The Elkridge Hanover neighborhood consists of two unincorporated communities, Elkridge and Hanover. Elkridge is one of the oldest settlements in Howard County, dating back to 1734. This beautiful community features several historic sites, including Troy, which dates back to 1694, when John Dorsey moved to the property. Apartments in Elkridge Hanover provide easy access to parks along the Patapsco River, several golf courses, the University of Maryland-Baltimore County and Downtown Baltimore, which is roughly 10 miles northeast. Arundel Mills provides a wide variety of shops and restaurants as well as entertainment venues such as Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament, a Cinemark movie theater, Dave & Buster’s, and the casino.
Neighboring Hanover is a popular shopping destination, home to the Arundel Mills shopping mall and several shopping centers. It is also a popular nightlife destination, home to Maryland Live! Casino.

Property Ratings at Belmont Station
Had a tour scheduled for 4:00 pm but came slightly early. I came around 3:35 but there was a sign on the leasing office door stating they stepped out of the office and would be back at 3:30. It was a little after 3:30 when i arrived but i thought they were touring with another client or had to step out for whatever the reason so i waited outside for a couple minutes. No one came So i decided to wait in my car. I noticed another woman pull up and tried to go In the leasing office and noticed the doors were locked as well. She waited outside for 5-10 mins until someone opened the door. To my surprise someone was just sitting and waiting in the office. The lady let her in so i thought maybe they came back and were ready as i seen she took the sign of the door. As I’m getting out of the car i see another woman pull up and get out and walk to the door with food. As I’m pulling on the still locked door even though someone just opened it, the woman with food asked if i was a resident, i informed her no and she let me know they were closed for break. I apologized and let her know i had a tour at 4:00 at this time it was 3:45. She looked at me and said well you’re early. Her attitude was uncalled for and although i was early i wasn’t rude. I understand if you need time but to be taking your lunch at the time you have a scheduled tour is unprofessional. She told me to wait and i agreed but as i though on it i ended up just leaving because the first impression wasn’t great. I wouldn’t want to live somewhere where the staff is rude. Left a nasty taste in my mouth but i hope they enjoyed their Wendy’s.
There have been at least five leasing managers here in the last two years. No one sticks around very long, and you're lucky if you recognize one person in the front office on any given day. You will pay a $76/month common area maintenance fee to use a gym with no AC, a pool that is closed for lack of lifeguard more often than not, a playground with old and broken equipment, and trashcans that are never emptied. Don't bother putting in maintenance tickets -- they are closed and ignored. When an oven caught fire in one apartment, the fire alarms in the rest of the building didn't go off and no one had any idea there was a problem until two fire trucks pulled into the parking lot. There is dog poop everywhere -- on the grass, overflowing in the outdoor trashcans, on the sidewalks, and even INSIDE the building. You'll jump for joy if a week goes by that you don't have to step around dog poop on the stairs or pee in the elevator. No, this is not an exaggeration! This place used to be a lovely place to live, but now it's a total dump. Consider yourself warned!
The lack of communication and customer service is awful! I submitted an application and never heard back on the status of my application. It took several follow up calls/emails to get in touch with the property manager. The leasing consultants are not knowledgeable and couldn’t answer basic questions. Save yourself the headache and rent elsewhere.
I applied for a 2 bedroom online. The leasing consultant did not answer any of my calls when I made many attempts to follow up on my application. Sent emails also. When she did finally decide to return my call, I wanted to withdraw my application. I then learned that a check would be mailed to me for only $500 although I decided not to proceed after being frustrated due to them being non responsive. I followed up by email a couple of days later to ask what date was the check mailed, again, no response! I then decided to contact my bank to dispute all charges. My bank quickly investigated my claim and returned ALL funds spent for application and security deposit the very next day! GOOD LUCK if you decide to go this way??
I have lived here for 2 years it has been great. Biggest complaint JRK management does not respond to emails and you cannot get anyone on the phone, DO NOT RENT ANY PROPERTIES FROM THIS COMPANY! The security door in our building has been broken a couple of months with no date for complete repairs, most annoying we have a thief in the building. and now we get to pay an additional 20 dollars for parking .When you speak with someone in the rental office they just look at you and say awe to bad, or we heard. save your money time and energy, everything looks good but its not.
This is one of the most beautiful apartment complex I’ve ever been in. The appliances are up to date, the amenities are a perfect fit for everyone even the kids. The neighborhood is safe as well and nice and clean. One more thing I can’t forget the leasing consultants the manager and the rest of the staff, there hospitality is out of this world, make you feel right at home.
As I sit here in my 80 Degree apartment due to the AC being broke, it is hard to have anything nice to say. My AC Has broken three days in a row and the service is terrible, they say they cannot get anytime to my apartment due to the fact “it’s not hot enough”. Honestly take your money elsewhere. I have had a terrible experience living here and would not recommend it to anyone.
I’ve lived here for 9 months. It is great!! The leasing staff knows you by name! Community is safe, secure, quiet, clean, right off highway and grounds are kept well. There is $30 valet trash fee that is not optional. I don’t mind as it’s convenient to leave trash outside your door. 24/7 gym that has core equipment, nice pool area and beautiful leasing office. They also host events. I went to a wine and paint by the pool last summer which had snacks and mimosas!! I’ll most likely stay here for next few years if life permits it. I’m not sure how much rent increases per year but will maybe write another review when I get new lease. Great piece of mind here which is what you want after long day of work or to raise a family.
I have been here 2 yrs and moved in right when the new owner took over
Belmont Station is a great place to live for a young working professional, or a young family. The biggest drawback is that it is off of route 1, however it is set back and you would not know it was there unless you were going there. It is a cute and quiet neighborhood that feels safe. All of the apartments are being renovated, so if you are signing a new lease you will get a beautiful space. The amenities are very nice. There is also easy access to many stores, and you are just minutes away from Ellicott City and Columbia. I love it here.
Belmont Station Apts. are very nice but very pricey. I still live there because they are convenient and easy access to highways. Being a single mom with three kids is very hard but I try and make all ends meet for the sake of my kids.
