Property Ratings at Azula North
The receptionist and mngt team are SO RUDE, there is trash everywhere, zero pest control, and the pool has been closed for 6 MONTHS. I cannot stress this enough, do not move here.

I live in Bradenton FL. I drove over an hour and some change and I scheduled an appointment for Saturday at 4pm. I showed up for my appointment however no one was there while sending me constant notifications confirming my appointment and reminding me of my appointment but they did not bother to show up. This was one of the most unprofessional things I have ever seen, absolute waist of my time. This was very inconsiderate and rude. I’d advise anyone thinking of coming here to not. They’ll just waste your time and clearly aren’t professional or trustworthy.

DASMEN Residential would like to thank you for being a valued resident within our community, and we hope to improve your living experience.
i’m really unhappy that i decided to move here. when i was trying to move in I was calling everyday to try to get Maya to send me the stuff she had promised. i.e, approval for the apartment. She was constantly saying that she forgot or that she would send it and never did. When I was about to move in I kept asking her to send the lease because I was driving across the country to move to Tampa and wanted to do the lease prior to moving. She didnt ever send the lease and I did it when I got there. It was about 45 pages and took over an hour. The neighborhood is terrible, I have seen homeless people walking around and there is trash everywhere, like in the parking lot, pond, every grass area. The compactor where they tell you to bring the trash on days the valet trash doesnt come is so overfilled. It smells like rotten food and death and there is no way to drop trash off there. The only thing I like is the actual apartment, its pretty nice for the price. I just went to the pool and it was locked and I asked about it and they said it would be closed for a few days. With no notice in 93 degree weather. Also, dont bother calling the office because about 90% of the time they don’t answer. The office tram is the biggest issue, it seems like none of them care about their residents actually wanting to live here so they dont bother doing things that would make the apartments nice to live in, like not letting the grass overgrow, not having trash laying all around the apartments, actually doing what they say theyre going to do, etc. I have lived here for a month and am patiently waiting until I can move next year.

We love pool days and 5-star reviews! Thanks for taking the time to acknowledge our hard work. We appreciate you!
The apartment itself is cute but the new property management is trying to improve the appearance while fixing nothing. I’ve reached out numerous times and no one has responded. Going in isn’t an option as their work hours are the same as mine. The pool is awful people constantly there at alllllll hours of the day and night screaming and you can hear it like they’re in your apartment. Kids with zero supervision. I had a homeless man sleep in my stairs on more than one occasion and nothing was done. The maintenance of the property is awful there’s garbage everywhere. Dog owners are worse. They never pick up dog crap or even use leashes??!! & The place is overflowing with stray cats. The rents low but not low enough for these types of issues. If you decide to move in whatever you do stay away from the buildings surrounding the pool.

Terrible new management! The crime in/around this neighborhood is filled with tons of car theft & burglaries. We've lived here for at least a year and we hear gun shots any time of the day (especially night) frequently. Their new maintenance staff are very inexperienced and most of the time don't even come to complete a maintenance request despite how many times I've complained to the office! IF anyone from maintenance show up to "fix" an issue (big or small) in the apartment it's extremely painful to watch these men have no clue what they are doing. Definitely not worth the high rent every single month! Management had the bright idea to take away garbage dumpsters around the entire neighborhood and replace with ONE trash compactor that you have to walk a far distance with your trash to throw away. They say valet trash pick up can take your trash out for you but they don't come all days of the week. Disappointing to say the least! Thanks for the 6 parking lots (where the dumpsters used to be placed) & the major inconvenience of taking out our trash! Apartments are filled with pests & you better hope your neighbors don't have any or else your unit will be infested too! Found out our apartment has termites & still haven't heard from our quality, caring (heavy sarcasm) management yet. They can't just continue painting over major issues forever! Not worth our money, especially after all the fees they've added since we've moved in! Michaelson Group is a joke!

Celia, it's certainly disappointing to see that you haven't been enjoying a more positive stay in our community. It's of the utmost importance to us that we provide our residents with comfort, convenience, and value in every aspect of their stay here. Recent changes we have made to our services and/or policies have been motivated primarily by the desire for more ease of living for each community member. We removed the dumpsters to provide additional parking accommodations within the finite amount of space we have to work with. Valet trash service was implemented to save residents the hassle of walking that far distance to take their trash out. With regards to your maintenance and pest control concerns, we'd be better able to address these matters with you in person, so please stop by the office as soon as you're able. Our team looks forward to working with you towards a resolution and improvement of your overall experience.
This place is under new management and they are on point! I just moved in with my daughter and its peaceful and safe. The apartment features a washer and dryer, maintenance came over immediately and replaced a lightbulb and touched up some other things. Friendly staff, safe and serene environment, clean and perfect for the area and price!

