Nestled on the Great Egg Harbor Bay, Somers Point is brimming with natural beauty—from tree-lined residential streets to the lovely waterfront John F. Kennedy Park. Although Somers Point is just minutes away from the vibrant atmospheres of Ocean City and Atlantic City, residents enjoy a laidback lifestyle and affordable cost of living.
The city’s bayfront location defines life in Somers Point. Locals delight in ample boating, fishing, and crabbing opportunities in addition to numerous fresh seafood restaurants. First settled in 1693, Somers Point’s charming historic district is also near the bay, exuding a classic New England vibe along Bay Avenue.

Property Ratings at Bayview Court Apartments
I have stayed at a lot of Apartments in different States, and I would definitely rate Bayview Court one of the best places to live in. Scott who runs Bayview Court is doing a great job along with his staff. The place is clean the apartments are amazing, and very safe with security systems in place. I would recommend this place time and time again. The next time I’m in Somers Point I hope they have a Apartment for me , I wouldn’t stay any other place. Again thanks Scott and staff , keep up the good work. Keith T. Mac Ewan
My fiancee and I have lived at Bayview Court for 2 years now and it's been great! The apartments themselves and common areas are clean and well kept. The few small issues we've had (nothing major, just small repairs) were handled quickly and professionally by maintenance. Sometimes parking can be a little crowded near certain buildings but there is always a spot to park in. Everyone in our building is pretty quiet and keeps to themselves. They have a zero tolerance smoking policy which is very much appreciated and enforced well. This is definitely the nicest apartment complex in the area and the location is great.
I have a 40 pound dog. Now that I am trying to pay for the dog, they are JUST now telling me, that dogs can only be 25 pounds. The manager is telling me to get her out of here by tomorrow. But, no where in the lease I signed does it say anything about the weight of the dog. Nor were told that they need to be 25 pounds until just now when I'm trying to bring my dog in. The lease & web site both say both nothing about weight restrictions. I tried to pay the $235 fee. She saw my dog and gave me my money back starting that I need to get rid of it. I don't want to get rid of my dog. She's a total sweetheart, wouldn't hurt a fly, never barks unless someone won't stop knocking at the door, and loves to sleep. She won't be a problem here. If they told me in the very beginning that I couldn't bring my dog, I would have never moved here in the first place. But, now that I am here, I really don't want to move and want to get this resolved peacefully but the landlord seems to be against that.
Let me say this review is long overdue and much needed! I grew up near Somers Point and this particular area has been a little on the rough side. After my initial encounter with a young lady, I believe her name was Maliah, I wanted to come back and give the place I knew another glance. Bayview Courts has been revived! The renovations look amazing so far and the young lady was so professional, knowledgeable and courteous. I must’ve asked her the same questions about 3 times and answered them in depth each time. I’m just floored at how this place has turned around!
The people that run this place have to be the most incredibly rude and disrespectful people that I have ever met. The customer service is terrible. I get an attitude every time I go to the office to pay rent. You would think that they would at least act like it wasn't such a bother to accept payment (which is always early, by the way). I submitted a maintenance request, and went to the office to follow through after it had been several days and nothing had been done. I was assured that it would be taken care of, however it has been 2 months, and still not fixed. The apartment itself is nice, although incredibly hot all of the time, but that staff make it not worth living here. If I knew this ahead of time, I would have thought twice about giving these people my hard-earned money.

My apartment itself, is not that bad. I have a lot of black beetles, spiders and centipedes. But that's not the issue. The common areas are FILTHY. The laundry room is DISGUSTING. The renovated areas seem to look clean, but I live in an area they haven't renovated yet And they don't seem to care to keep it clean. There are holes in the walls, ceilings. Some areas have leaks. Entrance to laundry room has a big puddle that is always there. If I didn't know it was there already, I could of easily slipped and fell. That's a lawsuit waiting to happen. I moved here out of desperate need and lack of time. Would I have came here? Maybe after It's renovated completely. The renovated side looks like the suburbs while the Unrenovated side looks like the projects.

We are sorry you’ve had a bad experience, we are diligently making an effort to keep all common areas and laundry areas clean during renovation. We have since signed a contract to have the common area hallway walls repaired and painted as well as replacing the hallway carpeting in addition to the already replaced automatic lighting. Once completed, we will have a porter on site to keep all common areas tidy.
I've been here since 2007. Since the new owners took over its a very nice place to live. The renovations are turning out to be awesome.

This place has changed owners for the 3rd time. I've been here since 2008. I moved here on a special and so far no one has told us to move. The apartment I'm in is a two bedroom. It's a pretty big place.
