Poor Mgmt. Often rude. Mgr. hides in office. Very friendly to get you to sign lease but then forget it. Poor maintenance. Poor/non-existent pest control. Elevators broken for weeks and weeks. Seems to be getting worse and worse and staff and managers could care less.

I wish someone would have written about this before I moved here I would have chosen to go somewhere else. it was okay for the first 2 days then they started appearing everywhere I want to get out of my lease so bad and go somewhere else but I don't even think that its possible the only positive thing about this apartment building is that the management are very understanding of your situations so I guess that's a plus but everything else is just a no.

Apartments are lovely. Cleaning crew great. Maintenance and staff horrific. Too many options in Laurel to deal with such an unresponsive and dismissive team

I have lived at Avondale for almost 2 years. My first year here wasn't so bad. My only issue was an AC maintenance problem and maintenance came and fixed it right away, which I was grateful for. My second year here has been a nightmare though. I have been putting up with a noisy neighbor for months now and I have been losing sleep over it and it has been causing me a lot of anxiety. I have complained to management over 10 times and I have met with them in person to talk about it. They tell me the same thing everytime; they will look into it and resolve the issue and keep in contact with me. The major problem with this is that they have neglected to actively solve the issue and have not updated me on the situation. I feel like they keep forgetting that I am having this problem with my neighbor. I have to constantly go to management and re-tell the same story over and over again and I have not seen any progress thus far. My neighbor has been so noisy that I have had to stay at a friend's place some nights because I just can't sleep. I've had to take sick days because of my lack of sleep as well. I've asked if I can move out early since this problem is affecting my general well-being and management told me that I would still have to pay off the rest of my lease and I would not get my security deposit back. They told me that before I make that decision, to wait for them to resolve the issue, which they obviously have not done. I feel like this issue is a good representation of how management here treats their tenants. All they seem to care about are the rent checks, and not if the tenants feel safe and secure in their establishment. As for other issues, there are a ton of weird odors in the hallways (you can sometimes smell weed too), the laundry machines always seem to be broken, and the place is always having security problems. Cars have been broken into, the wooden gates at the entrance have been smashed through, and people are always trying to sneak into the building. I definitely do not think this place is worth the price, or even worth it at all. There are much nicer and safer apartments elsewhere. I hate to leave such a bad review but this is how I honestly feel about Avondale. I really wish I never moved here.
I have lived months in this apartment. This apartment is the worst apartment that I have lived in Laurel. The leasing office staffs never respect the tenants in the apartment. They might be kind only when you sign up for this. The apartment itself is very old and barely maintained, e.g., there are usually leaking in sink or bath. There is no washer and dryer in a unit and the common washers always damaged clothes and do not rinse properly. In addition, as know, almost all leasing contracts are unfavorable to tenants. In particular, this apartment is so proud of these unfavorable terms and conditions in the leasing contract. The cleaning staffs try to keep clean common areas such as lobby and hallway. That is why I can at least give 1 star otherwise, this apartment deserves to receive 0 star at all.
I have lived at the Avondale since March 2014 and I don't plan on going anywhere anytime soon. The complex is clean and well kept. The staff is very friendly and professional;and always willing to help with various issues in the building. The building has after hours security so I always feel safe. Unlike my apartments in the past, it has a fitness center on the main level with a sauna and outdoor pool, so you don't have to make excuses about having time to go to the gym since it is in the building.))) Lastly, the location is great with a shopping center (Town Centre of Laurel) within walking distance and just a 30 minute drive from Baltimore and Washington,DC. You will never regret living here.

I enjoy my spacious apartment that comes a great price. I live very close to the new Laurel Town Center. The apartment has a pool, sauna, laundry on each floor, and a gym. They serve continental breakfast each morning, but you must get there at a certain time, or they run out. My favorite part is that the walls are very thick so I never hear my neighbors.

I've lived at Avondale for 3 years. I've never had any problems. It's a great location, close to 95. The parking lot is gated and the building is secure so I feel safe with my daughter living here. There is a nice pool and a gym. This is one of the few highrises in Laurel and the view is amazing!

I have lived here since 2012 and I haven't had any issues. The staff is great. The customer service is good. They have one of the best gyms I have seen at an apartment complex. The building is really clean. I have really great neighbors and I feel secured here.

The water is always SHUT OFF! and without waring. If you can cope with the monthly, bi-weekly water interruptions (no water to bathe, cook, brush your teeth, wash dishes...you complete the rest) and the gross inconveniences, this is the place for you.
