Curved along Shilshole Bay, Ballard is one of Seattle’s trendiest neighborhoods. Settled in the early 1800s, Ballard has its own identity – historic warehouses converted into lofts, shops, and breweries, the must-see Ballard Locks (if it’s salmon season, be sure to head down the fish ladder and watch the salmon trying to swim against the current through glass panels), and Golden Gardens Park.
Considered one of Seattle’s best parks, Golden Gardens park has it all – amazing views of the Olympic Mountains, beautiful beaches, hiking trails, fishing and boating areas, and even an off-leash dog park. Renting in Ballard also puts you near one of Seattle’s best farmers markets, the Ballard Farmers Market. The market is open year-round and often features live music.
Explore Ballard’s history at the Nordic Heritage Museum. The museum features permanent exhibitions that focus on the area’s Nordic roots, along with a variety of temporary exhibits.

Property Ratings at Ballard Brick Apartments
Everything in the apartment is cheaply, poorly installed and falls apart. The owner then charges you to replace things by buying luxury versions of the cheap things on your dime. The laminate floors are installed over an uneven surface so it looks like a river all throughout the unit with large dents where it was installed over craters. The owner will not respond to complaints of domestic violence at 1am above you where the tenant is slamming doors, punching his girlfriend in the head, and picking up and slamming furniture. The trash area smells like urine from all the homeless people and the internal hallways still have the original carpet from the 60s and smell. The owner will set-up a day and time to fix things and then every single time come up with an excuse why she had to come a day early while you were at work with no notice. We one time came home to a ladder in our kitchen without being contacted in advance for a non-emergency repair (this is illegal). I complained after our dishwasher that was probably ten years old had stayed on heating for 4 days straight and was constantly melting things but nothing was done about it. Your rent will also increase 10% every year so be prepared. Only one other unit was occupied by the same tenant for more than a year. The apartments turned over ever year. They are building multiple multi-unit apartments or studios with no parking surrounding this building so parking will be incredibly challenging as well. If you are comfortable with domestic violence, urine smells, your crown molding falling off the ceiling, a dishwasher that will melt things and burn you and the owner entering your unit 24 hours earlier than agreed upon this is the place for you!
