Located at the intersection of Interstates 57, 72, and 74 in east central Illinois, Champaign deftly skirts the line between small town and college town. The University of Illinois largely defines the city, with nearly 45,000 students enrolled (the city’s population totals around 85,000); as a result, Champaign is home to a growing sector of tech startups and other entrepreneurial endeavors growing out of the university’s research community and recent graduates.
The rental market includes a number of highly affordable options, including many apartments under $600 per month. Expect your schedule to be packed with community events when you live in Champaign, from the popular and wide-ranging Boneyard arts festival to the Sweetcorn Festival in neighboring Urbana. As the hometown of late movie critic Roger Ebert, Champaign’s historic Virginia Theatre hosts an annual film festival in his honor.

We moved in 2013 , looking for secure place to raise family and we were lucky to call Baytowne our home for 5 years. Starting from the choice of the apartment with plentiful natural sunlight throughout the day, secured gateway entrance with24 hour friendly staff, amazing office staff that always cared like family, indoor gym n raquaet court, spa and swimming pool, beautiful lake with walking trails , community garden to grow own vegetables and flowers, it will be always cherished Thank you Diana & Team for caring this property so dearly Appreciate all the beautiful memories here Chirag

Thanks so much for the kind words Chirag! I couldn't be happier that you and your family enjoyed your stay with us. It was a pleasure having your family as part of our community! Best wishes in your new home and, if the need arises, be sure to come back home to Baytowne!! Take care and stop in to see us if you're in the neighborhood! Diana
I lived here as a graduate student. The extra distance from campus was inconvenient, but not enough to make it worth living somewhere else. The apartments are great, property is really well maintained, and the amenities were also fantastic. Most of the residents are graduate students, families, or older couples so it's generally pretty quiet. The office staff was always very accommodating. The complex also didn't try to rip me off with my deposit after I moved out, which was a nice change from past experiences...
