Property Ratings at Bell Gateway Village
They did not clean the unit AT ALL between tenants until the morning on the day of our move in and the cleaning took all day so they didn’t even let us in until late in the afternoon after we had supposedly paid rent for an apartment starting that day. When we finally got in the unit, hardly any maintenance on broken fixtures was done (so much for the maintenance fee they charge upon move in) and we immediately found a HORRIBLE cockroach infestation throughout the apartment (like 50 of them were found alive within 2 hours of being there). The office lied to me directly and said the unit had been treated for bugs between tenants, and later in the day they admitted that was false because pest control only comes on Tuesdays and the previous tenants hadn’t been out for even a full week. They were so greedy for rent money that they didn’t even leave a week of time to fix the apartment up, and they didn’t even bother checking for bugs, which would have been very hard to miss if any effort was being put in at all. Even now they won’t give us any help other than saying that normal pest control will come on tuesdays to get us out of their offices. Terrible management, terrible company, terrible apartments. And everyone else here is so right about the gross stained hallways too
**PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE MOVING IN HERE** My experience at Gateway Crossing Apartments has been terrible. 1. The management is deceptive, rude, and unhelpful. 2. Parking is very poor as most of the parking spots are unavailable after 8 pm during the weekdays. 3. We left our apartment in very good condition and yet we were unfairly and unreasonably charged absurd amounts at the time of moving out for normal wear and tear such as chipped paint. 4. Towing is enforced very aggressively which causes major problems for unsuspecting guests. 5. The staircase is very dirty and has oil, grease, and dirt smeared everywhere. I wouldn't recommend these apartments to anyone because of my terrible experiences.
My boyfriend and I had moved in late August 2022. Since then, we have had our vehicle broken into TWICE!!! The first time it happened, we were parked along the side road (outside) of the apartments perimeter, the backside. Keep in mind, parked directly under a light post, and 5 feet from the entrance of the first floor renters door. Nobody heard a thing.. that was two weeks in of being moved in.... THEN... After the damages were fixed, we got the vehicle back and parked it INSIDE the apartment complex. Again, under a bright light post... BROKEN INTO AGAIN!!!! This time with an electric drill. Did anyone hear it? See it happening? No. Of course not. We have made two police reports. One week later, on our new vehicle, the truck had something wedged into the driver side door. Seems like a marking for them to hit this truck next? I don't know but there are ZERO CAMERAS around the facility and the staff have nothing to say about it but "sorry". Why is it that we are paying So much in rent, yet.. we can't get a camera or two on each building? We want to move. We don't feel safe. This isnt safe. Neighbor's to the left, right, and above us are constantly fighting. I get it. Renting has it's up and downs but THIS constant breaking in has us on edge. We can't sleep at night without going outside a couple times from the second floor without checking our vehicle's. Please management. Do better.
Don’t let these reviews fool you. I lived at this place for 5 years. I recently moved out in July 2022 because this place is a joke. Management is horrible and ever changing, the grounds are dirty and unkept, there is a pest problem (ants and roaches), there’s dog poop EVERYWHERE now (the stairs, pool area, and in front apartments)and so much more. It’s hard to maneuver around the complex now due to so much construction around the complex. So many longtime tenants have moved out now because of the horrible treatment from the management team. The day I moved out there were 7 other residents moving out the same building as me. It’s sad to see this once precious place go downhill so rapidly. Also, they are now trying to charge me almost $100 fee for carpet cleaning, when my lease states that a carpet cleaning fee is only charged if the carpet is left damaged. I have been emailing and calling for almost 2 weeks now asking for photographic evidence that my carpet was damaged and no one has gotten back to me yet. I have photos and videos on the state/condition I left my old apartment in and there’s no carpet damage at all. It was cleaned very thoroughly. Do NOT move here if you enjoy having your sanity.

