TLDR: I really wish I could rate this place higher, but now that I moved out, it is clear that this is a rough area. Safety and parking are the main reason I gave this place 2 stars. This place is okay if you work from home, but others beware. Here are the details: Cons: - Noise - The above apartments do not have carpet in the living/dining area. Although this looks nice, you WILL hear your above neighbors. Carpet on the higher floors is usually a standard for that reason. I don't know why they aren't for carpet. - Gate - There seems to always be something wrong with the gate as I've seen one of the two main gates left open over night constantly. - Thievery - Mail is the biggest problem that I had. Our mailboxes and parcel systems have clear signs of someone taking a crowbar to them and forcing them open. The front office will not hold onto packages that are bigger than what the parcel system can hold. So, they'll deliver it to your door and someone will steal it if not picked up immediately. - Parking - Do not live here if you get home from work after 5pm. There was already a parking issue in the past, but it got worse quite recently (why I left). There use to be four types of parking: garage parking, covered parking, normal parking and visitor parking. Garage and covered are not included in any unit. You must pay an extra monthly fee to use them and they are not cheap. They just recently took away some of the normal parking to add premium normal parking for only $50 per month and just made the parking experience disastrous. Pros: - Pest Control - I read another recent review about bug infestations. I never saw that in my building (bldg 2). I only saw like 2 cockroaches my entire time living there and my cat took care of them both times. My guess is that guest was living nasty. - Living/Maintenance - The apartments themselves are not bad in any way. Any problem I had, the maintenance crew was quick to act. - Amenities/Events - This team actually tries to set up events. Although I've never been to any, I will give them credit for doing their best to keep the community active.
It is the worst apartment complex I have ever lived in, noisy neighbors, dirty areas, apartment flooding, roaches, crickets. The managers do nothing to improve conditions.
The apartments are decent but the area is rough. Lots of petty thievery in the area and when you go report to the leasing office they “write an incident report” honestly it didn’t even seem like they did just seemed like they said that to make me go away. TMy car has been rummaged in overnight, there was an attempt to steal my rims and my chained up bike was stolen from right outside my unit. Parking is also terrible. They need the parking to be maybe 1.5x the size it is to be comfortable. I hardly feel comfortable having more than a guest or two over due to this issue. Also they towed my car without warning one time due to parking in a lane that had the most faded lines you could barely make out in the daylight let alone the night.
This place has a serious roach infestation. I have been battling to get rid of the german roaches in my apartment for 5 months and i am absolutely disgusted by this property in general. I have had various fumigations but the office could care less whether you are living in an unhabitable environment. Now i have to go through the headache to terminate my lease early or suck it up till its move out date. !!!!!!!!!!!!STAY AWAY FROM THIS ROACH INFESTED PROPERTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I recently moved in to my unit and love the place. I had several maintenance issues and they were addressed promptly. The management and staff are very helpful and I've even had them call and check on how things were coming along. The property is kept clean and the neighbors get involved with community activities. I have enjoyed the environment and can't wait to take a swim in the pool. These apartments had all the upgrades I was looking for in my search. Great place for family! #333
Been with the complex through several management transitions over the past six years. The team now however seems to be moving in the right direction. The upgrades are nice and modern, and hopefully I will get to enjoy one of the renovated units in the near future
moved in four months ago and things have been great. Maintenance has been fast and friendly. I rent the largest of the two bedrooms and the floor plan is far superior to anything in the area. The wrap around balcony is my favorite part. I got a partial upgrade and not having backsplash in the kitchen isn't a deal breaker, every appliance was new. Parking can be an issue some nights but there is covered or garage parking available for a monthly fee. We also pay our own water which was a shock at first, and hot water runs out at peek times. I've seen a few roaches in the kitchen but this is Texas. Raid solves the problem. I can't wait to see the new weight room and haven't had a chance with the pool since it's still so cool. Neighbor's are usually quiet during the weekday. A little more lively on the weekends but seems more families live here than anything. No gunshots at night it seems pretty safe and the neighborhood seems up and coming. Can't speak about the schools because I am unaware. Overall 5/5!
Both the management and maintenance staff are equally great. They are always attentive to the residents needs and prompt. I rent the smallest of the one bedroom and it is the perfect layout, even with my energetic boxer pup.
This apartment is by far the best one in the area. The property is always kept clean. Everyone is friendly and polite and management responds to all request in a timely fashion. Their online resident portal allows online rent payment and residents can submit service request right from your phone without having to call or visit the office !! I’ve been staying here for a year now and I must say, I Love living here. Our apartment and it’s Patio is Amazing. I love the stand up shower in my Master Bedroom bathroom, and my huge walk in closet even my kids bathroom has a closet in its also it’s a wonderful size walk in closet my patio is huge which is a plus for me because my children love going out and playing with Their toys. the bedrooms are big for me and my kiddos and we’re glad to call Beckley our home. It’s a quite community at night and neighbors are nice and very friendly. I love these apartments and don’t plan on leaving anytime soon!!!

