Chicopee is a large suburban community bordered by Springfield to the south and the Connecticut River to the west. Gorgeous historic architecture dots the landscape, from the Baroque Revival-style Basilica of Saint Stanislaus and the Romanesque Chicopee City Hall to more subdued structures like the Edward Bellamy house. The city is home to Westover Air Reserve Base, which employs many locals and attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors every year for its annual air show. Serving as a sort of bridge between Springfield and Holyoke, many folks who work in these neighboring cities choose to live in Chicopee, including many who work or study at the region’s many colleges.

Property Ratings at Beacon Square
I spent quiet sometime in theses apartments. To be honest I was not happy, the apartments are way to small to be paying such high price. Also if you leave the apartment they don’t get in contact with you, they don’t let you know if there are any changes that were made. The laundry room is way to expensive per load. Good luck doing the dishes in the sink it the size of your hand. There is smoke in the halls. There is not much space in the closet. I am glad I left it wasn’t worth paying the high price for something small.
Thin, cheap floors construction, you hear the person/people above you stomping around!... Rude noisy neighbors! Rude pet owners! Unsafe, dark parking lot, LOCK YOUR CAR DOORS!!.... I've found things in my apartment (scratch tickets on the floor) that were left behind by ??? someone who entered my apartment without permission or notification!.. Room was filthy, NOT clean when I moved in.. Very disappointed!!!!!!?
I love my apartment. It's pricier than some others in the area but it's worth it! It's so cute and clean. Heat, hot water, and cable are included and its pet friendly so my cat is allowed. The manager was very friendly and helpful from the start and has made me feel very welcome. Neighbors seem to keep to themselves for the most part which is a definite plus. All around this is a great complex.
Our honest experience here: Heavily overpriced for the 325 sq feet of space that you get, and noisy! My boyfriend moved in March 2017. Neighbor's dog barks early in the morning for hours on end. My boyfriend and I have complained three times already to the property manager. The property manager can only "talk to them". The owner has apparently tried a lot of different things to stop the dog from barking but as of June 2017 it continues. After complaining and being told there is nothing more that can be done other than both parties being evicted, we are writing this review in absolute frustration and also to warn others. Also, there was one morning this week where we woke up to what sounded like some kind of saw cutting through metal. We figured out later that they were just doing apartment renovations two doors down, but it would have been nice to know we were going to wake up to that. The property manager did apologize for this. This place seems more geared for someone who works a traditional 9-5. The building is kept clean. Unless you are willing to enforce the "quiet enjoyment of your apartment" with a lawyer and document everything, save yourself the frustration. Don't move here!
Where to even begin? From the very first email with Kim at beacon square it has been a great experience. Our situation was a little unique as we were moving across the county from California and we were unable to meet in person beforehand. Kim worked with us and let us take care of everything via email and over the phone. Upon arriving, we were felt so welcomed. We have two miniature dachshund and there were always goodies in the office available for her and of course a cup of coffee or lemonade for me! Being new to the area Kim and Kenny the grounds keeper were very helpful, from letting us know about the near by eateries to tips for our first New England winter! If we ever had questions or concerns Kim and Kenny were there for us. Kenny was quick to fix any repairs that need to be done. (We have only need one, our toilet chain broke) We also felt we didn't have good air circulation and expressed our concerns. The next day Kenny showed up with a brand new air filter/fan which worked great! They always went above and beyond for us and our pup. They always made us feel at "home", despite being so far from home. I high recommend this place to anyone looking for a great place to live!
I actually love my studio apartment. It has heat hot water and cable included and my property manager is super sweet and helpful. We have a dog park and they're pet friendly. I love it there!
Been living here for almost a year now. Kind of high for me for a studio but worth the price. Very kind management and staff.
