This is a great place to live. I love our unit, the neighbors are very friendly, and the new management goes out of her way to make sure everything is smooth. the maintenance people are very helpful and will show up at your door shortly after you put a notice. Nice gym and pool area and we always have community events that are always fun. We have a 15 month lease but planning to renew it for another 15 month soon :)

Maintenance leaves messes and doesn't fix things properly. The office staff isn't friendly. You will definitely get charged when moving out. If you decide to stay, the rent will increase to a ridiculous amount. Either way it's a catch 22. Mold is a huge issue here. My apartment had it and I ended up contracting contact dermatitis as a result which was a complete nightmare. The stairwells leak really bad when it rains. While I was there, management did nothing to fix this issue. The walls and floors are extremely thin so be prepared to hear your neighbors. The elevators smell of urine because people don't clean up after their pets properly. They also are allowed to make messes in the hallways with leaking garbage. There is no accountability.

Shady business practices. Potential tenants please use a blacklight before moving in and report any issues to the awesome office staff. Otherwise you will be charged for the prior tenant's issues especially if maintenance didn't do the proper due diligence. Also mold is a huge issue here. In addition the stair cases leak really bad when it rains which management hasn't bothered fixing.

We take all allegations seriously and address all issues that are pointed out to us immediately. If you had any issues during your initial movin-in or during your entire stay, we would have liked to have heard about it. All apartments and walked thoroughly and cleaned prior to moving in. If you were charged upon move-out, it was due to the condition of your apartment from the duration of your tenancy and not because of a previous tenant.
Our 2-1/2 year stay at the Berkshire Lauderdale-by—Sea has been an exceptional pleasure. The leasing staff, housekeeping and maintenance groups were extremely responsive to our every request. The apartment upon move in was spotless, any time we placed a maintenance request our needs were met within hours if not sooner. Living in a smokeless environment and having staff have renters abide has led to renters having a clean and odorless living experience. We literally have no exceptions to state. Living at the Berkshire was a wise decision on our part. We thank the entire staff for making our time here a pleasure. PS: The pool deck is like being at a 5 Star resort!
I have lived at Berkshire for 3 years and have overall really enjoyed my time here! The building is well maintained, staff and management are friendly, helpful, and human. Love that my unit is spacious and bright - close enough to Las Olas when I want to be there and I enjoy being in a quieter area near the beach. The parking situation for guests was inconvenient for a while due to changes with the garage next door (separate ownership) but they have since implemented a solution which is so far working great! I will miss seeing my fellow dog walkers in the community every morning!
I have been a resident at Berkshire for the last three years and have slowly watched the parking situation get worse and worse. One of the main reasons I chose to move to Berkshire years ago was due to their abundance of parking. My previous apartment complexes always had little to no guest parking available, so naturally this was the first thing I asked about prior to moving in. We used to be able to park in the VERY large Bayview garage alongside the building without a problem. As of about a year ago, they took away our ability to park in the Bayview garage and instead told us to park out front in the dental/Landmark office parking. A few months later, that was taken away and we were told to park in the back by Imperial Point on the opposite side of the building - now also no longer permitted. Cut to February 2021, we are now told in order to have guests, we need to obtain a Fob ($5 every time) and have them park in the Bayview garage. Forget about having guests if the office is closed for the day, you won't have access to the fob. For a "luxury apartment building," this is unacceptable when hundreds of spaces are not being utilized in the garage alongside the building. The frustration from the parking situation is not worth the price paid in rent. I am currently looking into other places to live because I'm fed up with not having options for guests. The staff here is great and always very helpful and kind, but unfortunately the current property owners are not very accommodating to the needs of the residents.
I have been living here for 3 years. The building has decent location, and the maintenance staff is very friendly, those are pretty much the only positive about living in this community. First off, the management office is TERRIBLE. There is so much turnover in this office, but the replacements are always horrendous. They provide no customer service, don’t host any events for residents, and provide no updates when things on the property are broken. After the most recent hurricane is took 3 months to get the elevators working properly. People have had their cars broken into, and have been held at gunpoint. The ONLY reason I stayed at this building for as long as I did was because it was so close to my office, other than that there are virtually no benefits living here. I can’t wait to move out and never have to deal with the terrible management office again!
I have lived in many rentals over the years and nothing can compare to the quality of Berkshire Lauderdale by the Sea. The apartment is spotless at move in and anytime you need repair work they are quick to respond. The leasing manager is super friendly and always willing to go the extra mile. The maintence staff is on top of their game! The building is maintained beautifully, my apartment repairs are done quickly and they are always so friendly. It's the best kept secret in Ft Lauderdale!
I stayed here for a holiday weekend to visit a friend. This is also one of several apartment properties I checked out in the Fort Lauderdale area. It's very nice with all the modern features. Great and moderately quiet location; in between downtown Lauderdale and Pompano. Also, it's not too far from the beach. The only flaw, for my taste, is the unattractive and smelly carpeting in the resident hallways. I hope Berkshire considers replacing it with perhaps a decent vinyl tile floor design in the near future --- more durable and cost worthy.
My apartment is spacious,,has a small bedroom,brand new bathroom,new kitchen,granite counters,new oak cabinets,marble floors,a pool,laundry facilities,and is 2 blocks from the beach!!
My apartment is just the size I need,it has new marble floors,new appliances,new kitchen cabinets,granite counters.The bathroom is also new, glass shower,it has a nice size closet,we have a pool area where we can have food and barbecue.My apt building is tranquil,happy,we all respect each others privscy.I love my apt.
The Manor are Luxury Apartments conveniently located in Ft. Lauderdale. The views are spectacular, with ocean and city scapes. The night lights are spectacular. The common areas are spacious and inviting.
