Property Ratings at Bell Lofts
My time at this apartment has been nothing short of traumatic. Disintegrating walls, horrific flooding with dirty, bug infested waters, electric problems costing my thousands. Everything is broken or in disrepair, and I feel unsafe living in my current conditions. No maintenance is EVER done, and calling the property manager incompetent would be the understatement of the year. Negligible is much more fitting. The apartment itself is attractive, but issues existed upon move-in. The apartment was in disrepair, and promises to fix it were broken instantly. Will NEVER rent with this company again, and if you value your health, sanity, and wallet you shouldn't either. I cannot understate it enough: DO NOT LIVE IN BELL LOFTS.
These apartments are really cool. Tons of space, 18-foot ceilings, balconies, decent kitchens, and a great location. That being said, DO NOT live here. The management is the worst. I had no idea who the property manger was the whole time I lived there, because they were constantly hiring someone new. The building-wide fire alarm goes off about once a week in the middle of the night and the only elevator is broken more often than not. Good luck walking up and down ten flights of stairs if you live on the fifth floor like I did, and the back door forces you to walk under the grease vent from Bailey's Range. Maintenance essentially does not exist. Be prepared to wait a few months if you want something fixed. I was really wish I could recommend this space to someone, but until they make some drastic management changes, this place will continue to make tenants miserable.
This property is own by a company, managed by another company and maintenance is hired out by another company. Therefore if you have a problem at least three parties are involved before any action is taken. I moved in a month ago and they haven’t fixed my washer and dryer. The washer and dryer is been sitting by my door for a week now and yet not installed. The common areas are run down, dirty and the floors are all scratched out. The good things: if you like the smell of burgers the restaurant down stairs is excellent and the grocery store is across the street. With that said if you are planning to move any furniture make sure it’s wrapped in plastic because the stairs are located right below the restaurants kitchen extractor and grease is built up everywhere.
