Property Ratings at Baycliff Apartments
I had to move in on the 1st on a leap of faith that everything on the list that was agreed to between the manager, Harrold and I, would occur. I mean, when there is a three foot wide red fingernail polish stain in the worn-out carpet in the bedroom and it's so obviously horrible that no reasonable apt complex, especially a descent one, would bat an eyelash at replacing. So when Harrell said that he'd let them know about it and said that he was addressing everything else, no problem. I knew I had to move in quick. He did address a lot of the move in issues through out the year but the dishwasher was never fixed and a couple of sets of blinds stayed bent up. The new ones in my bedroom that replaced the old fallen down ones are about two feet short. The entire apartment carpet is worn out and has been doggied to death before me. There's no size restrictions on the dogs or leash enforcement so watch your step when you walk in the grass around the apt. Harrell helped with the a/c and disposal break downs, got the electrical socket fixed, touched up some dog chew marks in the wood and is a very low low key nice guy. The old management team just strung me along by promising once or on the floor, then Harrell got so he was going to do it himself, to nothing being done and I was complaining and putting the same work orders in every month. I felt like I should have been given some sort of reparations for renting an apartment that they would never have been able to lease in that condition to anyone who had had the time to wait. So I actually made them money while not having to put any cost into upkeep. The reply I got from them was nothing and the new mgmt company is that if I renew my lease, they'll take $25/month off to get me to stay (and I guess just forget that you feel like you were completely mislead and deceived during your entire first year their, on your own dime?). No thanks! Also, I'm not the only one who has moved out recently because of similar issues. New mgmt says they look at every work order personally but had no idea about my issue until I wrote on the order about my review. I put a list of everything on a work order with my rent on or since they took over in March, heard from them in July. Must have slipped through...
