Virginia Beach is a large city of nearly half a million people, perched on the Atlantic coast between Chesapeake Bay and the North Carolina state line. Supporting a thriving local economy of its own, Virginia Beach is also a popular home base for folks who work in neighboring Norfolk and beyond, largely thanks to the incredible array of things to do in your down time.
The Sandler Center for the Performing Arts attracts major national performers and Broadway musicals, as well as popular local and regional acts. Throughout the year, you can always catch live shows at Farm Bureau Live, the city's 20,000-seat outdoor concert amphitheater. During the summer, Atlantic Boulevard comes alive at night; family-friendly street performers line the street, and bands play at a number of stages set up on the beach, in parks, and on the boardwalk.

Property Ratings at Belmont at Providence
I have seen my last roach in this place! I’m sick of it! I have complained about it, but I was told my maintenance and the company they use (terminix) there was nothing they could do about it and “it’s just the area.” I know it’s not the area when I used to live 5 minutes from this property and never had this issue!!! Because of this I have been handling the issue on my own and I’m sick of it. I AM DISGUSTED!
This place has roaches and other pests. The trash is always overflowing so I guess that shouldn’t be a surprise. And parking is abysmal. It’s really not worth it. I would give it zero stars but since I can’t, it gets one.
Do not move out here unless you want to deal with paper thin walls and roaches the size of a small mammal. I can hear every move my neighbors make. I can hear them snoring at night. That is a problem. The roaches out here are massive. I keep seeing them. Now either one of my neighbors is really dirty or they are not keeping up with pest prevention. And of course I can’t forget the constantly overflowing garbage bins. Make no mistake, you are not paying for luxury in these apartments.
I love my apartment, I love the staff, everyone is extremely nice & helpful. I’m glad I chose Belmont as my home!
I lived here for about 6 months and the maintenance people were great every time we called for something to get fixed they came right away. The only issue I had was the parking it is very limited. Overall it is a nice apartment and you can tell they're well kept.
My husband and I had no issues while living here, it was after we moved out that we were charged an arm and a leg. They claimed our pets had urinated in several places around the apartment and charged us for the carpet to be replaced plus an additional $400 to "seal the subfloor". Our pets are litter box trained and were never allowed in the bedroom, where they claimed there was urine. I understand with pets there are times there may be accidents, but our pets were crated when we were not home & at night. There is no possible way they urinated in the places claimed. When we called to understand the charges, the rude woman in the office gave my husband the run around. I could understand massive charges if we had not taken care of the apartment. However, we are ideal renters that keep the space immaculate and crate our animals to prevent any damage. I am outraged no one in the office was willing to work with us and eliminate these bogus fees especially after we passed a move out inspection with flying colors. After talking with other friends that also lived in the complex, they had the same issues after moving out. Except, they were being charged for anything and everything this "business" could come up with. Skip the headache and robbery, live somewhere else.
Belmont at Providence is a joke when it comes to "luxury" apartments. The apartments themselves are nice, the staff are friendly, but the checkout process is ridiculous. Our apartment was spotless when we left (the staff member who closed us out agreed) and there were no new issues. We just got a bill for over 300 dollars, and that was after our 350 dollar deposits were factored in. The list that we were sent stated there was urine found in the bedroom. The urine must have been from the prior tenant, because our cats had never been in our room. We were charged for the carpet being replaced, as well as the entire subfloor being sealed. We were never shown any proof that urine was found, and no documentation was given as to why the subfloor had to be "resealed". Also, the final bill was sent and stated it was due 7 days from the date of receipt. The bill was dated for the 9th, and we didn't receive the notice until the 13th.
I wouldn't recommend moving here if you plan on having visitors. The parking is VERY restricted. At the beginning of each month, you are allowed 3 parking passes. Each parking pass expires in four days after you write the date on them. So essentially you are only allowed to have visitors park in the complex 12 days out of the month!!! That doesn't make any sense. Of course they don't mention this until it's time to sign the lease and they offer you the 2 months free...
