Stretched along the Mississippi River, Saint Louis is the second most populous city in Missouri. Regarded as the Gateway to the West, Saint Louis was the starting point of Lewis and Clark’s infamous expedition. Saint Louis’ most iconic landmark, the Gateway Arch, is a memorial celebrating the nation’s westward expansion.
In addition to its rich history, Saint Louis offers residents access to exceptional amenities and culture. An apartment in Saint Louis affords you the opportunity to climb sculptures composed of reclaimed building materials at the one-of-a-kind City Museum, or watch the Cardinals play ball at Busch Stadium.
Hit the town and catch a performance at the Fabulous Fox, or indulge in some retail therapy at the massive Saint Louis Outlet Mall. There’s incredible architecture to admire in the Washington Avenue Historic District, or you could experience the flora and fauna on display at the Saint Louis Zoo and Missouri Botanical Garden.

Property Ratings at The Residences at Bella Vista
Everything is still the same as the reviews from years prior. My biggest concern is my safety as well as the tenants. We have no locks on the entrance and exits doors. So imagine walking into your building and drug addicts and homeless people are sleeping on the steps. Myself and other tenants have complained numerous times as well as called the police with no changes. Employees from Mcdonald come and sit..eat and smoke weed and would leave the trash in the halls. However we the tenants get emails about tenant violations.
Property Manager at The Residences at Bella Vista, Responded To This Review
Thank you for your comments. You are correct, there are no locks on the entry or exit doors, however, the ownership group is reviewing bids to see if this is something that we will do in the future. Unfortunately, unless we know at the time of the loitering or the police department is called out, there is not much that we can do to eliminate this. We are adding additional cameras throughout the property to assist with identifying those that are loitering or doing alleged illegal activities. The SLPD does have access to our system and it has helped in the past tremendously. Again, thank you for your feedback and along with your assistance, we look forward to making Bella Vista a better community for everyone.
Oak Park has been terrible from day 1. I move in to issues that should have been taken care of before move in. Where do I start? First, i didn’t have usable dishwasher for 3 months. My leasing lady requested that I use My towels to clean out the one that was in the apartment because it had a terrible smell. The maintenance supervisor was here on 3 different occasions and just when I thought things were getting taken care of....he was disappointing as well. Although he did fix the other issues in the apartment the main issue (dishwasher) was left undone on all 3 occasions. They keep charging for gas when I pay spire directly. And they try to hit me with a fee every time as well (50$). I address the situation and the leasing lady tells me that I have to get in contact with their collections company for their mistake. They do too much here and I don’t mean that in a good way. Lease at your own risk.
I am a current resident here and I’ve only been here a month. I want to start by saying the leasing office staff has been very kind and professional but my complaint does start with my leasing agent. When I first came and looked at my apartment I was told that an extra bar area would be put back up in the kitchen for more counter space because that was a concern of mine. I was ok with that. AFTER I sign my lease she tells me that they don’t put them up anymore but every other apartment that I saw had one. Hmm. Then after I move in I find out that the dishwasher is nasty and had sitting water and silverware stuck to the bottom. I go to the leasing office to make them aware of the situation to immediately be told that the maintenance has to handle emergencies first and that it could take a while to get my situation taken care of. I gave a verbal timeframe of a month. That’s when I expected that all my issues should be taken care of. She said that’s more than enough time. Here it is a month later and I still have no bar in my kitchen and I still don’t have a usable dishwasher. People told me before I came here that this complex was trash but I moved here anyway because of the great rental promotions they had going. I said I’m going to give them a chance. I’m disappointed. I’ve been told by the maintenance man that they would bring me a dishwasher on 2 occasions during this month. No call no show. If I could turn back the hands of time I would have not come here. It’s already terrible and I’ve only been here a month. Lord help me with the remainder of this lease!

I have been here for 5 months I have mold in my apartment shower kitchen sink and dish washer keeps over flooding I keep getting lied too and the whole nine I wouldn't move out here if I was anybody that wants a home that is comfortable and worth paying rent
I signed a 1 year lease here and when I first moved in the stove was broke, mind u I pay for gas ,roaches was every where. It was so bad I had to bomb the place with roach infestation killer . I had a service request put out for the A/C because the air didn't work also and my electric bill was running up. My mailbox keys stop working after a month of me being there, so I had ask for new ones and still didn't get in my mailbox and it's July now . They gave me three sets of the wrong keys. I locked my house keys twice In the apartment and I called during normal business hours and they said that they didn't have keys to get in but able to get in to spray or try and fix the oven after telling me they was giving me a new stove. They moved all of my stuff out without notifying of eviction even though I was behind I was still making payments and it wasn't 30 days notice on the door . I would recommend not moving here not to mention the noise above me . Everyday sound like some kid was bouncing a ball in the apartment above me all day when I was off. Emergency maintenance said they only come out for fires which doesn't make sense , I would immediately call the fire department to put out the fire not the leasing office. DONT MOVE HERE WORST PLACE TO MOVE .
I contact the Better Business Bureau and got them involved do I need to say more! And I never rented from these people went in to apply and it was more money being asked for from that point on out. When I chose to not rent from them I found out my deposit money order was cashed and had to wait 30 days to receive an check and they kept 150 of my money for some admission fee I wasn't aware of till I was approve for the townhome but seeing how they move I wouldn't recommend no one to rent from these people. Ripoff!
lease, please, do not move here. If you do, be sure to take photos of everything when you move out. Also, make sure when they show you the display apartment that you ask them to show you the REAL apartment that you will be living in because it will look nothing like the display. There will be trash in the hallway (which they advertise as "designer hallways"), it will smell of marijuana, no screen on your window, but when you ask them about that they tell you that if there wasn't one there when you moved in you would have to put one in yourself. Also, be careful because there are apartments broken into weekly. A woman was killed there about a year ago. Cars stolen, tires slashed. My apartment was broken into at night and when I called the "emergency maintenance" because my door had been kicked in, they told me that I had to wait til the next day to have it fixed. So I had to stay in my apartment all night WITHOUT A DOOR!! Really? When I moved in the oven did not work on my stove. I contacted them right away and it was two months before they got a new stove. I had over $800 in charges when I moved, most of which were wrong, but of course you can't dispute the charges. They sent me to a collection agency without ever notifying me of what I owed. I have hired an attorney, but in the meantime, I am posting reviews on every site I can find and maybe it will stop at least one person from moving into this place. Please people, do your research before moving in.
I live in Oak Park Village; I really love the staff and the way they attend to the needs of the residents.
I can remember the horrible things that I had read about the Oak Park Apartments, and even though they were just opinions I still took a chance. I love Oak Park as my first apartments. My one bedroom place is huge and for a very great price. I love my walk in closet, it's like a small storage room. The only issue I really had was with maintenance. They don't really get things done in a timely manner, but one of the managers named Ms. Denise made sure that the problem was solved. Even though I had minor problems, my stay at Oak Park was nice and I'm renewing my lease.
I reside at Oak Park Village and overall the experience has been pretty positive. I like the way the apartment management keeps the grounds kept up. Also there is security on the premise to respond to any issue. I think management could improve the complex by screening possible residents more thoroughly. In the past there were a few fights by the same troubled tenants but they eventually moved. So for the price I think it is worth a look.