I’ve been staying here with my kids for a couple of months now and I must say, I Love living here. Our apartment and it’s Patio is Amazing. I love the stand up shower in my Master Bedroom bathroom, my wonderful kitchen with lots of spacious cabinets, my patio is huuuuggge which is a plus because my kids love going out and playing with all their outdoor toys out there. All of the bedrooms are perfect for me and my kiddos and we’re glad to call Beckley our home. It’s quite over here and all of my neighbors are pleasant and the kids over here are very well behaved and mannered. By far the best apartments I’ve ever stayed in, the only thing I’d suggest for them to do would be to have more free parking spots and to put more trash bins closer in the apartments. I stay on the 3rd floor already which isn’t a problem but I don’t like having to walk so far away from my apartment just to throw away my trash. Soo if they would look into that, I’d be even more happier then I already am staying here. Overall they’re Great!!!

We recently moved into the Beckley Apartments. The apartment was truly upgraded/remodeled – all new appliances and carpet! We really like our apartment inside and out. The leasing staff was a pleasure to work with. We had a minor maintenance issue that was addressed and resolved immediately. We are happy with our choice; it’s a really nice apartment community.

I haven’t had any real complaints while living at Beckley. Yes, the parking is terrible, you have to be home by 6:30pm or else you won’t have anywhere to park. Also the trash/dumpster area could use a little addressing (residents send their children to take out the trash who then leave the trash on the ground outside and around the dumpster). Other than that I’ve had a pleasant stay. Much nicer and safer than other communities in the area.

The worst thing I ever did was move to Beckley apartment. Parking is horrible and the apartment is cheaply made. I hear outside noises inside the apartment, also I hear my neighbor's talking, walking, and ever other noise all time during the day and night. Please take my warning as a blessing, don't move to Beckley Apartment. You will be sadly disappointment.

I've been living at Beckley for almost 4 months now. I haven't had any issues with Management. If I need something fix its done within 24hrs. I also had an electrical emergency within my apartment, and maintenance came within 30mins at 1:00am. So yes, I would recommend someone to live at Beckley's.

As mentioned, I moved here last month coming from North Dakota sight unseen. I was a little unsure when reading reviews of the previous management company, but whatever it was before it has changed! Since moving in, they have fixed any issues promptly and with a very communication positive attitude. Today they fixed a slight water leak that I reported yesterday afternoon. Love the unit and staff interaction. Dasia, Susana, Janet and more. They have helped make my transition to Houston a breeze. The only problem moving here is if they run out of units to rent! -Luke

Formerly known as "Beverly Wilshire", now "Beckley". I have been a resident here since 2013 & things have always been tolerable... it has definitely always been one of the nicest communities in this area as far as floor plans, finishings & environment in comparison to everything else around here & the fact that a company such as Knightvest deciding to invest in this community with their added million dollar investment renovations/up-grades that include the beautiful finishings you see, (laminate wood flooring, 2 inch faux wood blinds, granite countertops & stainless appliances; doesn't at all fix the lack of professionalism when dealing with any of the leasing office staff; there's a certain level of nonchalant, lack of professional communication & specific job roll incompetence, that has been consistently the issue at this community before & during the new management/ownership change which took place November 2016... I actually considered transferring to a renovated apartment here since I planned to move after being here for 4 summers anyway, just for a change, but after being told 2 different procedures for transferring & being advised by one of their agents to commit fraud (by making fake paycheck stubs) so that they could capitalize off of me transferring for bonus reasons I assume), that was a huge turn off for me on a professional as well as a consumer side with me being in the property management industry as well; I'd never advise a prospective resident or a current resident to make fraudulent income statements in hopes to secure a lease or maintain occupancy goals (?!). A series of fair housing, customer service & professional leasing courses need to be carried on from the community manager down to the leasing agent I sincerely advise: might I add it really sucks that this is really a nicely finished place with the new renovations but the office staff is so unprofessional, unwelcoming & carelessly nonchalant when it comes to treating their long term residents with the same honor & respect as they do their new residents that they are moving into the newly renovated apartments. ( Something to think about after your 1st lease agreement is up).. Bottom line: I am more concerned as a professional whether than a consumer; the protocols & procedures I've experienced were extremely alarming & honestly I am in total shock of how I have been treated.

unresponsive maintenance team. self absorbed office staff. while several residents here are cool and mind their own business, there are a few here that are so terrible in this small community, that it effect the rest of us. They are rude, loud, alcoholic, dirty. there is one dumpster and 1 trash compactor. When this was managed by another company these areas were cleaned everyday. Now, there is always more trash outside the dumpster and compactor than inside. I never saw feral cats at our property until this became an issue. Raccoons, possums and rats are not making a regular appearance here.
