Property Ratings at Azalea at West Melbourne
I was looking for a apartment for my two sons to reside during their time attending FIT. I spent a full day researching over 15 apartment properties in the Melbourne area. Taking into consideration price point, age of the complex, appearance, quality of construction and cleanliness. Azalea at West Melbourne was hands down the best property. The staff Alex, Kathy and Jose are true assets to the community.
Back in April of 2023 we had a hail storm that damaged screens. The screens still have not been fixed and management doesn’t let residents know why either. Do not believe the 5 star reviews and they have “parties” where if you put a 5 star review online you can spin a wheel for prizes.

The management is amazing. They really listen to your concerns and try to help you in the best way possible. If you request maintenance they are at your apt fixing it within a few hours. They regularly clean the pool and they kept all their facilities in top shape. Also the trash valet is amazing. You never have to take your trash more than 5 feet would give 6 stars if I could!

It’s a nice place but there are some flaws that have made us look elsewhere. 1. It’s a “luxury condominium” that is not made for young children. There are no playgrounds on-site which is extremely peculiar. 2. The closets have doors and after touring we realized in the second/third bedroom you can’t use the entire left side of the closet or the right side closest to the door opening because then the door either will get damaged, or not open all the way, or can’t close. There should be bifold doors. 3. There is a lot of wasted space in the laundry room. Another shelf on top would really add to it. We ended up renting a house near a park we can walk to but would have loved to have lived here.

The Oasis at West Melbourne was fantastic. When Azalea took over, it went downhill fast. 1. We’ve been without internet for 3 days in the last 2 wks, which impacts people’s ability to work and get paid. The manager hasn’t returned any calls and neither has corporate. 2. The gate has never closed once since I moved in January. 3. There is 1 maintenance person for the whole complex. 4. Last time the internet went out (Wednesday) bc they lost power, they just shut the office and left without telling the residents. 5. The computers in the business center have disappeared. 6. Rent has increased hundreds of dollars, so renewing the lease is ridiculous.
New owners and in a few months place has gone downhill. Internet and direct TV have been down 3x in 2 weeks. 13 hours this time. Staff just left! No choice for internet and TV service (also out)..you pay the complex and then they don't maintain it! No one answers the phone at the office anymore. Inspection after inspection..no privacy! Gate is has not been closed since I moved in (Jan 2021). HVAC filter never changed. Maintenance downhill. Promised Amazon hub never built. Pool was closed for over a week. Apartments inside are very nice. Paying alot of money not to have it better managed. Don't get me started on the wolf spiders inside and out! Grass maintenance is also a joke...when do finally cut it they leave tire marks all ove the sidewalk and chunks of grass everywhere...it looks horrible! The owner will ask me to call office to discuss but again no one answers the phone...all you can do is leave a voicemail!

The staff at oasis at west Melbourne apartment are the best. I moved in December 31st 2020 and was taken care by Nichole what a wonderful young lady. I am pleased with all of them. Maintenance are wonderful they take care of all your needs in a timely manner starting with Chris the supervisor and his wonderful staff Tim, Jay and Alendra. The other day I had packages to bring up and Jay stop what she was doing and helped me with bringing my packages upstairs today I was heading to the dumpster and Alendra took my boxes for me. We have had interactions with all four members of the staff here at the Oasis at West Melbourne during our move-in process. Marissa, Sam, Alexis, and Nicole have all been wonderful from their welcoming smiles, ability to work together to accomplish goals and keep one another informed, and answering all of our questions. They have made this transition to our new home a much easier task!
A great place to call "home". The entire staff always greet you with a smile and are very helpful to our needs, and are quick to attend to any problems that arise. The grounds and facilities are kept clean every day by friendly courteous workers. Nicole was very friendly & informative on the apartment that I inquired about, as well as helping me with our search for a new apartement. Her professionalism shines through working together.I would definitely recommend Nicole, she certainly rates a five-star agent with me! We look forward to her continued support.
