Curved along Shilshole Bay, Ballard is one of Seattle’s trendiest neighborhoods. Settled in the early 1800s, Ballard has its own identity – historic warehouses converted into lofts, shops, and breweries, the must-see Ballard Locks (if it’s salmon season, be sure to head down the fish ladder and watch the salmon trying to swim against the current through glass panels), and Golden Gardens Park.
Considered one of Seattle’s best parks, Golden Gardens park has it all – amazing views of the Olympic Mountains, beautiful beaches, hiking trails, fishing and boating areas, and even an off-leash dog park. Renting in Ballard also puts you near one of Seattle’s best farmers markets, the Ballard Farmers Market. The market is open year-round and often features live music.
Explore Ballard’s history at the Nordic Heritage Museum. The museum features permanent exhibitions that focus on the area’s Nordic roots, along with a variety of temporary exhibits.

Property Ratings at Ballard on the Park
Great place to live with the most helpful office staff of any place I’ve ever lived
This a great building to live in. Staff is great, location is perfect.
Excellent customer service, comprehensive amenities, and well designed apartments.

Hi - thanks for letting us know we went Beyond Expectations! We would love to hear more about your experience and what our team did to provide such wonderful service! Please feel free to reach out by phone or by emailing me at ontheparkmgr@greystar.com. Sincerely, Kelly Brasfield-Community Manager
I will not be renewing. This place is wildly overpriced for what is being offered. I do not feel safe here either. I have 2 dogs and there is no private dog run to take them out and the unhoused situations keeps getting worse. Recently i was followed by someone all around the park while he said gross things to me. I had to show him my pepper spray to get him to leave. The apartment was also a disaster upon moving in. The appliances are old. It’s still carpeted with extremely old and stained carpets. Management has improved greatly but when i first moved in, if it wasn’t for one person, i wouldn’t have signed.

It is disheartening to hear your experience with walking your dogs in the park. We are currently working on a multitude of upgrades to the community to modernize the esthetic as well as upgrade some of the security measures. As your name is not listed on your review, I unfortunately cannot look up any information regarding your specific home. I do invite you to schedule an in-person meeting so that I can hear more details regarding your situation. Please feel free to call the leasing office or email me at ontheparkmgr@greystar.com to schedule a meeting if you are open to it. Thank you for your honest review as it helps us guide any trainings and helps us identify areas of major concern to focus on. Sincerely, Kelly Brasfield Community Manager
Overall love living at Ballard on the park. The stairwell by qfc and 57th especially by the garage can be dirty at times and there are concerns about the homeless. Hopefully the homeless issue will improve - the city can help with that too.
Property Manager at Ballard on the Park, Responded To This Review
Hello, thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are working even closer with the city through the Ballard Alliance to mitigate these types of concerns. I would be happy to schedule a meeting with you to discuss these concerns and anymore you may have while also gather your opinion on solutions. Please do not hesitate to reach out to the leasing office if this offer is something you would like to participate in. I hope you have a wonderful day and can enjoy the sunshine we are having! Sincerely, Kelly Brasfield - Community Manager

Do not move here, everything breaks, packages goes missing, rent increases every year, 40% in a year seriously?

Resident experience is our top priority. We are sorry to hear that we have not met your expectations. We welcome you to reach out to us any time to discuss your concerns. Please call Kelly at 206-297-7275.
Ballard on the Park is in a good location for walking and schools. The garbage room is often dirty and the rent is increased over $200 per month with only an 8-month lease term offered. There doesn’t seem to be any desire to keep tenants long term.

Very nice building in great location. Park next door, QFC in the basement, drug store across the street and dozens of restaurants within walking distance. Three blocks to central Ballard and the weekly Farmers Market.

