Property Ratings at Baringer Manor
Property agreed on a 4/1 move in date. I had an emergency trying to move out of state and advised I wasnt be able to keep the apartment. Things ended up righting themselves within a few days and they said they'd already rented out the unit so I asked if they had another unit available and they had one in May and I asked if I could move my application to that property and just come take a look at it and Joel said yes. He kept saying it was occupied and I kept inquiring and he'd get back and say he was trying to communicate with tenant and would get back to me and I kept reaching out seeing if he'd heard anything and then he gets back today 10 days prior to the unit being vacant and says its rented and there's another unit available at the end of the month. I was in line for this apartment and when I asked how/why it would be rented already when I applied he said I backed out of the previous apartment and they don't hold apartments. I guess if someones in it its still holding it? So if you put an application in for a property here beware you may not even get it even after they tell you that you will. I know I had a situation and had to back out but if they were going to pull this and wanted money down to hold it they should've said so and I wouldve done it. Very shady non communicative place.
PROS -beautiful space, wonderful tall windows let in lots of light -traditional floor plans, mine had a separate dinning room which fits my lifestyle -the bedroom was at the back of the apartment away from any guests -great location, sits a block away from Bardstown Rd., close to many other areas of the city CONS -the windows are incredibly old and it has horrible insulation, prepare yourself for a shocking LG&E bill -several times both cars in the garage and storage units were broken into, nothing was done to prevent these issues from occurring in the future. -maintenance ignores requests and complaints and does the bare minimum of any upkeep.
