Murfreesboro is also home to Middle Tennessee’s only Museum of Natural History.
For those who enjoy cultural events and entertainment, the Murfreesboro Center for the Arts hosts concerts, live theater performances, and more. Enjoy the local events around the city, such as the Main Street Music Jazzfest and the International Folk Fest! Murfreesboro’s local university, Middle Tennessee State University, is growing just as quickly as the city itself. This top-notch institution is known for its programs in aerospace and music, and adds to the artistic charm of Murfreesboro.

Property Ratings at Belden Reserve
I’ve lived here for 2.5 years now. After being here for 1 year and prior to renewing my last lease, I left a 5 star review on these apartments. I’m giving it two stars because of the PROS that I’ll list first and it’s only fair, but they truly deserve a one star rating. PROS: Spacious apts. Maintenance is fast, awesome and caring! CONS: 1. I have to transfer jobs to another state. I went to ask them about breaking the last two months of my lease. Previous management said it was possible with proof of transfer. The girl in the office Krystal tells me that I can pay $150 and an additional two months to break it IF they’re able to find someone to rent it. I only would’ve had two months left. Lol ....I told her about the previous conversation I’d had before and she pulled out my lease and proceeded to tell me that yes it’s in the lease but I would’ve had to pay extra rent in order to enforce it. I don’t want this on my credit report so of course I’ll pay, But it’s funny because the apartment is a Three bedroom and the comparable apartments out here are going at a rate than what I pay now. $300 more. It’ll just be unoccupied until August. 2. I go out to sit on my balcony and noticed a wasps nest. I called the office and once again Krystal answers the phone. When I told her my issue, she LITERALLY SIGHED and asked me what apartment I lived in. You could tell that she was EXTREMELY annoyed by my phone call. She put me on hold, and then comes back to tell me, she added me to the pest control book and will have them sent out on Thursday, 2 days later. Why people like her take customer service jobs when they clearly don’t work well with others is beyond me. Bause I’d like to enjoy the time on my balcony TODAY instead of later this week, I made the decision to go buy something and remove it myself. I had the same problem last year with previous management and they sent someone one the same day. It took 5 minutes and the maintenance man was done and gone. 3. I moved here in 2016. We have valet trash out here. They say you’re supposed to set your trash out between 6 and 8p to have it picked up. Trash containers are to go back into your apt before 9:00 am the next day or you’d be fined. This is a joke! Since 2016 the neighbor that lives directly across from my apt has NOT brought her trash can in. NOT ONE TIME in 2.5 Years. She doesn’t even bag her trash up. They do not enforce the rules here.
Property Manager at Belden Reserve, Responded To This Review
Thank you for sharing your feedback. Customer service and resident satisfaction are our highest priorities and we are sorry to hear that you are not having a positive experience at our community. Would you have a moment to reach out to our Regional Office at 615-849-8398? We would like to discuss the issues you shared in your review. Sincerely, Belden Reserve Apartments
False Advertisement! I called corporate but no one has reached out to me. I also went to the office, but the manager said that she was to busy to talk/help me. I haven’t even stayed in my apartment for three days. I just moved in Saturday (two days ago). I had two black bugs in my apartment and spiders. They promise a “garden bath tub”, but I have a regular tub. I also was suppose to have two storage closets but I have one. I can’t even take a bath because my drain is broken. I have a leak under my kitchen sink. The base of my door knob is hanging off. They want you to raise you renters insurance to $300,000. Make sure you read your lease! THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT YOU BEFORE YOU SIGN YOUR LEASE, AFTER THAT THEY FEED YOU TO THE DOGS.
There are tons of fruit flies in our apartment and we complained many times. The pest control person told us that there is a fruit fly problem in the entire building and that there have been multiple complaints but nobody does anything about it. We asked them to check surrounding apartments for the source but they don't seem to care at all. We can't even cook in our apartment because of the flies. This has been the most miserable renting experience we ever had.
This is very odd for me because I usually only write positive reviews but I wanted to warn people about a specific agreement they have for breaking lease. I'm very disheartened when writing this email, as I am a new mother supporting my newly relocated family in TN. We have moved to Murfreesboro from TN thinking it would be a good fit, long store short; Murfreesboro is a very long commute for being 28 miles from city. The commute into Nashville would easily take 2 hours during rush hour. As for the apartments, they are nicely taken care of and staff are very friendly. We made the decision to break our lease because of commute and the city not suiting us. They gave us the option to pay the break lease and either pay 2 months and break lease fee or turn in keys and have them post it online until it's rented, "if someone rents it then we won't be liable for remainder of rent". Of course, this sounds fantastic in hindsight. Someone immediately rented the apartment, so they removed from website, when I had called the following Monday, they realized the person no-showed. We unexpectedly owed that months rent, and it hasn't been posted on website since. My family and I are now in a horrible situation knowing the will not bother marketing it for us. My company offers legal aid as an added benefit to employees, so I asked them to review the agreement for me. When I looked at break-lease document, it doesn't mention what we agreed to about them posting the apartment. The apartment was well maintained and staff are friendly but don't take this option without caution or proper expectations.
Best renting experience I have ever had. Staff extremely friendly.
I lived here before and I LOVED it! So, I came back, but however I've never dealt with such DIFFICULT and RUDE new people in the office. They honestly don't even know what they are doing. Especially when I make sure they have what they need from me and in the end they don't do their part to make sure they got what they need. I do my part, now do yours! I shouldn't have to deal with an attitude when I'm nice to them to begin with. A apartment should make you feel like you are welcomed, not as if you shouldn't belong there. New management sucks! They get one star bc I like how nice and mordern it is in my apartment.
I have been living at Belden Reserve for about six months, and appreciate the amenities. Being a minority, it is refreshing to have the diversity here that we do. However, on this past Martin Luther King Jr. Day 2016, my son, a kindergartner was off of school, and he asked to have two of his friends over. After playing outside and exhausting some energy, we went back inside. While the kids were playing, my downstairs neighbor came up and requested we keep the noise level down. (All three boys were sitting at the table eating pizza) I assured her that it was only temporary and the kids would leave soon. The kids left around 5:30pm my son was asleep by 7:30 pm. Noise regulations state that between the hours of 10 pm and 7:30 am are quiet hours. Instead of inquiring more or looking into any reports, the management assumed that the complaining party was correct and left a first notice for violation at my door. This is unacceptable treatment, and it makes me wonder what kind of people are managing my location. If they jump to conclusions about this, what else should I expect in the future. I hope in the future, someone on staff calls myself or my husband and treats us like adults. We pay our rent each month and for six months have had no problem. We should be allowed to live in our home and my son should be allowed to be a kid.
We are so pleased living at Belden Reserve! The staff is extremely friendly and helpful! It's very convenient to everything you want to do in the city, and only 30 minutes from Nashville!
I have never lived in apt before. I love it. In the city but not it is like livng in the country very quiet clean maintenance is always out girls in the office are wonderful we have any problems there right there. This is a nice place to live I'm very happy.
Love my apartment, very spacious and nice. Trash pickup does not come everyday as stated and parking spots are limited but overall I live in a great apartment.
I currently stay in Beldon Reserve Apartments and it's an excellent place to live. The living environment at Beldon is very quiet and an relaxing place to stay. I love how everything is built brand new with a unique design in every apartment unit. I plan to stay at Beldon Reserve for the next couple of years.
