I have lived at Beneficent House for over 7 years, and in that time I have found my apartment home to be one of the best deals in Providence. They offer studio, 1 bed and 2 beds that are affordably priced compared to other pricey city residences The friendly staff strives to resolve any issues that arise. Management keeps residences apprised with many emails , and the maintenance staff is quick to respond to calls. So if you are looking for a safe place to lay your head then perhaps Beneficent is also for you.

I have lived here for over 15 years and have never felt more comfortable and secure in those years....the staff over the years have been absolutely pleasant, always, always spoke when they saw me, which put a smile on my face....Maintenance is above reproach...they will answer within 24 hours, fix the whatever has to be fixed, clean up, and maintain a nice and comfortable conversation while they work...almost like family...Location is key...I enjoy going to plays and concerts...I am in walking distance for both.

The elevators are broken for weeks at a time. The garage door was broken and open for months. The owner is more interested in a beautiful exterior than the residents.
Property Manager at Beneficent House, Responded To This Review
We understand your recent frustration with the elevators. We had ordered replacement parts for one elevator and were told by our supplier that the parts were on back order. While this elevator was out of service, our second elevator began to experience slower than usual responses. We think this was due to over-use. We had no choice but to wait for the parts to arrive and for our service vendor to install them for the elevator that was out of service. We apologize for the inconvenience this caused, but operational safety is our top priority when it comes to elevators. The garage door was indeed open for few days while we waited for replacement parts as well.
I really can't imagine living anywhere else. The building is pristine. Management, and maintenance staff are always friendly and helpful. It is in a great location Down City. The rent is reasonable, and includeds utilities.
Live here now best value location amenities and services available. Close to everything Providence has to offer best of all you can walk everywhere located at the nexus of downcity and jewelry district so you can enjoy Providence without needing to use your car . Walk to new waterfront park with pedestrian bridge to Wickenden St.and Trader Joe's . Great management and maintenance staff always attentive and friendly . You won't find a better place to live in this neighborhood.
I’m living in this property for 10 years is an extremely beautiful, well kept and peaceful place. Everything is so beautiful that I feel like I at a resort. The office staff are extremely accommodating and friendly also. It could not be better located and is amidst a lot of shopping, restaurants, transportation and schools

It is disappointing to read your review because our site staff takes great pride in all aspects of their work. In fact, several performance metrics indicate that the site staff is highly regarded by the residents of Beneficent House. We encourage you to contact the management office if there is a specific issue on which we can help you.
I have lived on this property for 18 years. There have been so many improvements over the years. The building is well run. The inside and out are pristine. The managment reacts quickly to request. The rent is reasonable for the city. The first floor has some patio apartments. No other building in the city proper has this. Electric, heat and airconditioning included. Wouldn't move. Nothing better in the city of Providence.
