A densely wooded suburb of Campbell County, Southgate is made up of a golf course, residential neighborhoods, and open land. Southgate is just a few miles west of the Ohio River and the Kentucky-Ohio state line. With Interstate 471 traveling directly through town, locals can easily get into Cincinnati, Ohio, which is just five miles northwest of town. Though Southgate is located in Kentucky, it’s closer to Ohio’s major metro areas! This place has a serious problem with German cockroaches. They travel from unit to unit, even if you keep your apartment clean, and infest all of your appliances. And the landlord does the bare minimum for this issue. They send a pest control guy once every two weeks who sprays the base board heaters and cabinets, lays down two sticky traps, and calls it a day. Do not move in here if you value you or your family’s health and well being. It’s not worth it.

So far I have found this place to be an excellent living space for me. I have asked for replacement of air conditioner and BAM !!! they came put in and done all in an hour. They are on top of repairs and any thing else that needs fixed. I can not Thank, Vickie enough in the office for her taking care of all my needs. She is excellent. The maintance staff is exceptional and do an outstanding job. I highly give them a perfect review.

This is the first place I’ve rented and I’ve had nothing but problems, the first couple months were good. Then I discovered mold in the apartment and after informing the office numerous times I finally had to call a building inspector for them to do anything about it. Now I have a plumbing issue they have been trying to get fix for a month now... no to mention the mouse problem and the new carpet already coming up. And stepping on dog crap every time I try to take my dog out to play is completely awful, my mom stays in a beautiful 2 bedroom apartment for 100 dollars less then I do for this one bedroom dump.

If I could give this place 0 stars that would fit more. Where do I start? The fact that there were holes in the corner of our ceiling? Or the fact that because of those holes, when our neighbors got bed bugs they came into the apartment. Or the fact that the exterminator would leave our furniture so soaked with the toxins they use that we had to stay out of our apartment for days? Or could I start with the rude landlord. Regina I believe her name was. I could be wrong. When we explained that they had the exterminators come so often we could not bring my beloved pets back to the home for MONTHS and needed them taken off the rent, she refused. People stole our laundry so often. There was a drug deal going on in over half of the apartments. They lie when you move out and state that we broke some closet shelves when there was only 2 shelves when we moved in (mind you both still intact when we left) they are now trying to charge us 200 to replace two shelves that never existed! Absolutely horrid place.
If you like condescending management, water being turned off every other week, the smell of weed heavy in the hallways, and police constantly being called. Best features of the place, for sure.

We've been living here for a year and a couple months and I can honestly say that the sheer ineptitude of management is mind boggling. When we moved here, we informed them of the fact that I am disabled and on immunosuppressants for Crohn's Disease so if there was a health/safety issue it needed to be addressed quickly. They insisted that wouldn't be a problem. Our lovely upstairs neighbors have taken to peeing out their window which then drips into ours. We've been asking them to do something about it for months and they have failed to stop it. We finally had enough and contacted the health department on Monday, today (Friday) we got a notice that our lease was not going to be renewed even though they offered it to us just a little over a month ago (we're going month by month because we were planning on leaving in January) and that we have a little over a month to be out or they would start the eviction process. Keep in mind, we have had absolutely no lease violations, no late rent payments and we've never gotten our electric cut off. We asked them why they were doing this and they said they didn't have to have a reason... so basically it's in retaliation for reporting them... which is kind of illegal. Unless you have absolutely NO OTHER OPTIONS, do NOT move here. If you have problems, there's a good chance they won't do anything to remedy it and if you try to get it remedied yourself they'll retaliate and you'll get kicked out. BUT, if you really like cockroaches, checking the yard for heroin rigs before you let your kid play, and a faint smell or cat urine and rot that permeates through most of the buildings... this is your place!
