Property Ratings at Bank and Boston Lofts
Seems like a fine place to live on paper but all the amenities are bad, laundry always on the fritz, communication is terrible. Move out costs are outrageous for no reason and all they do is milk out money from all residents. Their model is based upon screwing over residents for extra money at every turn and they are not in the business of the residents. Do not move here

Hello, thank you for sharing your feedback. Our loyal residents help us grow and become a better community. We apologize if at any time you felt our customer service did not meet your expectations. Any concerns expressed or that may have been previously missed, we would certainly take the time to address. Any resident can submit a service request for laundry machines that are in need of repair through their resident portal. Upon inspection of an apartment after a resident moves out charges are assessed and determined by the result of this inspection and appear in each resident’s final account statement. If damages need to be addressed these charges will be deducted from their security deposit. I was unable to locate your information in our customer records to get an opportunity to look into your feedback more specifically. Please contact me at ICanHelp@aircommunities.com so we can assist further. We look forward to hearing from you. - Susan
Do not move here. Management is some of the worst I’ve ever experienced. Communication is either non existent or incomplete and rude when you do get a response. For maintenance, the doors were always broken which lead to safety issues and people entering the building that were not tenant (homeless people on the street, namely). The place constantly smelled of smoke from other tenant. Noise complains were never addressed. Laundry / Dryers were always non functional or left your clothes smelling worse/damaged. Elevators were consistently non functional. My move-out experience has been HORRIBLE. I have been charged almost $1,000 in move-out charges that I can not get help or even an explanation from the building manager (I have called and emailed for days) or the parent company, they are even ruder and couldn't care less about their tenant's wellbeing or even treat you like a human. Look elsewhere and DO NOT give these people your money if you want to live in a building run by people who actually treat you like a human being

Hello. Thank you for providing your feedback. We apologize if at any time you felt our customer service did not meet your expectations. Any concerns expressed or that may have been previously missed, we would certainly take the time to address. I am surprised to hear our maintenance team was not responsive to your service requests. They are praised by so many of our residents and can complete most service requests within 24 to 48 hours. At the time of move out damages are documented and photographed. When an apartment is not left in good condition, damages are assessed and charged and are reflected in the final account statement. In Bank Loft's’ lease agreement, all additional charges or fees are provided. We would like to address your experience here at Bank Lofts more directly. We would need your contact information to look into your feedback more specifically. Please feel free to reach out to me at ICanHelp@aircommunities.comso we can discuss further. - Susan
Would not recommend to anyone. Over priced, no amenities, and awful security practices. I have been threatened by someone in the lobby who was not a resident, their procedure in today's world is for residents to call a security team or police if they feel unsafe or don't recognize someone as if that's not going to lead to someone getting someone hurt because they don't recognize someone. It is incredibly easy for people to sneak in. They say there is on call security but if someone was to follow you in.... you'd have to call security and hope nothing happens before then. The elevators never work, it costs 2.50 every time to do laundry at the min settings for wash and dryer. The people who work here are nice but AIMCO doesn't allow them to actually fix any problems. Also there is just constantly things going on late at night or early at morning in this area downtown with people yelling, fights starting, police being called, etc. and they really even address it. The other day there was like 20 cop cars outside at around 10 at night because some residents decided to try and get the guy who was yelling obscenities to stop through their own means. Honestly you pay way too much and get nothing significant to make it worth it. Literally terrible experience living here.
Before you think to yourself “oh it’s just because this person is bitter they were careless and damaged the apartment” hear me out. Because they specifically told me there were no damages. They simply tacked on a bunch of charges (e.g. move out service fee - $20, wear and tear painting- $79). The deposit that was returned went from the original $400 to $132. The painting fee, they claimed, is in my lease, but they were unable to point it out. They essentially are just going to nickel and dime you for any opportunity to take your money. Again with no damages, and that’s their words. So if you want your security deposit back when you move out, I’d reconsider living here.

