this my second year leave in the community, I love it, and the stuff like family to me
Just drove around to check the property and i liked what i saw, It is super quite and very well maintain. Liked the location, very central to all shops and restaurants. I'm coming from Miami, checked several properties and Bernwood was one of my favorites, next time i will stop by the office to get all the information.
I am very happy to have rented here because the apartment has very good conditions and the maintenance service is very fast, the attention on my arrival was very good by the two ladies of the office, I hope this remains the same service to live a lot time here, it's really quiet
Assistant managers have to work on holidays and take it out on residents. Unprofessional and rude. My husband and I have paid our rent on time consistently and have a hiccup due to uncertain hurricane Dorian asking for an extension on rent and I was told no, not in a nice way. Sherel was uncaring and instead brought up trash that I leave outside my 3rd floor apt with my 2 little kids and put in dump when I leave. Continued to yell over me over the phone apparently in front of residents bc she cut me off to tell me so. All I can say is that when you live in a LOW INCOME community , this WILL be what you have to deal with. Lack of respect and dignity from the office.
I have been living in Bernwood since 2011 and i will never regret the moment i stopped at this community and rented an apartment, is been a lot of changes since i came, Tom the community Manager is been here since i came and i am always very happy the way he is managing this property, taking care everything and making this a beautiful place. Danny was a Tech when i moved in, now he is a Supervisor and still doing a great job. Rafael is a new tech and i think he started as a Groundskeeper and he is doing a great job, Danny and Rafael just did a repair on my closet going beyond of what they suppose to do to make residents like me happy. I sent an email on a Monday, received an answer on a same day to schedule the best day for me to start the repair and Wednesday they were in my unit fixing the issue. Every time i had any repair they will make sure to do it right away. Bernwood/Tom and their Team/Danny & Rafael are always efficient, i will live here forever. Thank you
Bernwood trace are only interested in perfect angels as tenants. If you one of these humans life happens to and u can't make rent for just one occasion they will file eviction, they have no hearts and no mercies. I paid rent on time for 1.5 years then my account was hacked, every company I owed work with me and offer me grace period except Bernwood, within 2 weeksks they filed an eviction and made a bunch of bogus lies and intimidated threats to scare me into paying rent with money I didn't have
I've lived at Bernwood for Four years. I've asked the manager to update my kitchen like other unit are and he told me that the company does not do that anymore. Come to find out my neighbor is getting a updated kitchen. There is a lot of unfair treatment going on around here. Judge for yourself. Elizabeth
DO NOT MOVE HERE! The apartments are nice. But the maintenance is terrible went 4 days with out air conditioning and 2 months without a stove. Maintenance is very lazy and old! they don't repair much and what they do repair takes over a month for them to actually repair it. The people in the front office are very unorganized and rude.
Friendly, excellent service, clean, new condition, beautiful landscape, great maintenance, neat layout, great price.
Decent apartment. Some broken things that have taken forever to get fixed. Staff is hit or miss as to how helpful they are. But it's still not bad
The units have all the basics and many more. Great looking i will applicate soon for a 1 room apartment.
This is your perfect location centrally located and only 10 minutes to down town Fort Myers. However that is not even the best part because all with in walking distance are: right across the street or just a hop and a quick walk next door you will find a plethora of retailers and restaurants including: Publix, Walmart super store, BJ's Whole sale, Lowe's, Texas Road house, Sushi, Chinese, Dollar store, a large well known Fitness ceter acroos the street and Anytime fitness opening this month 100 feet down the road from my complex. Also, Applebees, McDonalds, Tacobell, Long John Silvers, Subway, Matress store, Dunkin donuts, Circle K, Verizon Wireless, A.C. Moore, Bealls store and the Bealls outlet next door to it. Burger King, Chick Filet, Liqour store, Nail Salon, Mail store like Mail Box Etc., but privately run and they take UPS, FEDEX, USPS, and more. Two Bicycle stores, one for women . Fitness store. Kohl's department store. Culver's coming soon. Pollo Tropical, AT&T Cellular, Bank of America, BB&T Bank, etc. I am 7 minutes from The Forum with another plaza of stores like BedbathandBeyond, Home Depot, Books A Million, Target, another nail salon, Ross Dress for less. Five Guys Burgers. And because everything you could possibly need is so close by you save on Gas. (BJ's Gas, Cirkle K gas, and another gas station at Walmart Plaza.) More about the complex: They are two floor building with 8 total units per building. Concretete first floor and second floor building 2006 built with 2006 hurricane codes which brings your renters insurance down. 3 bed 2 bath end units, and 2 bed 2 bath interior units. Second floor has vaulted ceiling. All units have a beautiful screened lanai with storage closet. Bay windows in end units master bedroom and third bedroom/office. More than ample closet space. Walkin closet in master. Community heated pool year around, work out room/gym. Great President who lives onsite, there is a maintenance man onsite as well who is fairly new and very good. Beautiful landscaping through out and at entrance. Auto sprinklers keep grounds pristine. Fire rated doors at front and back entrance. Can only have electric grills on first floor units only (new Policy). Master bedroom in end units fits king size bed room furniture with room for a sitting area at master bed room bay window. this complex is made up of 80% renter occupied and 20% owner occupied units. Ample deeded parking spots and non deeded guest spots.
I have lived at Bernwood now for 10 years. I am a single parent who never received any financial help from government. Over the last 10 years I have raised three kids here and felt like I had a community helping. The office staff are very helpful. My family has become friends with all of them. As a usual you will always have issues with neighbors but for the most part it has been good. Anytime I have had any issues inside the apartment office staff and maintance are understanding of my work and do their best to accommodate me. The rent is reasonable for this area. Lots of shopping within walking distance. The property is kept clean and their are pet disposal stations throughout the community. I have enjoyed living here.
I wasn't able to move in, but from talking to the staffand from what I saw, it looked like a very nice place. The apartments were very reasonablly priced especially with what the amenities were included. The staff was very nice, extremely helpful, and answered all of my questions without any misunderstanding.
