Located in Stamford's South End district, Harbor Point is a beautiful waterfront neighborhood along Long Island Sound. In addition to Harbor Point's apartment communities, this mixed-use area features restaurants, shops, office space, a boardwalk, several parks, and a variety of marinas. South End features a large historic district, and some of Harbor Point is included. The district, which dates back t0 1868, includes nearly 450 buildings.
Harbor Point is a terrific Stamford neighborhood. It is only about a five-minute walk to the Stamford Transportation Center, one of the city's largest railroad stations. The peninsula borders I-95 along the north side, and the vast and beautiful Kosciuszko Park occupies the southern tip of Harbor Point. This seven-acre, waterfront park includes ball fields, a playground, walking trails, and picnic areas.

Property Ratings at Beacon Harbor Point
Rodents in my apartment! Infestation that was there from Day 1 of my move in! Disgusting! Horrible experience living in this place. Would give 0 stars or negative number if I could.
my husband and I have been living in the beacon since april 2021 and our experience could not be worse. the sign of the whale is right across the street and the music from the bar blasts every.single.night. we are so miserable here and building management will do nothing even though BLT owns both buildings and rents to sign of the whale. we have complained SO MANY TIMES. we call the police nearly every night and i've even reached out to our district representatives who also say 'nothing can be done, keep calling the police'. it's really upsetting that this is how tax dollars are spent with police monitoring a bar's noise level nightly and several times a night. it's even more upsetting to pay the price in rent we do for a 'luxury' building and to endure this noise. we are counting down the days until our lease is up and we can move.
Consider other apartment buildings. The building community management staff and BLT have repeatedly disregarded our requests to address dangerous debris falling onto our balcony. After nine months of complaints we were told that there is nothing that can be done to fix the issue, and that the building was unwilling to take additional measures to increase safety on the balconies. Very disappointing management and customer service.
My husband and I recently got married and on our honeymoon we went to a Sandals resort. It was perfect for us since we had never been on a luxury vacation before where we could relax, literally everywhere. Living in Manhattan, you get a small slice of real estate and that's it! We were so happy to go on vacation where there were so many places to sit together and enjoy each other's company. When we decided to move out of the city, we found that Stamford had some awesome rental options. We took a day to visit all the apartments in the Harbor Point area. We were looking to get more for our money. We had a small 450 sq foot 1br but in a perfect neighborhood, overlooking a park. We wanted something that had a perfect location to walk our dog, take walks at night, and also some nightlife and stores to walk to. We visiting some of the other apartment buildings, 111 Harbor Point, the Lofts, etc. We were somewhat impressed with what you can get for your money...a pool, a gym, laundry in the apt, new appliances, etc. Then we made our way over to the Beacon at Harbor Point. That's when we really saw ourselves living in Stamford. Even the lobby almost took my breath away. Everything is so visually appealing and it even smelled nice, like a spa! The gym is gorgeous, the pool is amazing, and it reminded us of our honeymoon, so many common spaces to sit and enjoy the wonderful views, fire pits, sun, boats, etc. It was everything we were looking for and pretty much the only thing that could pull us away from our perfect neighborhood of the Upper West Side. Since we have moved in, I wake up everyday thinking...I can't believe this is my home. The common spaces are beautiful and my apartment is perfect. The kitchen has amazing brand new appliances and the quartz counter tops are amazing. I have the best view and balcony. I literally feel like I am on vacation. I definitely recommend it for those leaving the city and want more space and more for your money!
I was drawn to this building by its location directly on Long Island Sound, proximity to the train station, amenities, size of the apartments, appliances and the fact that it's brand new. All of these things have lived up to expectations. Of course it's early and it could soon wear off, but it almost feels like living in a resort. One thing to keep in mind is that given everything this property offers, it's no surprise that management rolls out the red tape upon your arrival. There are countless rules about what you cannot do, especially if you're a pet owner. New rules are also suddenly thrust upon the community at management's discretion. As would be expected, many tenants choose to ignore the most arbitrary rules. Rather than reassess about whether they're actually necessary, management will, among other tactics, post announcements to the online portal reminding tenants of the rules and calling on us to self-police, which we're not paid to do. All of this might sound like the management experience borders on Nineteen Eighty-Four status, but honestly this particular management company (the parent company of which is also responsible for the Harbor Point construction project) actually stands out quite favorably to others in the area. For these types of properties, the introduction of seemingly rigid rules designed to maintain a certain quality of life for the community as a whole is most likely a necessity. To that end, I was expecting a level of bureaucracy coming in, which is why I merely outline the management experience rather than let it impact my rating. Potential tenants may want to consider how they would function in such an environment before committing. If you're still interested, you won't regret living here. Even if you're still a little weary you may find the good heavily outweighing the bad. Aside for the property and all it has to offer (which is about as incredible as you might expect), there's a lot going on around Stamford's South End. The development throughout the area is turning the corner from a mere vision to an executed reality and it's exciting to be a part of that reality.