Property Management is unresponsive and sends unable to help with any issue. They also kept a security deposit I was owed back. They've told me that I'm owed this money but they haven't been able to return it to me in over 2 YEARS.

I have been living at Bank and Boston lofts for 6 months now and honestly have nothing but good things to say about living there. The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming, the maintenance team is phenomenal ... I've never lived at an apartment with such Speedy service! The apartment itself is beautiful as well. The open layout of the kitchen and living room apartment make the apartment feel very spacious and the giant windows and old-fashioned brick walls are gorgeous. The location is also perfect...you are right next to 16th Street Mall and a few blocks from Union Station. The thing I love most about the location though, is how safe I feel. I feel very comfortable, even at night time, because of how well lit the area is and how much police security is around. Overall, I could not be happier with my decision to live at Bank and Boston Lofts and honestly feel like it is the perfect fit for me!!

Thanks for such an awesome review! I'm glad to hear how much you're enjoying living here! -George
Just moved in this week and love it. It's so great to be in the busy downtown area and feel safe to walk just about anywhere. Apartment size is really pretty good, windows are awesome, brand new appliances and beautiful hardwood floors. I worked with Taylor in the office and she was fantastic. Price is definitely right if you don't mind doing without common area amenities like a gym and pool.
This is one of the best deals you're going to find downtown! The location is amazing - steps away from 16th Street Mall and the Performing Arts Complex, close to Union Station, walking distance from Coors Field, etc. The other review says parking is a big hassle, which is true, but I don't even feel the need to own a car with how easy it is to get around down here. If you do have a car, parking isn't included in rent so keep in mind that it's going to be a big extra expense. Cats and dogs are both allowed here which is great, but there is a large deposit and extra pet rent per month. No common areas! No pool, gym, rooftop access, etc. This was one of the big downsides for me with the building. There are plenty of gyms nearby within walking distance. It would be cool to have somewhere to congregate and meet the neighbors, though! My apartment itself is a good size and very comfortable and inviting. Large kitchen area and bathroom. I have a large floor-to-ceiling window overlooking the center courtyard so the natural light is amazing. I don't need to turn any lights on during the day. My apartment gets hot in summer, but during the cooler months I barely had to use the heat as it seems to be very well insulated. Central air and heat both work well and quickly when I do use them. Generally my utility costs are quite low (none included in rent, but I've never paid more than $30 extra for gas/electric). Hardwood floors, granite countertops and open floor plans give the apartments a modern feel, even though the building itself is quite old! The hallways, laundry room, lobby area definitely feel dingier, but it doesn't bother me as I don't spend much time there. It's not a "luxury" building but everything works and is kept up. The cleaning crews are only here weekdays so I've seen some trash in hallways/elevators on the weekends, but it's always promptly cleaned up by Monday morning. Maintenance seems to be around a lot and they've been responsive to my requests. Office staff has also been friendly and helpful. Leasing process was a breeze. The building is also secured access so there aren't any people wandering in and out from the street. Long story short, I've really enjoyed my time living here and I expect that I may renew my lease once the year is up. The location can't be topped, and I'm certainly willing to give up some of the more luxurious amenities of other buildings nearby to live downtown at this price point.
I love this place! It's in the heart of downtown - one block from 16th st mall and the Light Rail, a short walk to LoDo and Union Station, and there is always something to do! The building I live in (Boston Lofts) is an old bank so some of the apartments have old steel vault doors as their front door. There are marble stair cases and walls in the common areas. Inside my apartment there is exposed brick and piping to give it that Urban feel. My windows might be my favorite - they are huge arches that over look the National Bank. I have never heard my neighbors because the walls are thick cement. The maintenance team is very prompt and the staff is super nice and responsive and the whole community is very pet friendly! There are some downsides, however. The blinds are awful and don't keep out the sunlight. There are no amenities such as a gym or pool. The worst part is the fact that there is no parking, so, you will have to pay between $150-$200 a month to park nearby. It can get pretty loud sometimes as sirens go by (but that is to be expected when living in the city). All in all, this place is amazing and the pros hugely outweigh the cons!