We appreciate you taking the time to leave a review, and a 5STAR one at that! We are so glad you are enjoying your time here at the Allister Place Apartments.
I have recently moved here and the Maya and JR who work in the leasing office are extremely rude and get annoyed when you as pertinent information regarding almost anything. If I hadn’t already paid the fees, I would’ve moved elsewhere to have avoided not being treated this way.
Property Manager at Azula North, Responded To This Review
We apologize for not receiving 5 STAR service in our Leasing Office. We hold ourselves to a high level of service and care and will look towards an opportunity to show you that.
I was going to wait until I move out in June to write a review but I am sick of living here so here it is now. First of all, they tell you the apartment's "starting price" but be prepared to pay $100 on your apartment for no reason other than "that's what is available". My apartment doesn't have a peephole. My neighbors smoke and it makes my apartment smell. The toilet can't even flush a piece of toilet paper. Frogs, roaches, flies everywhere in and outside of my apartment. Parking is a nightmare any time after 8 and I ALWAYS have to park several buildings away from my own apartment. I don't think they actually tow anyone or check parking which is good if you don't care about anyone else, but it's unfortunate for me who lives here and can't park near my home. People smoke near the pool while their kids are running around the pool screaming so going to the pool isn't relaxing or enjoyable. I will say the inside of the apartment is nice. It looks nice, and is very spacious. Though when I moved in the floors were FILTHY. The speed bumps throughout the complex are ridiculous, worse than the USF ones. Leaving the complex is a disaster because you are only supposed to turn right and if you need to go the other way you either: cut across three lanes of Busch blvd traffic and try to make a u turn at 50th OR hold up everybody else trying to leave by waiting to make a left turn. Yesterday someone stole a package that was left for me (it was delivered two days early), but then later today I found it upstairs ripped open. I know that can happen anywhere, but it has never happened to me at any of the other places I lived at and it DEFINITELY happens here. Of course during the tour they show you the fancy showroom right next to the pool and you think wow this place is great! Drive around the complex, try to talk to people who live there. There are a lot of dumpsters throughout but they get filled with trash so quickly and it overflows so there is trash everywhere. There was a steak n shake milkshake cup left by the stairs for WEEKS before someone finally got it. You'd think a place trying to get people's money would make it look less trashy. I have lived at three other apartments in the area and this is by far my least favorite and I will never recommend this place to anyone. I was very disappointed in my experience here.

Absolute worst place I have ever lived - - anytime I needed to contact the office related to safety, maintenance, or break-ins it took multiple calls to get anyone's attention. - We had a HUGE termite problem - again, took several calls before they came to fix anything and I'm sure building 12 has serious structural damage - If you have neighbors that smoke it will stink up the stairwells and seep into your apartment - disgusting - My car was broken into - along with several other people through out the time I was there - and yes I called the police - I constantly see people drinking at all hours - including my neighbors who would be passed out on the stairway at 7am - There have been homeless people using the parking lot to sleep in their cars and dumpster dive - Zero security - they had security for a few months and then never saw them again - had to call the police when my boyfriend was threatened - Water in the apartment has a lovely sewage stench and is very questionable to drink/shower in - People speed in parking lot - I've seen multiple crashes and cars wrecked -Multiple break-ins/robberies - again, called the police -Parking lot floods -Definite drug dealers/drug usage through out the community -Lots of solicitation - flyers left on cars and apartment doors

Thank you for your review. We appreciate constructive reviews such as yours so we may improve in the future now that the property is under DASMEN Residential management.
Have lived here for the last five months out of convenience of location but being in said location comes with it's definite down sides! There is a lot of drug related activities being held in and around this entire complex. The neighborhood in itself is trashy, run down and falling apart everywhere. There is never any available parking, the noise level is out of control (during quiet hours) and it is completely infested with roaches, other bugs, stray cats and frogs. I understand some of these problems can not be resolved by Allister Place but the entire neighborhood gives off an air of a lack of upkeep or care. Unfortunately, the management and leasing office has given me one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had as well. Called to file a complaint, was told it would be handled, called again after the problem was not resolved and was told they "will do nothing about it" and that they "did not care". Appeared in person and received even worse treatment. Besides the condescending attitudes, they are completely useless and unhelpful. The manager I spoke to was Kylie (rude!!!!!).

