Koreatown is a vibrant LA neighborhood fille with hidden gems, bars, eateries, and a collision of cultures. As the name suggests, the atmosphere in Koreatown is heavily influenced by Korean culture. The neighborhood is a favorite destination among foodies city-wide for its endless selection of authentic Korean restaurants, but the community has a much more diverse character than that: the broad range of cultural influences is exemplified in landmarks like the synagogue and contemporary art gallery of the Wilshire Boulevard Temple, the Latin fusion cuisine of Roy Choi’s restaurants, and the popular German/Korean/Hawaiian tinged gastropub, Biergarten.
Although the area is a hot spot for LA residents’ day trips, Koreatown is known as one of the best places to live in LA. Most locals rent their homes and enjoy parks, coffee shops, and stores within walking distance of their apartments.

Property Ratings at Berendo Terrace
First of all, the apartment is great. Way more square footage for the dollar than in most of LA. We've got a couple terraces and tons of light with a view of the cathedral on Wilshire and the Hollywood Hills beyond. Secondly, the neighborhood is fantastic—walking distance to the Metro (15 min to DTLA), Ralphs, H-Mart, a quick bike ride to Erewhon—and it's K-Town, so tons of restaurants and bars in the 'hood. And finally, a little while ago we got a new management company and things are a lot more buttoned up than before that change, thanks in large part to our new manager, José, very professional, on top of things, super-responsive and just a very chill dude. It all adds up to 5 stars, and I don't grade on a curve.
So Bad management and landlord. It’s full of trash most of the time no one clean and take the trash. Also, they are not professional with dealing with tenant complaints. Highly recommended to stay a way from this apartment. You can expect any kind of trouble and noise and no one care. All what they care about collecting the rent.
This is literally the WORST apartment complex in Los Angeles. There are homeless people sleeping in the storage unit of the garage and the management refuses to do anything about it. Cars are stolen and broken into constantly. 2 cars were stolen on nye. The trash is absolutely overflowing everywhere in the parking garages and we’ve complained for over a month and they’ve done nothing about it. The fire alarm has been pulled every single day and night for the past 5 days straight and they refuse to do anything about it. In addition my kitchen sink has overflown and flooded our kitchen 4 times! Also packages get stolen ALL THE TIME! We cant sleep, we live in trash, our cars get broken into and stolen, our kitchens are flooded, and the management does absolutely NOTHING! NEVER EVER LIVE HERE!
This apartment building has amenities, but the cons outweigh the good. There are car thefts from the parking garage; as well break ins by smashing windows. The complex is always dirty with mounds of trash that pile up in common areas (incl. both floors of the parking garage and the mail room). The building manager rarely replies to e-mails, including in emergency. It took 3 days to fix the gate after someone had jammed it and broken in someone’s vehicle. There are people who do drugs behind the building all the time, so you’ll find people od’ing or used syringes. There has also been a couple fires behind the building as people light fires to mattresses/couches. Packages often get stolen from the mail room, as there is no lockers to store packages in. I wish I was being dramatic, but if I could save anyone from any of these incidents happening to them, I’ll feel better.
For months we’ve complained about our packages getting stolen and our storage was broken into. They’ve done nothing to remedy the situation besides blame us because couriers don’t deliver to your door. Today, our CAR was stolen from our parking space in the sparking structure. This is an unsafe place to live with high theft and even reported break ins to apartments.
