I'm a happy two year resident at beach walk apt. The studio is a perfect size for me and updated so nice. The location is amazing walking to the zoo and beach and all the shops and restaurants so close by. The management and staff are so helpful and friendly. It's also quiet safe no mail issues and no bugs or rodents. So happy I found this place.

Beachwalk is located in a vibrant location full of restaurants, bars, and the beach. A 10-15 minute walk isn't too bad especially since Fullerton (the closest stop) has 3 different lines to get around the city. For the apartments, I've got to say what wins me over is both Ms. Kennedy and Scott. They've been so helpful and quick with helping me out whenever a problem arises. I love them.

DO NOT MOVE TO BEACHWALK APARTMENTS. I promise you will regret it. The entryway may look like the place has had a fresh coat of paint, but there are so many disgusting and unacceptable issues with this apartment that building management should be ashamed. From an ever-presence putrid smell in every hallway, to cockroaches, drain flies, and other assorted bugs crawling around, to other tenants that clearly smoke in their apartments and get drunk in the lobby and harass you, to an incompetent leasing office, the list of issues is never ending. Do not give these people a dollar of your hard earned money.
I’ve been living at Beachwalk for 4 years now. Granted it’s a very old building so there is always work to do but with Scott as our maintenance guy, he’s been very helpful whenever I submit an inquiry or have a question. Love the location!
It is good for what it is. Location-wise, I think it is very desirable.
Waited 25 minutes in the cold past my scheduled showing time and had to call twice before I was greeted. Then I was told the unit I was supposed to tour wasn’t actually available and the only ones left were more expensive. I would avoid wasting your time with this company.

Yeah this complex needs help. One people keep stealing packages and with cameras being in place that should not be happening. Also my experience with maintenance has been ok. Some request are done perfectly, but most or not done correctly and takes to long to complete a request. This could be a very good place to live, but there has to be more order for it to be way better than it is now.
This place is awful! The elevator hasn't worked in well over a year, I've had many packages that were stolen, the remodels are poorly done, people constantly park in your assigned parking spot that cost $200 a month, and my laundry was stolen out of the dryer! I sent an email to management and asked what they're going to do to prevent stolen packages/laundry with no response. Also, note that those 5 star reviews on google were done because the past property manager (Ashanti) would constantly ask the tenants to write them!

Hello Jason, thank you for taking the time to share your living experience at our Beachwalk Apartment Community. At TLC Management Co. we take our resident's concerns very seriously as our goal is to provide an exceptional living experience for all. As we are in the process of making great improvements at this community, we apologize that our passenger elevator is expected to be down for another few months. While it may not be ideal, the freight elevator works perfectly fine. We understand it can get stuck on a floor at times if the door isn't shut correctly. The elevator company has been out to investigate this issue. For parking, if residents let the property manager know when there is a car parked in their spot, we call to get the vehicle removed, and the towing company comes within 15-20 minutes. We have sent a mass email to all residents about parking, stating that if you do not pay for assigned parking you will be towed. We haven’t put our towing on patrol, because of the number of vendors and contractors we’ve had there recently but will continue to monitor unauthorized vehicles. For packages – all packages are put away before the end of the workday every day. We are not liable for any lost or stolen packages. We’ve sent a mass email about this as well and have contacted IT regarding ensuring our security cameras are working. We also are working with all postal carriers to ensure they utilize the parcel pending lockers as instructed to reduce theft. We are happy to speak with you further regarding your concerns. One star and zero if I could. Beachwalk does a really great job at saying the exact right thing to keep you consoled and doing the absolute bare minimum. The lobby updates etc. look nice, but overall the building is still in poor condition and things don't work properly (elevators out, breakers always need flipped, laundry works properly about 50% of the time). Unfortunately not a good experience here at all.

This is my full experience living here for all of 2021 as my first apartment. I'll relay the good and the constructive criticisms. Keep in mind this is before they renovated the entire building. The good: getting the lease was easy, the view on the 4th floor was nice with a lot of natural lighting, the space was nice enough size for me as one person as I had a studio, and the security is nice. Packages get stored properly at times, despite getting previous tenants mail repeatedly and getting a lot of promotion/advertising junk all year round. The manager and staff are great and the location is convenient. You'll never go hungry with all the restaurants, bars, pubs, it's a central hub for people to eat. Along with spas, beauty salons, and gyms. Being next to the park, close to the lake, and near the zoo is a nice perk with plenty of fresh air and walking options. Public transport is nice and close by and for the most part, little to no violence that I've experienced in the area. My rent was also far more affordable before the sudden 1.5X jump in rent which they can do if they wanted. The bad: Elevator and freight elevator break down randomly every other week, the bathtub gets clogged and fills up after heavy rain and doesn't stop no matter how much drain cleaner you pour into it, plus using the sink to clean dishes also somehow fills the bathtub up with gunk, washers and dryers on every other floor do not work properly all the time or not at all, animals next door randomly get noisy for long periods of time, I had a small fridge while the new apartments have full size fridges (so slightly jealous of new people coming in), heat and water will stop if extreme weather happens outside, getting a personal car parked is expensive, and a personal complain was the freight elevator broke completely so I had to carry all my things down the stairs to move out when my lease ended. Verdict: If you can afford the price, it is worth moving in. And with the new renovations, things could be a lot better than what I experienced. Despite it being my first place to live independently, was still worth putting up with the small inconveniences.

The location of the apartment is great. There isn't any noise from fellow neighbors so that's good too. When I moved in there were some problems that needed to be fixed. One of the outlets is dead and that makes it hard because there's only two outlets in the apartment. The sink isn't tight so its hard to wash dishes and the handle is very loose. There is a major ant/cockroach problem that I have to constantly worry about and that just makes the overall stay at this apartment terrible.
Very Accessible To Public Transportation, Grocery Store & Restaurant Available, And Park & Beach Within Walking Distance!