This is worrying to hear, as we pride ourselves on providing an excellent living experience and overseeing a fair and equitable move-out process. I will look into the disturbances you've described and ensure they are being appropriately addressed, but I also want to follow up on your concerns and get you the documentation you need. I will look in our records for your contact details, but if you're willing, please consider giving us another try. Thank you, Michael - Property Manager - 972.527.8600
I really wanted to like this place. But as the months go on, I'm counting down the days when my lease ends. When I first moved in, the unit was infested with cockroaches and it took nearly a month before they were gone. There's always trash and dog poop littered everywhere around the apartment complex. There are rats crawling around the pool area. And the smart locks on the gym malfunction at least once a month. So we can't enter/use the gym because it takes them days or weeks to fix it. And we're paying for these "smart" features. I used to not think I need a gated community but one time a homeless man tried to get into the gym by banging on the glass doors and windows. I was definitely spooked. The one good thing is that I haven't had any issues with their AC and heating system.

I'm sorry to see that you're frustrated. Of course, we want our residents to have a more enjoyable experience within our community, so I apologize that this isn't the impression we left. We never want to inconvenience our residents, so I'll share these comments with the team in order to improve moving forward. I would also appreciate a chance to discuss your pest control issues so we can make sure these concerns are properly handled. Don't hesitate to get in touch with me if you have further questions. Best, Michael - Property Manager - 972.527.8600
Finally, we moved out on May 29th from here. Especially after winter storm damage occurred in our unit, we were so ready to move out. Anyway, I got everything cleaned and left it clean as well as I can. I cleaned the carpet in both the room and the closet. Clean every room, kitchen, and bathroom. You can see it from the attached pictures. And we received a bill stating that carpet damage and another cleaning, a total of $574. Other than having some stains due to the coffee split on the Master bedroom carpet, there is nothing damaged to the carpet.. They should change the carpet anyway due to my apartment getting flooded during the winter storm and people walking on the carpets. They never replace nor clean the carpet because did not get too much water I guess. We had a very hard time with them getting the apartment fixed after the winter storm. They never replace the ceiling light/fan fixture in the living room. We lived without a working fan in the living room almost for 14 months, so who is going to pay for the failure to repair it. I think they need to deduct it from the charges....... The ceiling is not evenly painted. Different shades between colors. The last attached picture shows some damage and repaired ceiling. And now they are charging us $574 for carpet damage and some cleaning charge. We understand if you charge cleaning, etc.. fees but not that high. That is unfair and unnecessary. Isn't the management's job to relay the carpet after a tenant moves out? We cleaned the bathrooms, kitchen, floor, and fridge as well. Painted some spots on the wall. I do not think anybody lives in the apartment as clean as we did. I submitted the move-out form 2 months ahead and no one showed up to verify the status than at the end when I moved out they send me a bill. They are just good at fooling you as they want to get the carpet replaced at your cost !!!! Not to mention that smells of weed everywhere, the lawns are all muddy there because of the water from the sprinklers, stains marks from the trash on the hallway and stairs....

I am sorry to hear about your negative experience with us and that your home left you with a sour taste in your mouth. We will use this feedback as an opportunity to improve for our future residents as we truly want them to get the most out of our community. As for the charges for the carpet cleaning, I would be more than happy to step in and answer any questions you may have. Please give me a call if that is a conversation you'd be willing to have. Thank you, Michael Bell - Property Manager - 972.527.8600
The construction is wakes me up before my alarm does. It has made my work from home life very stressful because it’s heard throughout all my meetings and calls. The amount of noise is so painful and sometimes frightening when you least expect it. The hallways floors are sooooooooooo filthy, the stained concrete is just nasty, it’s a but embarrassing to invite anyone to your place. I wish they could power wash all the concrete as often as they send out parking and trash emails. The dog Owners don’t pick up after their dogs. The grounds are not kept nice. The “management” is very carefree. There is no parking like ever. And they want you to pay extra for parking within the complex that should be for everyone. My apartment is cozy because a home is what you make it but everything around it makes it so chaotic. I’m currently typing this to the tune of machines pounding concrete when I really just wanna nap.
NON STOP CONSTRUCTION. The smell of weed is everywhere, it's disgusting. I'm over it, smh. If I could give 0 stars I definitely would.
