Property Ratings at Bayview Apartments
It’s cheap. With that being said, you get what you pay for. The walls of the apartments are thin. The units are very basic. There’s a waitlist for garage parking, have fun shoveling snow off your car. The driveways aren’t cleared as there suppose to, my car got stuck several times. The property manager smiles a lot, but that’s all that you’re going to get out of her. If you have a problem, she’s not going to do anything.
This property is set rate on Spring Park Bay and its close to everything. The management does an exceptional job and they are also very friendly. They have completed a major renovation and you might think the building is new. I think any one would enjoy living here. Lindsay in the office always is smiling. If your a caring and special person come check it out.
I realize that having just moved here I can only offer a limited review. However, I can always add more later if need be in order to give a more accurate assessment. I was disappointed to find only two reviews of this apartment complex. I recently moved here after 8 months of searching for a place that was safe, clean and cared for. I realize that different amenities come with different apartments so I can only speak to what I have. My amazing 1-bedroom apartment is a wonderful size with considerable storage inside the unit. Extra storage is available at a small additional cost. Parking is assigned both outside and in the garage. I am legally disabled but am ambulatory and drive. I neglected to alert management of this fact when I moved in and was, of course, assigned a parking spot further from what is physically manageable for me. After bringing it to their attention I was immediately assigned an interim spot closer to the main entrance until a permanent space was found suitable to my needs. Positives of living here include: 1) Beautifully screened-in balconies; 2) QUIET building -- it is unbelievably quiet. I never hear anyone around me--except perhaps on occasion while walking down the hall where some voices are heard. It is rare however. In fact, people who have visited have commented on its quietness. 3) New windows installed during updates are easy to open and shut. Wonderful for someone like myself with RA. 4) Fitness room with sauna that I hope to utilize 5) Outdoor pool located right by the lake with grills and more. 6) Basic cable included with rent. 7) Each unit has its own heat/central air. Heat is included with rent. There are other positives not listed here that are included in the rent that make Bayview well worth looking at. They are working at improving this complex more and more. I am happy to be a part of Bayview and can speak on behalf of several other tenants I've met who have lived here for years and said how much they love it here. The management has been wonderful and so has Alex who maintains it. Love the scenery, the area and the fact it is close to Wayzata, Excelsior, Mound and other close communities. And, of course, it is right on Lake Minnetonka.
I did not end up moving here but the apartment I looked at was exceptional. Huge closets! Very nice layout. Lovely screened deck. If I were staying in this area I would definitely consider it.
We have lived in this apartment complex for years (close to a decade). Beautiful location on Lake Minnetonka. Completely ruined by an office manager who is unresponsive, cannot handle confrontation, unorganized, works probably 50% of the time she is in the office (the rest is spent on cell phone and internet). Place was sold recently and new owner decided to renovate every inch of the complex all at once -- with NO notice to residents and no compensation for our misery. In fact, the "you CAN'T DO THIS or you'll be ASKED TO LEAVE" memos on our doors have doubled recently. Construction noise from early morning until at least 5 p.m. every single day. Nap time for kids? Unimaginable. Invasion of privacy almost daily. When complaints are brought to the office, they are ignored or met with "it's harder on me than it is on you" types of responses (if anything). Very disappointed that we will probably have to leave this beautiful location because of office/owner incompetence. Maybe we'll come back in a few years when the office manager is gone and the construction is completed. However, at the rate they are raising our rent, probably won't be able to afford the place.

Dear Alias Maia- First of all thank you for all of your years of residency here at Bayview! Living at Bayview for almost a decade you know that there had not been any construction and the building was very neglected. Today under the new management we have new windows, new siding, new high efficiency chiller (no more loud squeaky belts), new high efficiency boilers, new hallway energy efficient lighting, newly painted hallways, updated office, new screened-in porches, new stairs leading to the docks, new top of the line Woodway treadmill, new Weber gas grills, new patio furniture and umbrellas, new outdoor LED lighting and we are currently working on resurfacing the upper parking deck and landscaping around the property. The amount of notices to your door have doubled to give you notice of things going on and remind you of the rules of your lease. Issues that come into the office are addressed in a prompt manner and complaints are heard out. If your privacy is being invaded daily I would really appreciate you bringing this issue to the office to be resolved as we make every effort to respect the privacy of our residents and we are attempting to minimize the construction interruption to your living space.
