Property Ratings at Bailey's Ridge
I’ve been here six months and so far no Real issues. They are pretty good about fixing things and don’t have to wait a long time for it to get fixed. The new management in the office is pretty nice and is willing to listen to any concerns that you may have. The only Thing that they need is to spray for those big water bugs that mostly come out at night and run around the sidewalk and stairs of the complex.
I wouldn’t give this apartment complex any stars. The management is the worst. You can call the office and they will not answer the phone. They don’t do anything they don’t fix nothing. You can put work orders in and they will just sit there. All they care about is the money. You have to fix your own problems. I don’t recommend anyone to move here.
These apartments are the worse, I wouldn’t recommend a homeless person to even live there. Jennifer who is the apartment manager is very rude, short with you, has a nonchalant attitude, and very sarcastic. The apartment conditions are old, and ROACH infested. They take forever to fix anything or they send you a email telling you it was fixed when it actually wasn’t. The neighbors that live above you can make as much noise as they want to, and the rent office does nothing about it. You have to call the rent office several times just for them to answer, I have even had to call the rent office private just for them to answer. When you move they will try to find anything that they can possibly charge you for to take your security deposit. These were the worst apartments that I ever resided in. If you work hard for your money, and pay your rent on time every month then I would highly suggest not moving here, because they won’t even take that into consideration that you should not have to put up with those type of living conditions where you pay your hard earned money to live comfortably and roach free.
This property is very unorganized and has been nothing but stressful for my client since she moved in less than 2 months ago. The apartment was very dirty upon her moving in. The master toilet had a urine stain on it, the vent in the bathroom had not been cleaned in ages, and the carpet had stains and what looked like cigarette burns on it, just to name a few. When asked about the carpet, it was stated that it had been replaced the year before and they could not help how the previous tenant left it. The manager stated they could not afford to replace the carpet each year. Is this not what the deposit is for? I have not had personal interaction with the maintenance men, but have been told by my client that they are lazy. Nothing has been fixed that was an issue on the "move-in checklist". While A/C is not required by the state, it is something that is advertised. This was not something provided to my elderly, disabled client for multiple weeks, while it was extremely hot outside. When asked for reasonable accommodation (I.e. Fan), all that was said was they would see what they could do, which was nothing. Not even a month into living at the apartment, bedbugs were found. When reported to the complex, she was told she would be responsible for the expensive treatment to get rid of the bugs. The complex changed management last month and something has finally been done about the bugs, but still at my clients expense. To add insult to injury, my client received a notice of no payment of rent on her door last week. When she provided her receipt of payment, no apology was given for the inconvenience, just excuses. When you have tenants that are low-income and/or have mental health issues, these unnecessary stressors tend to agitate the symptoms of their illness. When going to an office to ask for help resolving an issue, they should not be met with hostility. This office does not provide the friendly atmosphere that is advertised, and always seem to be on the defense. I highly recommend that anyone interested in renting here, think twice.
If you are looking for a place that will refuse to work with you, will blame issues on you, and the maintenance is slow...you have found your place. I will continue to not recommend this place and the company that owns them.
I chose to rent an apartment from Baileys Ridge Apartments because I figured they weren't that old built in 1999 & couldn't be that bad, needless to say that was a bad choice. The carpets need replacing the air filter had not been changed in what appeared to be ever. The bathroom toilet is leaning, the floors in the bathroom are weak, the shower wall is pulling apart from the sheetrock , it appears as though they tried to tape it back together and paint over it the bottom of the tub floor is weak as well, the paint they used is cheap & rubs off on anything touching it. The apartment has a stench, youll always have to burn candles or incents. Its a shame, who builds properties just to let them fall in, if you are gonna be a slum lord don't buy apartments and force people to live like this. Find another way to make money!