Its amazing how you go to your home and there’s no parking available for you, so you have to park either in the grass or in handicaps parking lot. You notify the office and they just apologize to you and tell you they are working on it. Next day you find out that your car was tow; I go to the office and ask management for some assistant since is not my fault there’s no parking available they just apologize to me and don’t do NOTHING even that I informed them several times about the situation. I ended up paying for the towing. On the other hand the rent goes up every month and they also don’t have an answer to explain what is causing the rent to go up every month.

Do not be fooled by the renovations--these were done as cheaply as they could be. Oven cooks unevenly, no icer make in the freezer, no garbage disposal in the sink. Paint is super cheap and chips very easily--in addition the paint job was done so quickly, as was any dry wall repairs etc. that they did. the tub was no caulked properly and is cracked. There are bugs--we have seen evidence of termites (wings, holes) as well as a serious sugar ant problem (we do no have food out and keep a clean house--they are just in the building and we cannot get rid of them) so I don't know what the money they are charging monthly for pest control is going to. Parking is a serious issue--several spots often being taken up by maintenance equipment--piles of sod, dirt, etc, as well as there just not being enough spots for the number of apartments. Implement a resident parking system--just because our neighbors have guests doesn't mean i should have to park 4 buildings down by the front office. Have visitor parking and resident parking--its a simple system. There is no weathering along the doors or windows to help keep the space insulated--frequently it is hard to keep the apartment cool in the summer due to this, as all the cold air gets out--probably also explains the bug problem. They had to cut open our bathroom at one point (a repair that took over two weeks, involving the walls being open all around our sink) so we saw the insulation--old old old and moldy form the looks of it. Again--these are all poorly done surface upgrades--we are moving out a month before our lease is over because we can't take it anymore. I'd rather pay double rent for two apartments for a month than stay here through the end of our lease.

I am a young professional looking to find a place where there is a lot of bang for my buck, safe for my daughter(7 months old), easy commute to work, and offers a great and welcoming experience. I have searched Channelside, Brandon, Riverview, and Tampa. I have to say out of all the places (rent from 800-1900 for 1 bed room), Allister Place definitely gets a check in my box. From the moment me and my girl walked into the office for the first time we felt more than welcome. We were greeted by 2 young ladies Ashley and Jodie. Jodie took us on tour to view the property. Her knowledge about the community was great. When we walked into the cypress we fell in love. I was a little hesitant about pulling the trigger so i made requests I thought they could not meet. I wanted a poolside, first floor, fully updated, with free popcorn whenever. Jodie took us back to the office and said she could make it happen. Me and my lady decided to not make a decision on impulse and to look a t 1 other property. After viewing the other property we literally sped back to Allister to fill out the paperwork on our new apartment home. When we went back the following weekend just to view the property again, Eric and Ashley greeted us with huge smiling faces. We wanted to spend a few minutes in the unit. They did not hesitate, brush us off, or seem bothered by our request. Ashley jumped up with a huge smile and took us to the unit which we were able to ask hundreds of questions lol. No question was a dumb question to her. Although I have yet to meet Julie, she seems really nice over the phone and has been really great to work with so far. So far I have to say we are super excited to make Allister our home. I hope and pray the changes that have been made there fit our lifestyle.