Thank you for leaving a review of your experience living at Ballard on the Park. We are so glad to know you are enjoying your home!
The management, specifically the assistant manager, was hesitant to adhere with the leasing rate we originally agreed to in person with the leasing office. This significantly eroded trust in this business. We finally got in touch with the manager, who agreed to adhere to what they initially said. Further, during move-in, the elevator next to our unit had been defunct for the past 2-3 weeks and we had to hall all of our belongings a much longer distance. As of the timing of this review, that same elevator has been defunct for at least a month or more, despite being told they're working on it. Other than this, this is a clean building with nice amenities, including a well-maintained two story gym.
Management is not friendly or helpful. Not always polite when speaking to tenant.
Highly recommend Ballard on the Park apartments. Great location, awesome amenities, professional management, active community, all at a reasonable price.
The maintenance is way too slow. The carpets in the hallways are dirty and stained. There are newer buildings in the area that offer better value.
I rented a sight-unseen apartment from Ballard on the Park in a cross-country move, and the staff made the process of moving very clear and simple. They were extremely welcoming, addressed my questions / concerns immediately, and made the transition to Seattle a positive experience.
Yes. If you're looking for a place to live where you can count on the maintenance team to fix things professionally and in a timely fashion. This is the place for you. It is a great building and the grounds are kept up nicely. It is also located close to the Best Candy store in Seattle, Sweet Mickeys Candy Shoppe
Love living here. Both management and custodial teams are professional, courteous, and caring, much appreciated. Access to village/city made easy with walking and metro. Looking forward to return of use of the park. Small town and big city vibe.
Ballard on the park is a homey, welcoming community and has some of the most delightful and helpful staff I’ve ever come across in an apartment building. Not only that, but Allison and Alex are specially helpful for every need myself or other residents have when going down to the main office. The communication is spectacular, and the amenities are easily accessible and in great condition. I have loved living in my apartment there and it’s centralized location with easy access to not only stores but other shopping and amenities nearby. I couldn’t recommend it enough.
Ballard on the Park community portal makes it very easy to submit maintenance requests, pay rent and reserve amenities. I am thankful it is a tech driven apartment community especially in the time of Covid.
Truly, the best city living experience I've ever had. With great living spaces, the right amount of amenities, and an unparalleled staff, Ballard on the Park has felt like a home since day one.
Ballard on the Park is a great location for walking to nearby parks and restaurants. The underground parking and storage on each floor is very convenient.

Hi there, thank you so much for your positive comments about Ballard on the Park! We sincerely thank you for the positive review, and look forward to seeing you again soon!
I've lived at On The Park Apartments for many years and I love my apartment. It's spacious for a modern studio and has in-unit washer and dryer; the neighborhood is relatively quiet yet shops, grocery stores, and bus stops are conveniently close-by. Management is helpful and friendly. The courtyard and the grounds are nicely landscaped.

Thank you for taking the time to review our community.
I've lived at OTP for around 8 years, in two different apartments--one a decent-sized studio and the other a large 1 bedroom with den. The building ownership/management has changed over a couple times in the years I've lived here, but each generation of new staff have always done a good job and done their best. Neighbors in the building are generally quiet, nice folks. The park next door gets pretty busy with homeless folks, but you see the same people week after week and you know that for the most part they are just living in the community, too. Sometimes someone is having a bad or rough night and they might yell a little, but overall this is the quietest place I've ever lived aside from growing up out in the woods. Very convenient location above QFC, restaurants across the street and of course Ballard Ave and Market are only a couple blocks away. Maintenance has been good, rent is OK

The leasing staff have been very friendly, and the units are spacious. The location is great as well. I like the steps that were taken with Covid-19 in mind, and move in was very easy, as well as the digital tour. I feel satisfied with my choice to move here.

Hello, we strive for 100% satisfaction, and it is great to see you had such a positive experience at Ballard on the Park.
Great experience for Simple yet convenient living!
I would not recommend moving into On The Park-Ballard apt building as long as it is managed by Greystar managing company. They do not take good care of the building. The building has fallen into disrepair ever since they took over a year ago
It's been good so far; have only lived here a few weeks.
If you are looking for quality apartments in a prime location, you couldn't do better than Ballard on the Park.
Great place to live! Only negative is the homeless in the park
On the Park offers very nice, large units at competative prices. Walkability is great and management is the best I've worked with.
Weve lived at OTP for six years & feel very fortunate. The location is convenient, with grocery & drug store, library & public transportation just a block away. The building is consistently quiet, clean & management is outstanding.
Lived here for 10 years. Best office management now.
The staff at OTP has been fantastic! From leasing to moving in to being good neighbors, we are delighted to be here. Thank you!!
Ballard on the Park made it easy to find my new home and explore my new city.
I Love OTP Great Property, Great Location, Excellent Customer Service.
I have lived here for just shy of a year. In mosy ways, it's been phenomenal. The office staff is professional, helpful, and super available since the office is open 7 days a week! They have planned events like holiday dinner, a dog costume party, and grab and go breakfast days where staff passes out breakfast by the exits. The amenities are well-maintained, as is the building in general. Improvements seem to be constantly added. The apartments are spacious by my east coast standards. Maintenance is responsive and even change your light bulbs for you. And perhaps the best perk of all is how little you hear your neighbors! There are a few small things I didn't enjoy, but none bad enough to make me not miss this place! Things like people standing below my window and smoking or that there is only one closet in my unit. The bathroom lighting leaves something to be desired as well. All in all, my favorite rental of the many I've had. If I wasn't buying a condo, I can't see myself leaving. I've nevermissed a rental before, but I'm pretty sure I'm going to miss this one!
Very clean, feels like a home not an apartment. Amenities are great they include a theater room, a library/ office, a very large 2 story gym, a beautiful terrace equipped with 2 large bbqs and patio seating, a nice large hot tub with showers on the side. Very friendly staff and maintenance is quick. The best part is the building is very secure and safe.
