West Wichita encompasses a vast swath of land west of the Arkansas River. Within its borders you’ll find charming neighborhoods and historic homes just south of Riverside Park plus all the amenities and attractions west of I-235, such as the Sedgwick County Zoo. While most people think of the cobbled streets of Old Town when they think of Wichita, much of the character attributed to this Great Plains city can be found in West Wichita.
Between the ever-expanding suburbs in the western reaches of the area, and the charming suburbs just near the river, West Wichita has something for everyone. There are restaurants aplenty, incredible country clubs, expansive parks, and great schools and universities. No matter where your dream apartment is, you can be in the center of the city in 15 minutes.

Property Ratings at Berkshire Apartments and Townhomes
If I could give 0 stars then I would. We had no problems living in the Berkshire Apartments and Townhomes until it came to breaking our lease due to a job change. We knew of the money we’d have to spend in order to break the lease but when we asked if we could have somebody take over our lease in the beginning of July, the leasing office said yes that’s fine. I even called twice to confirm it. Well two weeks later we get an email saying actually no you can’t. So we had to pay the money for breaking the lease on top of half months rent because THE LEASING OFFICE misinformed US. If we had known somebody couldn’t have taken over our lease we would’ve put in the 30 day notice when we called regarding it. When we tried to call the regional manager, she basically said if we didn’t have the money then we shouldn’t have even moved in and that we should’ve read our lease. So nice! You also get charged additional fees for when you move out that aren’t directly addressed in the lease. $75 for a carpet cleaning that already had stains on it when we moved in. Go somewhere else to save your money and time dealing with management because who knows what they're gonna tell you.

If you have any further questions or concerns, please contact us directly at residentservicesKS@monarchinvestment.com. Best regards.
Worst apartment I’ve ever lived in, I’ve been Eastside, north end, west side, south side, and the quality of their apartment matches with planeview homes. Old & beat down, they never fix problems or issues unless you call repeated times a month.

I love living here at Berkshire. The managers are so friendly and the maintenance guys rock! The neighborhood is super safe and all my neighbors are really nice.
This apartment complex is a great place to live. The staff and residents are ver friendly the apartments are very spacious and great for families and pets. It is surrounded by great places to eat and shop. Best place :)
This is a great place to live, the apartment is very spacious the grounds are always well maintained, the staff and maintenance crew are great and they are very quick to respond to anything you need. They are pet friendly and they have a wonderful dog park they just built. They are always do fun things for their residents. Great place!
We live on he second floor in a two bedroom apartment. They are pretty plain, average sized apartments. There is no deck or backdrop on the apartments. We have neighbors on both sides and we never hear any noise from them. The kitchen is fairly small but there is enough space for our dining room table that sits two adults and one child. The positives about these apartments are that we were able to sign a short term lease, however at a higher price. After the lease is up you go month to month but have to continue paying that higher price. Another positive is that there are very few breed restrictions on dogs. They also recently added a dog park in the middle of the complex. Unfortunately, it's still a bit far away from our unit, but it is a nice addition. There are several places to let your dog potty and they provide small bags to pick it up and dispose it. The price is probably average for this area, however there is no pool. There is a small exercise room but it's at the fro t of the complex by the main office. They do have a community website that you can talk with other residents on, pay your rent and make maintenance requests.
My townhouse has been a great experience. I think the area is great and the staff is friendly. The apartment seems like new and the size is amazing. I would stay here if I could afford it, but my roommate is leaving. It is a little pricey but not really over the top for what you get