Gateway Crossing is great, Very happy with the apt. The apt complex is quiet an clean and very convenient that its close to the highway.
I’ve lived here for 7 months and my experience has been subpar. Maintenance never completely fixes the issue, the office never answers the phone or emails, they’re keeping 98% of the amenities closed probably to save money, the outdoor lighting is complete trash, I have to use a flash light walking outside when it’s dark, the apartment walls are paper thin, you can hear your upstairs neighbor breathe, and the fixtures and faucets are very cheap. The only plus side or living here is that the rent is pretty cheap for the area but I believe I understand the reason why with all of my complaints above.
The new management is lazy and full of excuses. There aren't any amenities, Everything is closed. The grounds aren't as nice anymore. No flowers. The grass is dead on the Gateway side. The hallways are dirty and nasty. The door knob to the carport is always very loose. There's a huge dumpster that's been sitting along side my building for months blocking the pool. The pools are never open. The box for packages has been moved behind the office where there aren't any parking spots or sidewalks leading to the front. It's extremely dark and unsafe to walk to the back of the building where no one can see you. Maintenace never fixes anything on the first visit. The heating/AC system flawed, to put it mildly.
Gateway Crossing is horrible the management is condescending and very useless and the overall condition of the property is terrible
Apartment quality is decent, everything else is subpar.
Gateway crossing is definitely an amazing place to stay I absolutely love it here. My apartment is perfect exactly what I was looking for in a apartment. The only thing that is bad I would say is the Parking its almost impossible to find a spot after 6pm Monday-Sunday its crazy !!
Gateway Crossings makes me feel very safe. The staff are all very kind and helpful.
The apartment themselves aren’t bad but you will not ever be able to find parking. Also my car has been towed twice even with a parking pass. The apartment staff is extremely hard to contact to resolve this issue.
Very nice quiet community, convenient location, friendly staffs, good floor plan and appliances, reasonable rent price.
New resident , love the apartments. Front office just needs better communication and efficiency on doing things. Maintenance was great
Not only are the apartments phenomenal, but the grounds are well taken care of and the staff is very supportive!
Gateway from the outside is beautiful but the inside walkways hallways are disgraceful
I love living here, its close to a lot of stores which I love and its so peaceful! The apartments are so beautiful and always get compliments from friends and family.
3 year resident no complaints when it comes to Maintenance service
I have been at Gateway Crossing for about 5 months now and this is the best decision I’ve made thus far when it comes to living. The office staff are AMAZING. They are always so quick to respond and fix an issue or offer solutions, and they are so patient when answering questions. The maintenance staff are quick to respond, efficient, very professional, and explain things very well. They are always improving the amenities as well as offer tons of incentives. There’s a virtual program that offers fitness, arts & diy, cooking, trivia, & things for your kids as well. They have food trucks come out once a month for all the residents. The pools are beautiful, the fitness center is great, and the working lounge is awesome! If you’re searching for a place to call home, THIS IS IT!
New building with great amenities. Perfectly located in Plano. Cleanliness was the priority for us and it lived up to our expectations. Leasing and moving-in were fairly easy compared to many other apartments. The staff was excellent and friendly. They handled every situation professionally.
Gateway crossing is a stylish and modernized apartment community that is extremely well put together. I love everything about my apartment and the staff that helped me move in was beyond helpful!
Ive been in this complex since 2017. Whenever I need help regarding my apartment or apartment related issues they are pretty quick to help me out. I have referred this complex most of my friends who are looking to move out to here. Good work!!
My move in was so nice and simple Itzel made it super easy for me she answered my million questions I had she was very patient with me I absolutely love her professionalism, I recommend anyone that's looking to move into this complex to ask for Itzel she's one of a kind! the complex it self is perfect nice and quiet area totally clean .
My experience at Gateway Crossing has been great. Both management and maintenance staff are courteous and professional, and service is always excellent.
Park at Gateway used to be a great community before it was sold to BH Management. I miss the attention to detail that was paid to the property & grounds prior to the sale.
Well maintained luxury apartments. Excellent admin and maintenance staff. Very good location. Parking is a problem sometimes. But there's garage or car port available for extra money.
