Portland has received a lot of attention in recent years as the Pacific Northwest’s hub of all things ultra-hip, but there’s another Oregon community that shares Portland’s eclectic flavor without all the big city hustle and bustle. Although Bend, Oregon has been growing steadily for years, the city is surrounded by astonishing geographical variety, including deserts, mountains, and forests, making it a dream location for lovers of the outdoors. Mountain biking, golf, fishing, hiking, camping, rock climbing, whitewater rafting, and skiing are all very popular in Bend, and outdoor recreation is a major part of the local economy.
Home to an OSU campus, Central Oregon Community College, and Cascade Culinary Institute, Bend is an excellent place to get an education while enjoying the great outdoors. The city boasts an impressive selection of high-quality restaurants as well as some of the best breweries in Oregon.

Property Ratings at Awbrey Pines on the Butte
Been living here Almont 2 years. since then think we've had 5 different managers that dont know what there doing and take forever to help you with maintenance issues or anything! Parking is terrible even tho theres 8 signs that say resedient paking only and they give you parking passes they dont enforce parking. theres broken cars with oil pans under them not moved for months list goes on walls paper thin. only good is super close to the college
I have a two bedroom apartment here at Awbrey Pines and have lived here for 2 years. Overall it is a great apartment but there are a few drawbacks. For one, it is rather small and has limited storage space. When I first applied to live here, I was shown a newly remodeled space and was sold. When I moved in, it turned out that I was renting an old, non-remodeled unit. Needless to say I felt a little duped. However, it was a second floor unit that had lofted ceilings, which is the best thing about my apartment. There is very little light during the daytime, so if you like house plants don't even try unless you can place one directly by a window. These apartments should have skylights on the second floor. You have to do laundry outside your apartment, which is okay but rather expensive. Other than that, this has been a great place to live during my time in Bend, OR.
