I'd like to strongly recommend this community because is peaceful and clean with some exceptions like dogs owners should be more aware of their pets!
Great office staff, convenient to stores and schools. Apartments are roomy.
Rent too high,and no cleaning done on outside corridors. The end of the stairs at the bottom is just filthy.
I would recommend this apartment community because they take care of the residents in a caring way. They make you feel important!
This community is safe & for leaving here for over 12yrs. I have never heard a crime

The apartment community is safe and close to many shopping areas.
Its very nice. Some of the bldgs. need to be painted, they are peeling and looking kind of rough. Someone smokes pot nightly outside our bedroom window and it comes inside and its very irritating. Hard to find parking. Overall, we love the apartment and the greenbelt out the back windows. Its' quiet and we are happy.
We are always taken care of by professional maintenance personel.

This is a quiet peaceful and safe place to live. Neighbors are pleasant and respectful. Office staff always friendly and helpful. Maintenance is top notch.
I have lived here for going on 4 years now. When we moved in we asked for a fireplace and a garage, neither was available. Our assigned parking space is 2 1/2 buildings away from our unit and the office refuses to get us one closer even though there are 5 spots around the building that are always empty. There is also supposed to be permit parking which they don't enforce, and good luck getting a spot by your building if it's after 2:00pm. The front gate does nothing since people will just park and wait for someone to open it and follow you in, or wait for someone to leave and go in the exit gate. The trash compactor is directly in front of the gate and is often overflowing with trash piled up in front of it, so the first thing you get to see when you drive on the property is a huge pile of trash. The office also will not notify you if you have packages, you just have to guess and constantly call/go up there to see if you have deliveries. Every year like clockwork there is an infestation of sugar ants, we have stopped reporting it and do a preventative spray every year just before spring. I would highly recommend looking elsewhere, I know I'm not renewing my lease again this year.

Thank you for your recent review. I had spoken with you last month about many of the issues that you brought up in the review. The first situation is about parking and I informed you that we would be reassigning spaces to try and get everyone as close to their apartment as possible. We are unable to enforce our parking permit system right now due to the moratorium that is in place. The front gate does work how it is suppose to. If residents want the gate to close right after them, then they need to stop right after going through and let it completely close before continuing into the community. As far as people going in the out gate, that one is tough as they risk the chance that their car may get hit by the gate closing. You mention about the garbage often being overflowing out by the compactor, however, I drive into the community almost every morning by 8 am and there is not normally trash out there. If there are any bags on the sidewalk area, that would be from residents not properly disposing of their trash. We do have the trash service that picks up trash every evening, so there should not be reason for residents to drop off their own trash. I know that some people decide that they want to take out their own trash though which we are fine with also. As far as the office not contacting you if you have a package in the office, the post office is suppose to notify you if they leave a package in the office for you. We try to contact people about once a week if they haven’t picked up their packages to let them know that there is one here. We are only accepting larger packages from the post office at this time. All other packages are delivered to your front door. We are looking into another option for residents which is a service that will store all packages for you and then will deliver them to you at a time and day that you are home. If we are notified that residents have any pest issues, we have pest control come out every week and are able to take care of the situation weekly for our residents. Please feel free to contact us if you have any further concerns.

They keep it very clean & I haven't seen or heard of any major problems.
Its a great secure complex. There's rarely if ever anything suspicious seeming going on. Its conveniently close to freeways and shopping. Its a great amount of square footage. The kitchens are a decent size. You get your own private balcony. The property manager listens to concerns that residents have and actually takes action to resolve these concerns. The grounds are very well kept. You have at least one assigned parking. And there's plenty windows which allows natural light in.

If a top floor apartment can be secured, I would recommend this apartment community. If noise isn't a concern for folks, I'd recommend it regardless. No place is perfect, but I want to do my part to help make this a better community to live in.
I think the parking situation needs to be much more clear
Overall, the community is nice. For the most part it's quiet and people are typically friendly. Office staff (from my experience, Elese only) are friendly. Nice amenities. The main issue is the parking, and how people like to use the lot like a storage space for their vehicles.
I'll recommend this community very gladly due to this new management that is been taking care on every issue there is and I've already lived over 3 years ! ??
I would recommend this apartment community only if you plan fyi live on the 3rd floor or have respectful upstairs neighbors. We live on the 2nd floor and can hear or neighbors heavily walking, opening/closing doors, cabinets. Dropping things. Anywhere from 4am to 1am it's just constant noise you can hear and be woken up to

It’s overall a fine place to live just hoping they take care of the ice and snow quickly and make walkways and stairs safe for people to walk on this time
I do not know anyone who is currently renting, but I would recommend this community if I were asked.
I would recommend for neighborhood safety, garage access, covered parking, and extra amenities. The only complaint I have is that the cleaning team hired did not clean much, my carpet and guest bedroom still smell like pot from the previous owners, this for some people like myself (germaphobic individual) is a bit of a turn off, however, everything else is amazing.
The decor is a bit dated. The apartment was fairly small and I'm not sure my bed and dresser would fit in the bedroom. I don't like carpet. I don't like that trash bins are kept in the apartment. The price is good, but I'm not sure that is enough to get me to move in.
This place is not somewhere you want to live. The apartments are outdated for their cost. They do not take care of their trash bins which are always overflowing. They have a eat problem. Rats chew the wires in residents cars. Managment is rude and lazy. They will have your packages and not even check. Cars are broken into and there is never any parking. Do nog rent here. There are better apartments in the same area that are newer and safer.

At this point, there is no reason I would not recommend this community to others.
Have concerns over security, necessity for the management to work on the security issues and introduce proper system to ensure safety of everyone in the community., especially Tailgating needs to be prevented

I have only lived here for less than a week, but so far my experience with all of the staff has been very positive.
Benson Downs overall was a good apartment experience for the cost. The main complaints I had overall were due to the lack of courtesy from neighbors (dog poop everywhere, constant marijuana smell everywhere, etc) rather than the apartment staff themselves. My main recommendation would be to be more diligent about providing pet waste stations around the property.
The overall availability of parking, and speed of maintenance response make Benson Downs a safe option for living. Unfortunately, the constant issues with trash piling up, and low quality paint in the apartment t is frustrating. Touching a wall causes the paint to scuff...
Great staff and the community is quiet. One complaint is that residents don't clean up after their animals. Everyday there is dog poop in the yard in front of my apartment.
I have never experienced such rude and disrespectful behavior from office staff. The lack of responsibility and ownership of either maintenance or grounds upkeep. When you call you don’t get the office staff because your phones are always off you get the offsite phone help. They put in a call to have somebody return your request but nobody ever does. It’s over populated with not enough parking so if you get home past 5 o’clock you’re not gonna find parking .

I have been here for a long time and I feel like i am well taken care of by the management team.
Rude management and do not care who lives there. It use to be good when Justin was manager. Now in past 3 years too much noise and no parking. I will not recommend it to anybody.
Gym should be open 24-7. Currently closed on all holidays which are the rare times I have to actually hit the gym. This is definitely a negative factor.
The place is quiet and clean, the clubhouse is great and easy to access, the parking is acceptable given the number of people that live here, and the office personnel are wonderful
it is a good gated community so I will recommend it. but felt bad because some offers are given for new customers but no offers for current customers even if they rent a new house :-(
Wish they could be more straight forward so that we would me wasting money on some extra fees

I would....where I am currently at I have been here for 10 yrs ...1500 square feet...and sits on lake Washington...and an attached garage. It's hard to beat the view of the lake Washington ... although I am still tempted .. Thank you anyway ..