I have been living at Gateway Crossing for a few years now. I love it. The property is beautiful and feels safe. I love my floorplan. I feel that I get a lot of value for what I pay. I love that I can walk my dog at any hour, and there are multiple beautiful paths I can take. I have only needed maintenance a couple of times but each time they have been prompt and courteous. I moved from one side of the property to the other, and the experience was seamless. Planning on staying for a few more years and would definitely recommend.
The apartment community has been quite the experience to live in. The administrative staff has been absolutely great, understanding, and absolutely generous with us with all the perks, credits, and discounts that we received since we moved in. This honestly has been the sole reason why we have always renewed with this apartment complex! I've always appreciated just how attentive and professional the ladies in the offices have been with us. There is honestly a share of issues that are due to the fact that we used to be mixed in with 2 other apartment complexes. There are triples of building numbers and this can cause massive confusion to people delivering packages or food. Once this issue is solved I have nothing but good things to say for this location. I also look forward to the perks from the merger with the complexes once the pandemic is past us.
I love the maintenance and the cleanliness of the property is great! Only wish is for more parking spaces
I love the fact they fix what I asked for in less down 24hours. I was shocked on how fast they responded.
This is a great convenient property overall. Large and can quite active at times, but decent for the most part. Unfortunately due to COVID19 ruling the world I cannot experience the amenities. Hopefully that will change before my lease is up.
Nice community, please clean the stairs and the hallway
Gateway Crossing is by far the best place Ive lived. They are clean, professional, efficient, and always respond to matters in a timely manner. You cannot find a leasing office as great as theirs. The apartments are nice and spacious & if issues do arise, the maintenance team is on it right away!
We have been living here for 5 years and we renewed our lease for another year as we really like living here. The leasing office staff and the maintenance staff are all great! They are very friendly and always take care of us.
I love calling the Gateway Cossing home.
The maintenance department is so nice and prompt. They are always on time and courtesy.
Gateway crossing is already a gem in my book and Ive only been here a month! From the deals to quiet neighborhood to ample parking and being so close to 75 , its amazing! The staff is always very helpful even during the pandemic! From Brandi the manager down to maintenance everyone is so nice, helpful and proactive! Id recommend this property to everyone!
Great place to live!
I have only been here less than a week but this place is AWESOME! The leasing assistant Ive dealt with (Marbin) is phenomenal and answers everything in a timely manner. She is very professional. The maintenance crew have gotten my work orders completed literally within 2-5 hours of me submitting them. 10/10 recommend this place.
I love it!!
Maintenance is very poor.
Gateway Crossing is a great place to call home. Friendly staff is where its at for me, and the staff at Gateway is just that!
The staff is really nice and professional. They are always there to help and to answer any questions or concerns.
I have lived at Gateway Crossing going on 4 years. I was not an apartment dweller but when I sold my home I chose Gateway. My apartment is laid out like a house. I have been very happy here. The complex itself is great but the management is what really makes it a super place to live. Maintenance staff is very prompt and they get the job done. Office staff has been very nice to work with. In fact, due to the Covid virus, I actually miss being able to just drop in and say hello.
Good community with modern amenities. Lives up to the title of "Luxury Apartment". Good maintenance staff as well as management. My issue is with loud noise coming from upstairs when people upstairs have loud music. Also the garages below make the entire floor to vibrate when a car arrives. And people seem to spend a long time inside the garage with the car engine on for some reason.
Overall the apartment complex is very busy. There are a lot of people moving in and out all during the day and night. It seems that everything echoes through out the parking lot and buildings. You hear everything !!!! The walls are kinda thin or is not insulated very well. We continuously hear and complain to our upstairs neighbor. They are so loud. We can even hear them using the restroom.. If you are a person that just sleeps at your apartment and maybe cook a meal from time to time. Its a good place for you. If you are a person that likes spending time at your apartment watching movies, enjoying your apartment and needs to go to bed early.. THIS IS NOTTHE PLACE FOR YOU. Again, did I tell you that my upstairs neighbors are SO loud.