Thank you so much for the great review. I’m so happy to hear that you had a positive and happy experience with us!
These newly renovated and refreshed apartments are no good. The staff (especially the property manager) are rude and uncaring. I've personally heard them laughing at current and future tenets behind their backs. Biggest gripe, this whole property is infested with roaches. Even if you get a "new" unit. Just give it a few days you'll get them. And if they do any work in the near by empty units that they are refurbishing, that will drive the roaches to your unit. Oh you like their pretty pool and hope to lounge around the area and sunbathe like a normal Floridian? Nah. It's closed. Literally every other complexes pool ive been to is and has been open but not ours. The parking lot is a mess. First theres pot holes everywhere. You'll see them as soon as you drive in. They go down to about 6 inches into the dirt. How's that acceptable? There's their storage boxes everywhere around the complex. I understand they are trying to fix this hole in the wall up but do they really have to take up resident parking spaces? The units that are most filled have a shortage of spaces because they put a huge box where people would park. Why aren't they in a centralized location? Just parked diagonal blocking off they whole back rows. You'll see the pretty, manicured, landscaped greenery in the front but stroll to the back. Dead grass, shrubs, and leaves everywhere. Broken sprinklers. It looks trashy where they'll stick you. I could keep listing things about this subpar complex but do some digging or actually ask a resident. You'll see allister apartments is trying to dupe you.
I was really skeptical after signing my lease and reading the reviews. I thought the apartments wouldn't be set to the expectations of the model and what they claimed to offer. None the less, I am finally moved in and love my apartment! I'm so glad I didn't let the reviews change my mind about living here. My apartment was perfect & definitely exceeded what I visioned it to be. I have the smallest 1Bd/1Br and my washer & dryer is not in my bedroom like other reviews state. There is some minor things that could've been done better but it's nothing to be in a uproar about with management. I would def. refer anybody looking to live here to consultant with Julie, she was a great help with moving me in. Only cons I have is parking. It's limited so you may have to park a few spaces away from your building. I haven't put in a maintenance request as of yet & the gentlemen seem nice .. they all do a friendly greet. Only bad thing is I woke up to a group of them talking loud outside of my bedroom window for about an hour in the morning. But other than that, I am very satisfied with choosing Allister Place as my new home !!!!
I've only been staying in Allister place for 4 months I was so excited about moving in the "MODEL" blew me away. Updated appliance and Reasonable Rent. The apartment is not fully renovated they only put faces on things new doors to go on some old cabinets they painted over the filthy dirty walls with paint the fake garnet counter top, the carpet they put in is so cheap the parking suck you literally have to fight for parking they have visitors spots but no one have stickers on their car to tell their residents so you may have to park way in visitors and walk way to your unit they charge for reserved parking I really hate living here so ready to move immediately.
I am so excited to be moving here and to be attending graduate school at USF. This complex is so very convenient to shopping and school. This is in the heart of Tampa. I was reading the reviews, and to the poster who complained about the layout... you should have done your homework. There is no misrepresentation of the layout. The model they show you is of the largest style, but they dont pretend its what you are signing up for. It is whatever YOU choose. You get the layout of all the models, plus you are told what is available... and its pretty obvious where things are placed i.e. washer/dryer from pictures provided. Another, thing a potential leaser may want to do is go on Allister's Facebook page and they have video links to other models, so to evaluate the model further. As far as the amenities, they are great, everything is modern, wood-like flooring is available for 1st level floors only, but the white cabinets, upgraded counters are in every apartment. All apartments are brand new, meaning renovated with everything new such as appliances, paint, etc. My only negative is that the gate is not fixed. In my opinion it should be the first thing fixed for security reasons, but I have been reassured that it is in the process. I am so excited to be living in a 1st floor Birch.
The day came to finally move in and I noticed my apartment layout looked totally different than the one I was advised of. Never was I expecting to live in an apartment where there is a washer and dryer in my bedroom that just odd. I did ask for the smallest model they had but I do not know if maybe in their brochure they had them listed incorrectly or if the agent that got me to sign my lease just was not knowledgeable enough. Actually living space wise I would have to give this like a 3, for the following reasons I do not know who they hire to paint the inside of the apartments, but I could do a better job by myself or an 8 year old could do a better job. The work in my apartment looks very half done which I did point out to the office but I take it as they really just brushed it off. The closet doors just look like they do not belong because they do not close all the way, they would be better off just leaving the doors off. The kitchen only looks like they added new counter tops and appliances. Cabinets themselves just look like someone repainted them and added new doors too them. Which in saying I also brought to the attention that one on of the cabinets in the kitchen looks like the door was put on backwards which again seems like no one really cares too fix, and also that some one the cabinets underneath got painted but not others. I can not blow dry my hair with out the smoke alarm going off, nor can I cook without it going off which I did ask to have it replace since A. is dirty and B. looks old but was told they are unable to change them. The water to me here gets burning hot, no one can figure out still why my shower is backwards cold is hot and hot is cold, Hot is honestly burning hot I can not get it on warm to save my life. Office staff is really nice, although one complaint doesn't at all times seem like they have it altogether, because you can ask them a question one day get an answer and the next day you might get a different answer. Maintenance is GREAT!!! they get things done and are extremely helpful, one day I was walking my trash to the trash bin and the maintenance guy offered too take it for me which I thought was really kind. The work they are doing on the buildings is turning out to be amazing its really nice to watch it all turn out, you walk out your apartments and sometimes have to remember you actually you live here.
I recently toured the Allister place apartments. This complex is under new ownership and there were projects being done everywhere. Landscaping, building repairs, painting etc. The leasing office is very nice and the girls in the office are wonderful. I toured the new model which is beautiful. Can't wait to see the finished project.
