Property Ratings at Bennett
I would strongly advise against living in this complex. Since it was sold last year, management has been virtually nonexistent-no one is ever in the office, and they rarely respond to inquiries. As a single female, I've felt increasingly unsafe here, which is why l've been trying to obtain a release from my lease for the past month, but no one has even bothered to reach out. The condition of the property has deteriorated significantly; there is trash everywhere, Walmart shopping carts scattered around, and no effort to maintain the grounds. Despite a steep rent increase, there are no amenities to justify the cost. Utilities are also high due to persistent leaks, poor insulation, and difficulty in keeping the apartment properly heated or cooled. The walls are paper-thin, so you hear everything going on around you. Additionally, there's a constant smell of weed throughout the building, and crime has noticeably increased. Do they even require background checks anymore?!?! It is concerning to see how many arrest records have taken place within the last month in this complex. Checkout the Greenville PD website. Overall, this place has gone downhill fast, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

I have been a resident at Bradford Park for 10 years and in July the Apartment Complex was sold. I was apprehensive about signing a lease with the new management team because my unit needed basic maintenance repairs along with cosmetic upgrades that the previous management team neglected to offer. But I had become accustomed to the convenience of the area with the many shopping and dining choices that are available. Kyle the Bradford Park Community Manager promised to remedy the maintenance issues and provide several unit upgrades with new flooring, blinds, fresh paint and appliance replacement. I put my trust in the management team and signed a new lease. Needless to say Kyle and his maintenance team have followed thru on all the commitments they made to me. It has been wonderful to experience great customer service.

We have lived here several years and I even lived here in a different unit in college. I can say that back then it was decent and nothing special, but a new owner and manager took over this summer and it has improved immensely! When we found out the complex was being bought out we were worried but the transition couldn't have been better. The new management company are actively renovating units and let us move into a freshly renovated unit right away! They have been very accommodating, easy to communicate with, and quick to respond whenever we have any sort of maintenance issue or other concern. Although these may seem like bare minimum, it very much so feels like a breath of fresh air after the experience we had with previous management. The property manager, Kiel, has been an absolute pleasure to work with and makes a great effort to offer an excellent experience and service. He is always around and it is very clear he is working hard to continue making upgrades and additions to the property to increase the value for tenants. I have been very pleased with the new staff and am excited to see the continued improvements that will be made to this property over the coming years!
New owner/new mgmt as of early July. It is now early Aug., and there is Zero Organization, Zero cooperation, and SUPER High rents for the quality apt.!! It will be Months, if not Years before 'planned upgrades' are done, but they want 150% more than June rent?? IF you can afford the higher rents, Wait until improvements are At Least IN PROCESS!! MAYBE by then the new mgmt./ maint. people will have their act together! (I'm an optimist.)
Lived here over a year and a half and always paid multiple months of rent up front. The office staff is awful. JoAnn is rude and always has an attitude. She is allowing tenants not on the lease to stay and often lies saying the police have been called to your building just to get you out. Would not recommend strictly based on her poor property management skills.
Maintenance workers just take forever, the apartments are well kept though. Quiet for the most part.
Bradford Park is a lower priced apartment complex in the midst of higher priced and higher quality complexes. This creates an unique atmosphere of a lower price apartment in a better neighborhood area. Originally I lived in a two bedroom, first floor apartment in the back of the complex near the edge of the adjacent field. We had regular problems with roaches that exterminator treatments only temporarily remedied. After the hurricane in 2011, there was extensive water damage and a mold problem developed. The office staff assured us that we caused the problem by not drying the window sills on a regular basis, which seemed like an odd response. Six months into my lease, I moved to a second floor one bedroom apartment because of personal reasons. The office staff begrudgingly allowed the move. After moving to the second floor apartment in the same building as the office I never had any problems with bugs or mold (even though I never had to wipe condensation off the window sill). You could hear the neighbors slamming the kitchen drawers on occasion, but other than that there was not much of a noise problem. Living in the first floor apartment, as expected you could hear children running in the apartment above. The neighborhood was lively on warm summer nights, but I felt comfortable walking around by myself at night. The apartments are a decent size and generally well maintained. The office staff is not the friendliest, but there were always available for questions or concerns. If I had to move back to the area, I would seriously consider this apartment group again.
The best thing about the apartments are the location and the friendly, family atmosphere. There are college students that live there, but there are also alot of children and families, so it is a nice mixture. The office staff are HORRIBLE. Everytime you call in with a maintenance issue, you are drilled with a 100 questions about your neighbors and youreself. Very unprofessional and rude. The apartments are cheaply made and has very thin walls (so you can hear your neighbor tip-toeing). The best thing is the free internet that is provided by Suddenlink & not Wavelength (which is what Wainwright uses and it is no good!). By far, the worst is the office staff.
