. Water pipe breaks guaranteed every month so no hot water on many occasions. No lights or ceiling fans in any room. I moved our asap after lease I was tired of seeing roaches everywhere.

Lived at Avistar on the Blvd for 3 years, moved out October 2023. Contemplated leaving a review, would have left 3 stars. You get what you pay for, low price, low quality, but great location, staff is not rude or unhelpful, but lord can they not get maintenance requests done. Went without a flushing toilet for 5 months before moving out. Called and emailed about it to no avail. The three stars would've been lower were it not for the positive experience I had in the first year and a half living here. But management changed, and you know how the story goes. The straw that broke the camels back in leaving this review: Paid the amount owed after moving out, which was reasonable for cleaning charges, not overcharged. Paid before the given due date, have signed receipt. Yet they still sent that statement to their collections agency and now I get to spend my holiday season proving that I don't owe a debt dealing with debt collectors. Save yourself the headache, pay $50 or $100 more in rent to live somewhere nicer and don't get screwed over as you leave. 1 star for you Avistar.

We've been here two years now and have received little communication from the office regarding the availability of facilities. The winter storm and aftermath left many without access to water and laundry, and timelines were not clear as to when they would be fixed. The grounds are not kept well throughout the year. Twice, packages have been left at the office and no effort was made from the office to contact us and let us know before they were closed for the weekend. The hot water has been out more than a few times without notice and AC unit replaced or fixed at least twice in two years. We treat the unit frequently for small bugs. Cars have been left on blocks with no tires or wheels on occasion, which makes me wonder if we should worry for our vehicle. Upon renewal, two different prices were communicated by the office. The price and location are the only good things I can say about this place.

If I could do no stars, I would. There’s roaches all the time. The leasing office doesn’t listen(just a few of them, the rest are fine). The ice storm(Feb. 2021) knocked out plumbing to the washers and dryers. It’s still not fixed (April 2021). The owner sucks. They’re not offering any reimbursement or discounts for the inconvenience. It also just isn’t a safe complex. Don’t come unless desperate.

I was in search of an Awesome Property with a Fire Place in an Exclusive location in this Popular Tourist City Of San Antonio 3 years ago, I discovered ( via internet ) " Avistar On The Blvd. Apartment Homes " ... I've lived here comfortably with courteous kind and friendly neighbors for three years... I rate Avistar On The Boulevard with 5-Stars ... The Hard Working Staff are Committed to Excellence for your Satisfaction, Comforts and Pleasure, from their Dedicated Maintenance Team ; Addressing issues and making service repairs with a smile in a timely manner , to their Professional Management Representatives ; Mrs. Brittany and her Wonderful Colleagues performing Superior Service Warm and Friendly for All Residents ... I Thank God for Avistar On The Blvd : I've enjoyed living here year after year, I love all the Amenities to include Internet Access, Two Refreshing Swimming Pools to escape the Hot Texas Heat and a Convenient State-Of-The-Art Gym, for your mental and physical health ... I have been living here at Avistar on the Blvd for 4 years now, and have to say that one of the reasons I have decided to renew year after year is because of the service I get from the office and maintenance staff.
Gated community and perfect location for me. When I moved in I had some items that needed to be fixed in my apartment. I addressed with the leasing agent Iliana, and she immediately let the manager know. Within 30 minutes 3 maintenance guys were in my apartment fixing the items. I appreciate the quick response. I can already tell Avistar on the Blvd has a professional staff. Thank you!
This apartment complex is great! Close to shopping centers, restaurants and groceries stores. The office staff worked with us during hard time and have always been nice. Its a quiet area and our neighbors have been amazing.
Conveniently close to IH-10, Loop 410, and the 1604 as well as Fiesta Texas, UTSA, shopping, fine dining, and entertainment. There is an elementary school across the street for those who have kids. Pet Friendly, and quiet neighborhood.
Very convenient location, it's kept very clean, pretty quiet for the most part and everything is close by. The rent is not that bad at all considering the perks. Management is very social and involved with the residents, they genuinely get to know you by name, they actually work with you when you need assistance and are very welcoming and friendly. One of two pools (across from me) unfortunately has not been opened in over 2 years (time of living), although I always see little kids jump the fence and swim with their dogs, the wall sockets are all based on a power switch and also very loose when plugging in anything (so always having them on is not fair or financially smart). A ceiling fan in the bedroom would've been nice. Landscaping in my area is always the last to get done (I live in the back). Everything is painted over, not cleaned when they get your apartment ready. The tub was painted white, but when it started to peel within a few months, you can see the black from the tub so it never looks clean. The pipe above my tub always leaks dirty water, occasionally it leaks leaves, mud, residue so I'm constantly cleaning the tub. The AC vents have A LOT of mold, dirt. When I first moved in, I cleaned them thoroughly with Clorox, but I'm not able to clean deep in them. The "hardwood" floors are plastic tiles. There is 1 broken drawer in my kitchen that I've requested to be fixed, that always falls over, but maintenance never actually fixes it, they just align it back, so I gave up on that. Other than those things, this is a great place to live for an affordable price. I have recommended this place to several people looking to live on this area.
