Property Ratings at Ballantyne Commons Apartments
This is the nicest community in Hendersonville. Rayna and her team do an excellent job of taking care of us.
We have now lived at Ballantyne Commons for six months and what a wonder experience it has been! Management and maintenance have been very responsive to our requests and we're treated with dignity and respect. We especially enjoy the upscale and polish look of the apartment complete with crown molding, granite countertops and ample storage. Our patio faces the large retention pond and it has been delightful to watch all the crotters--birds, woodchucks, rabbits, chipmonks, etc. We are in our early sixties as well as most of the residents in our building! It's very quiet here. We refer to it as similar to the grand independent living places but without the cafeteria! Did I mention the large gas grills and fire pit?
The apartments themselves are beautiful, and the entire property is well maintained. A full time maintenance crew addresses all needs promptly and thoroughly. A grounds crew mows and maintains landscaping weekly. The fill-time office staff is friendly and helpful, urging residents to stop in for coffee or just say hi. The large pool is clean and wonderful. We are a retired couple who moved here in 2018, and we continually marvel how quiet and friendly this complex is. Also, we enjoy the regularly-scheduled activities for residents— pool parties, Halloween events, food trucks, etc. We love it here!!!

We a very sorry you feel that way. Have you met our new property manager, Linda? We are confident she would like to meet you and discuss any concerns you have.
-NIGHTMARE- - many many safety issues - management is pleasant until you need something done - motorcycles stolen - apartment attempted break-ins - no security - mold issues - packages stolen - cars stolen and broken into and the list could cont. for a few pages...
Property Manager at Ballantyne Commons Apartments, Responded To This Review
We are sorry your experience was less then desirable. We always encourage all residents to secure their belongings, we make sure lights are working, and our courtesy officer is available. We love our community and hope your future experience it better.
The total experience of moving into Ballantyne Commons was most pleasant. Starting at the time I decided to move here a couple of months ago, I have been consistently treated well by a highly professional and friendly staff, headed by the exceptional manager, Kelly Noble. The maintenance staff is well-trained, and prompt as needed. Also, the grounds are well-maintained, and the noise levels so far have been acceptable. The property is convenient to shopping and restaurants, and only a five-mile drive to beautiful downtown Hendersonville. Bottom line: my apartment already feels like home.
I grew up in this area and was looking forward to some Southern Hospitality, but this wasn't even close. I've never been treated with such disrespect. When you are applying, they act like you are a Greek God worthy of all of their time and attention, but once you sign the lease, they treat you like a nuisance. We lived here for 8 months while searching for a house, and they made the process so painful. They intentionally try to hide as much information as they can to lead you into the most lucrative decision for themselves because they don't give a rip about people. They will tell you anything just to get you out of the office so that they can focus on new tenants. Do yourself a favor and don't even consider Ballantyne Commons.
Ballantyne Apartments are in a great location and has a fantastic management and maintenance team. They are part of Southwood Realty. Nice new location and spacious apartments. We're very happy here....
You found it! Home sweet Home. You will not need to look anyplace else. All you need is right here. After you check out the other apartments in the area you will see for the price is just right at Ballantyne. It just doesn't get any better than this. Come on in! What are you waiting for? Your home now at Ballantyne.
My objective opinion is that this is a decent place to live. It's moderately quiet, and pretty safe. I have lived here a year and the grounds have always been kept nice and tidy. For the most part everyone, office staff and residents, is very friendly. I will say the rent is too high. The quality is not reflected in the price tag because you can hear every move your neighbors make. Also, there are very nice interior features like granite countertops, but the inside construction is poor and there are cracks in the moulding, and poor insulation. It is the nicest apartment community in Hendersonville though.
