Property Ratings at Bellamay Grand Apartments
I have never lived in a worse apartment. See the headlines. I cannot get anything resolved. I send multiple emails with no response. They don’t care. They just care about new tenants. What’s worse is they will show you a nice apartment but the one you actually get looks NOTHING like the one they will show you!
This place doesn’t even deserve a star. Don’t even look at this place. Roaches EVERYWHERE! They claimed they did a cleaning in the apartment and walked thru one last time before giving us our keys. Well our move in day we got the WRONG key!! Walked into apartment live moving Roach in bedroom. Bugs and roaches all in the security keypad. Roaches all in the kitchen cabinets. Absolutely disgusting!! Staff is extremely rude and disrespectful! You won’t get your security deposit back. Unsafe for living! Was supposed to move in Saturday even had all our stuff in the uhaul got there and saw what we did. They claimed they would reach out to us by this Monday to discuss that they have gotten pest control there. They didn’t even respond to our email we sent Sunday. And didn’t contact us Monday or Tuesday. Absolutely terrible!! None of our belongings went into that Apartment thank gosh! Obviously we are not moving in.
Just moved in, staff was courteous and friendly when signing lease. Had an issue and went to the office to get said issue resolved, manager was completely rude and condescending. Was very out of line and overall very disrespectful. On her phone the whole time I was trying to speak with her. Find somewhere else to live, honestly the place isn’t bad but the staff is just not worth the time and frustration.
Moving to Bellamay Grand has been a regrettable decision from the start. The model apartments are beautiful, and the leasing agreements are competitively affordable. After documenting my bicycles on the leasing agreement and locking them to the covered bicycle rack located closest to my unit, my bicycle lock was broken, and my bicycle was stolen within the first month of moving in. After filing a felony report with the Alachua County Sheriff's Office, Daniela condescendingly told me that no one should not use the bicycle racks at Bellamay Grand and contemptuously stated that my story seemed implausible since I claimed that there are still other bicycles locked to the same rack that were not stolen at the same time. Theft inside of this gated community is obviously a recurrent issue because I have since seen other tenants post signs to this same rack, begging thieves to return their children's bicycles. The trash compactor is frequently broken, and additional dumpsters are occasionally placed in the parking lot--a charming and fragrant addition to the community's aesthetics. The computers in the club house office are not connected to the printer there, and upon inquiry with the staff, there is no resolution to make this amenity functional for resident use. Sometimes the key card to the fitness center will grant residents access, but many times it does not. The basketball court is in need of repair more often than it is available for use. The front gates of the gated community are functional some of the time, but the back gate for resident use is dysfunctional more often than not.
Burglary breaking in occurred during daytime at the Bellamay Grand Apartment a few months ago, period. Try other places if you can. Avoid this one if safety is your first priority.
They honestly don’t give me enough space to describe how awful this place is. I have lived in many apartment complexes in my life, and never have I experienced the nonsense, lies, and trickery that goes on here anywhere else. Beware of the staff here. They are nice and pleasant to get you to move in, but that quickly changes when you leave and you challenge them on wrongful deductions taken from your deposit. Then they become nasty and lie to your face. These people charged us $20 for hanging car tags they never issued us, and $35 for a carpet repair on a pre-existing torn patch the office knew was there. Obviously done by an animal, and we have no pets. We had informed the office in the beginning it was there, but of course now they play dumb so they can get us to pay for someone else’s damages. Also, maintenance and upkeep of apartments is nonexistent. Had a leak from the hallway wall into the carpet that was still going on when we moved out. Maintenance wasn’t even capable of figuring out where the leak was and how to fix it. Do yourself a favor and stay clear of this place.
These people keep contacting us for more and more money after we moved out and have settled any debts a YEAR AGO. The staff is clueless and has no idea what they are doing, as well as rude. They don't fix things.
The scenary and space is amazing. The apartment leasing staff and maitnence staff are wonderful. I love that its a gated community and all though its family and student oriented it's still extremely quite.
This is a quiet gated community with nice apartments located in a great area.
We just moved in about a month ago. We had maintenance in so many times trying to get things set up for my disabled son - but they never complained. The grounds are beautiful. The people in the office are always polite and helpful. Very happy here.
