Locals enjoy 18 miles of trails to hike and bike, along with places for canoes and kayaks to enter and leave the adjacent river. Most commerce can be found in the southern portion oSaint Andrews, just outside the tree-lined sections of this sought-after neighborhood.

Property Ratings at Bent Tree Apartments
Only thing I didn’t like was the old stove that we had and the refrigerator but other than that the apartment was nice . Didn’t really have any problems but if we did kantienne made sure it was fixed .
Not at all what’s pictured. The tennis court is dilapidated and the pool hasn’t been opened in years. They’re gonna tell you “not this weekend but the next one” when you ask about it opening up but according to other residents, it’s never open! The dumpster bins are always full with trash juice trickling in the street which makes the area smelly. Oh, listen out for gunshots every now and again (may be from neighboring apartments??)

Thank you for reaching out with your concerns, we are sorry to hear that you are unhappy with our property. We are continually working to give our residents the best possible living conditions. The opening of the pool has been delayed due to maintenance issues which we continue to work on, as well as unforeseen weather problems. A new trash compactor is scheduled to be installed in August. The gunshots are from the neighboring community as we have weekly property checks through the Richland County Sheriff Department. Please feel free to reach out to the property office with any other questions or concerns.
Lived there for 3 years. It's cheap and relatively close to downtown. The complex never looks great. Trash is littered throughout. People hardly clean up after their dogs. Those are more so the fault of gross people but it'd be nice if it was cleaned up. Landscaping is taken care of routinely, however. If you don't really plan on going out downtown (because ubers are way too expensive and might not even come) it's alright. Had a crack in the tub that I had to tell them about multiple times until they had to entirely replace the tub which I got no advanced notice of and couldn't shower at the apartment for a week. AC went out a few times. Heat never worked. Had maintenance come out to check on the heat, they cut a hole in the ceiling I guess to check something up there, and never patched it up. Multiple wall outlets are loose for whatever reason, so they can't be used. Expect some pests during the summer months, whatever pest control sprays doesn't really work. I got my own stuff that worked better. All that said, my neighbors were pretty quiet and I never had any complaints about that. Could always sleep early with no noise. Management was nice and whenever I had a complaint it was addressed somewhat quickly. But when you put in a maintenance request, you never know when they come. Could be within a few hours, could be a couple days. And for certain requests they will just open your door without warning. It's an ok place to live if you're a working adult and don't want to spend a lot to live downtown. But you get what you pay for. If you're looking to save money it's probably your best bet, but if you've got the money I'd look elsewhere.
I moved to this property after seeing a friends unit, but I regret not doing a more thorough evaluation of this complex before moving in. The exterior of the buildings are kind of drab and ill managed along with the inside of the units. I moved here thinking that a great price such as these it would not be that bad but I was sadly mistaken. I had a major roach issue in my kitchen areas such as cabinets, doors, etc. You can request Pest Control at your discretion but whatever chemicals they were using didn’t seem to work. Within my first 6 months of staying in this unit my water heater pipes bursted and flooded the entire laundry room and front entrance area. When I called the emergency maintenance technician he tried to “talk me through turning off the water” instead of simply coming to fix the problem immediately. After two days of straight rain, I noticed water coming in from beneath the floor boards in my dining room area. If you are looking for a cheap place to live in the Columbia area but don’t care about basic amenities/services THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU. I moved out with no intent of renewing a lease here.
My overall experience here at Bent Tree has been great. Upon moving in, The two ladies in the leasing office makes everything 100x better. They were very helpful and pleasant. Certain appliances could use some upgrading being that’s its 2020. But for the price, you definitely get what you’re paying for! I love it, my 1 year old and I are comfortable and we feel safe.

Thank you for your review. We are so glad that you are enjoying living here!
AWFUL! When I first moved here 2 years ago, everything was fine. The staff was great and maintenance was always available when needed. This new staff and maintenance is BEYOND lazy! my air hasn’t been working for months and they have yet to come fix it. DO NOT STAY HERE!
this place is the worst, I lived there for four months and complained about loose electrical outlets, the a/c does not work, and that the heat would not turn off and the only thing that got fixed was the heat.

Bent Tree is in a great spot. I love my apartment especially since that bathroom is not in the bedroom. The only thing i would recommend is adding better light in the breezeways.

I definitely see the improvements that have happened. These changes couldn’t have come at a better time. Now only if they can get more maintenance guys

I’m so happy that CHANGE has finally come! The new staff is very friendly and easy to talk to makes me kind of upset that I put my notice in because the only reason I am moving is because treatment of previous staff.

I have recently moved into Bent Tree Apartments and I am thoroughly impressed with the complex, the management and the maintenance staff. My apartment was not perfect but the staff here quickly made accommodations to get my apartment up to par with my expectations. I am extremely satisfied after one month of living here at Bent Tree. My apartment is affordable and nice. I am positive that I would not have received such prompt service at any other apartment complex in this area, and did I mention that this apartment is affordable?

I would not recommend this to anyone. Water is running through the walls and dripping through the ceiling of the building, and the Maintenance Supervisor's solution was to let the water dry and then repaint. This is the same Supervisor that admitted to leaving the water running upstairs to cause the flooding. This water has been collecting for 2 days and has only spread through the ceiling. Fungus or bacteria needs no time to collect in this water, and surely will. They should fix the structure of this building before moving any new tenants in, but they only plan to cover it up until the next tenants move in and realize the damage is not done. This is the 2nd flood in this building in 3 months. The first time was a plumbing issue.
